Candy is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 6 and is © 1997 by Ryan Stevens (writing as "Rybread Celsius").
In this incomplete, surreal, and short game, you play as a child dropped off at your Aunt Lidia's house. Fortunately for you, Auntie's taking her beauty sleep, leaving you free to find and eat all the candy you can.
This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.
> x carpet. x wallpaper. x stairs. x door. s.
> search carpet. (+5)
> x jawbreaker. eat jawbreaker.
Despite the room description, you can't go west or up. You can, however, go down!
In the Carpet
> x candy. take it. (+5) eat it.
> u. e.
> x window. open window.
> x pictures. x scrible. x paper. x shell. x wrapper.
> x doodle. x kleinex. x can. look in can.
Only one of these art pieces is at all useful:
> search wrapper. (+5)
> x peanut. eat peanut.
We've already got all the points we can get in this incomplete game, but we might as well see what the last room has in it.
> x fridge. open fridge. look under fridge.
> x fish. take fish.
> x cigar. x knife. x instructions. x lyrics.
And that's all there is, really.
You have so far scored your-score out of a possible 41, in some turns.
In this incomplete game, 15 points is the true maximum score.
