Discord
by Sean Barrett

Discord is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 6 and is © 2001 by Sean Barrett. It was a participant in the Speed-IF −1 event.

In this short one-room mystery, you play as a detective. Three items were stolen: the mask, the banana, and the tea. You have three suspects: Hank Buzzcrack, Mother Theresa, and T. S. Eliot. It's time to start asking some questions.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.

Interrogation Room

At first, you know six topics: mask, banana, tea, Hank, Theresa, and Eliot. Ask Eliot about the tea and the banana to learn two new topics: the window and the chair, respectively. Ask Theresa about the chair to learn the crucial topic: the cane. Finally, ask all three suspects about the cane to solve your mystery. To wit:

> ask Eliot about banana. ask Theresa about chair.

> ask Theresa about cane. ask Hank about cane. ask Eliot about cane.

Thank You to my Patreon supporters

This walkthrough is provided free of charge since I wrote this walkthrough prior to January 2015 when I began my Patreon account, and also because the work it's based on has less than fifteen locations (so I wouldn't have charged for it anyway). I've since reformatted this walkthrough to use my currently preferred style. I hope you enjoy it!

I'm still creating new walkthroughs! Larger ones too! Please visit my Patreon account if you're interested in helping me create more interactive fiction walkthroughs. I appreciate all the help I can get! Thanks again.
