Light Of My Stomach is a TADS 3 interactive fiction game and is © 2011 by David Fletcher. It was a partipicant in the Speed-IF Jacket 4 event.
This is an unusual story where you play as the primary lightbulb of the John Quincy Adams Gastrodome, but also as Bob Bobkins, competative eater. What secrets is Garry, Bob's opponent in the eating contest, hiding?
This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Version 1 of the game.
You are playing as a lightbulb.
> x me. i. x power. turn on.
Now you're playing as Bob Bobkins.
> x me. x garry. x mayor. x crowd.
The contest begins in earnest. Random foods are being given to both you and Garry. Ignore his foods and eat yours repeatedly:
> eat YOUR-FIRST-FOOD.
> eat YOUR-SECOND-FOOD.
> eat YOUR-THIRD-FOOD.
> eat YOUR-FOURTH-FOOD.
> eat YOUR-FIFTH-FOOD.
> eat YOUR-SIXTH-FOOD. (You can't. You're full.)
> z. x neck. x light.
Garry is a robot! Stop him!
> take booth.
> throw booth at garry —or— hit garry with booth.
Garry can't kill you! He loves you! Follow him!
> x walls. x trash. take paper. x paper. read poem.
> bibblebake. in.
Asking Garry about the reactor is the trigger for the end of this scene.
> x garry. ask garry about poem. ask garry about garry.
> ask garry about light. ask garry about reactor.
You are again the lightbulb.
> x me. x power. turn on.
