Key & Compass presents:
A speedIF O entry
by David Welbourn

A speedIF O entry is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 6 and is © 2001 by David Welbourn. It was an entry in the Speed-IF O event.

In this one-room game, you play as a comic book fan at an astrology convention in Alaska who wants author Neil Gaiman to sign their Sandman comic book collection. One tiny problem: he's hungry.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 14 of the game.

As the game's author, I'd like to apologize for being snarky about Alaska in the introduction and for my numerous coding errors in this, my first IF game. Further, I want to mention that the corpse-in-the-chest-with-a-luncheon-on-top is a reference to the stageplay Rope and that the elderberry wine is a reference to the stageplay Arsenic and Old Lace. Finally, I have no idea what Neil Gaiman's food preferences are and I like his Sandman series very much.

Thank You to my Patreon supporters

This walkthrough is provided free of charge since I wrote this walkthrough prior to January 2015 when I began my Patreon account, and also because the work it's based on has less than fifteen locations (so I wouldn't have charged for it anyway). I've since reformatted this walkthrough to use my currently preferred style. I hope you enjoy it!

I'm still creating new walkthroughs! Larger ones too! Please visit my Patreon account if you're interested in helping me create more interactive fiction walkthroughs. I appreciate all the help I can get! Thanks again.
