mcp's 2002 summerMUDmeet photos

May 29, 2002: These photos were taken May 16 and 17 from the ifMUD gathering on the Outer Banks of NC. I took lots of photos ... mostly candids ... then picked out and cropped and Photoshopped the ones I liked. These pictures don't quite cover everyone who was there, I'm afraid. • Baby pictures: lpsmith and Sara's son Ellric, age about 1 1/2, drew lots of attention from me and Liza and other photographers. Who knew that a package of Food Lion paper towels could be so versatile? Not only can you push them along the carpet -- you can also lift them in the air!
  
  
• Pool pictures: Oren and I were taking pictures of various toys being thrown by Rob from the balcony ... into the pool, as Ellric and his dad checked out the hot tub and Spanky held court.
  
  
• Currituck Lighthouse: It was windy at the top. That's one of the reasons why this photo of Allen, Oren and Hjalfi came out looking a bit like a rock band publicity still. I also took a photo of the sound.

  (attempted arty photos:) The quality of the light inside the lighthouse was interesting too. Light crept in through windows in the ceiling and the walls and mixed with artificial light on the stairway. In general, the stairs, and the people climbing them, made good subjects. One can also sit, grip the handrails and look way down at the floor of the building.
