[peregaming] Bert says, "Log on."

[peregaming] GM says, "Excellent."

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Welcome to the 41rst Millenium, adventurers!"

[peregaming] Trask says, "(You might want to add the other players to the channel too?)"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "oh!"

[slingergame] Nathin asks, "So this setting is super grimdark?"

[slingergame] GM says, "By definition, yes."

Roger has arrived.

[slingergame] Nathin scowls.

[slingergame] Trask says, "Yes, just like that."

[peregaming] * GM has added Nathin to the channel.

[peregaming] * GM has added Lorayne to the channel.

[slingergame] GM says, "That"

[slingergame] GM says, "ilac"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "If one character does a melee attack on another, are they both now engaged in melee? Or just the attacker?"

[peregaming] GM says (to Trask), "The former. (Fights generally follow logic, unlike the universe.)"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "But please. No PvP!"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Good thing I watched two Riddick movies lately"

[peregaming] Nathin scowls. "I can't promise I won't betray my friends"

[peregaming] GM says, "Well, you're right, it is grimdark after all"

[peregaming] Lorayne slaps Nathin into submission.

[peregaming] GM says, "hehehe"

[peregaming] GM asks, "Shall I quickly get the exposition over with?"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "Grimdark AND kinky?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Also, our character sheets have little dagger footnotes next to them, but the footnotes don't seem to lead anywhere."

[peregaming] Trask says, "Specifically for Lore and Pilot skills."

[peregaming] GM says, "These are skill groups"

[peregaming] GM says, "So there's Lore (Imperium) but also Lore (Heresy), etc..."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Is the dagger just saying 'this only applies to your relevant subskills, not to the group as a whole'?"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "yep!"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Cool."

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "How do you regain Fate Points?"

[peregaming] GM says (to Nathin), "They regenerate at the end of each session."

[peregaming] Trask says, "I am up for some exposition."

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Excellent!"

GM says, "Recently, an Imperial scout vessel detected the Salvation Beacon of the Emperors Bounty in the Battleground, a blighted section of space in the Maw. The Maw is a dangerous warp passage that links the Calixis Sector to the mostly-uncharted Koronus Expanse,an area of space that lies beyond Imperial rule."

GM exclaims (at Nathin), "On behalf of Rogue Trader Sarvus Trask, you did some excruciatingly complicated paperwork, eventually receiving a Writ of Claim pertaining to the recovery and salvage of the Emperors Bounty. Under the conditions of the claim, the Rogue Trader himself must be the first to set foot upon the vessel, or forfeit his Writ!"

Nathin says, "Gotcha"

GM says, "Several days have gone by since the Sovereign Venture (Trask's big cruiser spaceship) set sail from Port Wander into the dark and treacherous Maw. In that time, your vessel has been buffeted and battered by the violent warp tides of the passage. The Sovereign Ventures Gellar Field -- the energy halo that protects all Imperial ships from the baleful entities of the warp -- has been tested to its very limits."

GM says, "Now, finally, your ship has arrived at the cursed place known as the Battleground, a forsaken stretch of space scattered with the debris of ancient warships. Somewhere here lies the long-forsaken Emperor's Bounty, awaiting its day."

GM says, "dun dun DUN"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "So Trask is the boss?"

GM asks, "Where are you guys? On the bridge, waiting for news, or in your private quarters, doing in-character stuff?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Yep."

Trask is leaning back in the captain's chair, with his feet propped up on a bulkhead. He's munching on a bowl of jellied rock beetles.

Lorayne is cleaning her gun nearby.

[Crows-Nest] Lorayne says, "A clean boltgun is a happy boltgun~"

Nathin is sitting in a corner of the bridge, reading up on the Emperor's bounty on his dataslate.

[peregaming] Trask asks, "I assume the bridge is also full of assorted minor officers, doing real work, possibly wearing red shirts?"

[peregaming] GM says (to Trask), "You read my mind"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "What do we know about the Bounty?"

[Crows-Nest] Nathin asks, "Was there a mutiny?"

Trask asks (of Grendel), "What do you see on sensors?"

[peregaming] GM asks, "Grendel?"

[peregaming] Trask | [peregaming] Trask asks, "I assume the bridge is also full of assorted minor officers, doing real work, possibly wearing red shirts?"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "oh!"

[peregaming] GM says, "gotcha"

Grendel says, "I have good news, my Lord. We have finally found the beacon!"

Trask asks, "Excellent! And the ship?"

Grendel says, "We're heading towards it, but it's proving to be challenging, my Lord."

Trask says, "Proceed with care, then. We've come this far; it would be foolish to take risks now that we're moments away from claiming our prize."

Grendel says, "Very well, my Lord."

Nathin saunters up to take a look at the viewscreen.

GM says (to Nathin), "you begin to make out a massive glittering cloud scattered across the void. As you get closer, you can faintly discern the blasted shells of vessels, desiccated and corroded by centuries of unprotected exposure to hard vacuum and solar radiation. The cloud moves like a sluggish whirlpool of junk, fragments smashing into each other and breaking into showers of debris and dust. You can just make out the weak flicker of a plasma drive as it leaks a feeble glow out into space near the centre of the chaotic mass of broken vessels and blackened hulks."

Nathin says, "There, Grendel. A plasma drive. Take us closer."

Grendel says, "I fear that might be dangerous."

Trask asks (of Grendel), "Can you tell if that drive belongs to the Emperor's Bounty?"

Grendel says, "I will check."

[Crows-Nest] Nathin asks, "Can *I* tell? Lore, maybe?"

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "Good point."

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "Normally, with the sensors and the beacon, there should be no ambiguity"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "The real problem is getting to it."

Grendel says, "It is indeed the Emperor's Bounty, my Lord. But the Void-Master has cautioned us to go no further lest we damage our own vessel."

Trask asks, "Can we disable the drive from here?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Assuming the radiation spewing from the drive is the problem."

[peregaming] Trask says, "If the problem is just the swirling debris, that's a different matter."

[peregaming] GM says, "It's the debris"

[Crows-Nest] Nathin asks, "Could we shuttle in?"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Do I have a smaller, more agile landing craft that could potentially slip past more easily?"

[peregaming] GM says, "The ship possesses guncutters, which can contain up to six people and are used as shuttles."

Trask says, "If there's too much debris for a ship the size of the Venture, then prepare Alicia -- that guncutter I like, with the blue flanges on the dorsal side."

Trask says, "I'll go in myself."

Grendel says, "Very well, my Lord."

Nathin secretly rolls his eyes away from everyone.

Nathin says (to trask), "I wish you the best of my luck, my lord. I can't wait for the artifacts you'll bring back."

Trask says, "Thornhallow, Tsanthos, I'd like you to come with me. I expect I may need your expertise."

Lorayne says, "Of course."

Nathin says, "Of course."

GM asks, "Anything else you guys want to do before boarding Alicia?"

Trask says (to Grendel), "Put together the rest of a landing team and have them meet me at Alicia. You'll have the bridge until I return."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I'll get my stuff."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Is there any kind of special equipment that it would make sense to bring, aside from our personal gear?"

Grendel says, "I shall do so at once. May the Emperor watch over you, my Lord."

[peregaming] GM says, "Not especially."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Is there anything we can do that will reduce the difficulty of navigating the debris? Like building a detailed sensor map?"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "So it's us and 3 redshirts?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Yep, if you choose to bring them."

[peregaming] GM says, "They are by no means pilots or expert marksmen, but will gladly sacrifice their lives for you."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I was thinking of maybe loading a second guncutter with more troops. Depends on how big the Bounty is."

[peregaming] GM says, "Well, a salvage operation isn't a looting operation. You'll be wanting to get the Bounty out of the Battleground."

[peregaming] GM says, "So that it can be repaired, etc..."

[peregaming] GM says, "Boarding it is an essential step of that."

[peregaming] GM says (to Nathin), "You can load a second guncutter, but it won't have someone who's as good a pilot as Trask."

[peregaming] GM says, "So yeah, you can try."

Trask says (to Lorayne, Nathin), "So I'm thinking our primary objectives are: get to the Bounty, board it, assess the damage, and determine whether or not we can perform sufficient field repairs to pilot it out of the debris field."

Lorayne nods.

Trask says, "And if those repairs are impractical, then we can decide how to proceed from there when the time comes."

Trask asks, "Any other suggestions?"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Is any of us good at repairs?"

[Crows-Nest] Lorayne says, "And if those repairs are impractical, we loot it and blow it to the moon."

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "Haha."

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "What do we know about the ship? Anything at all?"

[peregaming] GM says (to Nathin), "Barely anything. It was coming back from the Expanse"

[Crows-Nest] Nathin says, "Shit. Protomolecule."

[peregaming] GM says, "Its captain, Janrak Spargan, was known for dabbling in xenotech."

[peregaming] GM says, "He would seek out new worlds and steal their technology."

[peregaming] GM says, "Well, not steal, more 'claim in the name of the Emperor'"

[peregaming] GM says, "This of course was somewhat dangerous."

Nathin says, "There might be dangerous Xenotech on board, my lord."

[Crows-Nest] Trask asks, "Was Janrak Spargan played by Johnny Depp?"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "Probably."

Trask says, "I think you mean *valuable* Xenotech."

Trask asks (of Nathin), "Are you prepared to handle that?"

Nathin says, "Of course, my lord."

Nathin says, "*"

[Crows-Nest] Nathin says, "* is totally not prepared"

Trask says, "Good, good."

[peregaming] Trask says, "So it sounds like we're just bringing the one guncutter, since we don't trust the mooks not to blow up the second one."

[peregaming] Trask says, "And we'll have the best sensor data loaded into the nav system as we can manage, whether that'll do us any good or not."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "If we take two, we may have more chance of throwing mooks at the dangerous xenotech."

[peregaming] Trask says, "And we'll have whatever equipment we, in our expertise as experienced rogue trader officers, deem appropriate."

[peregaming] Trask says (to Nathin), "If you want to suggest that IC, I won't override you."

Nathin says, "My lord, may I humbly suggest bringing a second guncutter? That valuable xenotech ... might need some persuasion. And such ... persuasion ... would be below you."

[peregaming] GM says (to Trask), "OK! Since you have chosen to bring the best sensor data, let's say that gives you a +10 to the Pilot (Spacecraft) roll. We'll say that you have a continuous feed from the ship."

Trask nods. "Very well, if you think that will help. Make it so."

Nathin makes it so.

Lorayne smirks, but says nothing.

[peregaming] Trask says, "Woo."

[peregaming] Trask says, "<CUT TO: INTERIOR, ALICIA>"

GM exclaims (at Trask), "Roll 1d100!"

Trask says (to Guncutter 2), "We're heading out -- follow our lead."

Trask rolls 1 100-sided die: 18 | 18

[peregaming] Trask asks, "So that's trying to roll under 48, for three degrees of success?"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Yes!"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Is that enough success to make sure that the mooks following us make it through as well?"

GM says (to Trask), "You expertly dodge all the flying bits of spaceship, do barrel rolls, zig-zag, and are generally awesome."

[peregaming] GM says, "They get a +10 to their roll (their base Agility being 20)"

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 65 | 65

[peregaming] Trask says, "Whoops."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Oof."

Trask does all this with his right hand, while finishing the last of the jellied rock beetles with his left.

GM says, "The second guncutter is rather badly battered, despite trying its best to keep up with Trask's acrobatic maneuvers."

Nathin holds on to his seat. He hates this part.

GM says, "The second guncutter probably won't be able to make it back on the return trip."

GM says, "So you'd better get the Bounty running, or those mooks are just going to have to suck it."

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "On the plus side, we probably won't have nearly as many passengers for the return trip."

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "hehehe."

[Crows-Nest] Nathin asks, "You can't suck a vacuum, can you?"

Trask looks for a good place to dock.

GM says (to Trask), "Up close, the Emperors Bounty is in bad shape indeed. There is, however, a shadow of light spilling from the vista dome of the bridge, indicating that the vessels plasma reactors have not gone completely cold."

Trask says, "Good. She's still alive. Although maybe just barely."

GM says (to Trask), "You find a place to dock, although this is far from easy and takes some time."

GM says (to Trask), "The sensors indicate there is oxygen inside the ship."

GM says, "But you can take your void-breathers/void-suits along, if you like."

GM says, "Also, Trask, you need to be first aboard, for legal reasons."

Trask says, "There's air in there -- but I suggest suiting up anyway just in case. There's no guarantee how long it'll last."

Nathin says, "Better be careful"

Nathin says, "A small step for you, my lord, but a huge leap for the Empire"

Trask says, "I'll head out first, then after I've recorded my official arrival, you three should come next and fan out. T and T, come along behind once we know it's safe."

Redshirt says, "Very well, my Lord."

Trask docks, suits up, and then boards the Bounty.

[Crows-Nest] Trask asks (of Lorayne, Nathin), "I'm not being too annoying with all the giving of orders, amd I?"

GM says (to Trask), "You step aboard. It's dark and gloomy in this service corridor, and there are no signs of life."

[Crows-Nest] Lorayne says, "Nah"

[Crows-Nest] Nathin says, "No, my lord"

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "Hee."

Nathin signs the Writ as soon as Trask is on-board.

Trask takes a selfie. For purely legal purposes.

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "haha"

[Crows-Nest] Lorayne says, "Aw"

Trask turns on a lamp.

Nathin says, "Very fetching, my lord"

GM says (to Trask), "You turn on an electric torch. There's writing on the wall: BRIDGE THIS WAY."

GM says, "With an appropriate arrow."

Trask says (to Team), "Alright. We've done the formalities. And we've got a signpost. Let's follow it and see what kind of shape she's in."

Nathin noted down interesting things about the ship on his dataslate.

Lorayne follows behind Trask, gun at the ready.

GM says (to Trask&friends), "You soon find some corpses as you head closer to the bridge."

GM says, "These all have red shirts."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Does it look like a crew member?"

Trask asks (of Lorayne), "What happened here?"

[peregaming] GM says, "They all look like basic maintenance ship crew members."

GM says, "Some of them look like they have been shot. Others seem to have suffocated."

GM says, "They all look badly decayed."

GM asks, "Do you continue to the bridge?"

Lorayne steps over the bodies.

Trask says, "Combat? We should be prepared in case whoever did this is still here."

Trask draws his sword and pistol.

Lorayne nods quietly.

Nathin keeps his gun holsted and continues taking notes.

Trask continues to lead the way to the bridge.

GM says, "Stepping over the fallen corpses of the ships crew, you ascend to the command plinth and the foot of the Lord-Captain Janrak Spargen s throne."

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "Correction: Sarvus Trask's spare throne."

GM says, "At the base of the throne lies what must be the remains of the captain himself, broken and contorted."

[Crows-Nest] Lorayne says, "haha"

Lorayne swears and inspects the body.

[Crows-Nest] Roger says, "another casualty of the Great Twerking Plague"

GM says, "The throne itself lies in shadow."

Nathin checks out the throne.

Trask shines his torch up at it.

GM exclaims (at Trask), "That's when you see that... the throne is not empty!"

[peregaming] Trask says, "I think I'm imagining this torch as maybe being shoulder mounted, and built into the environment suit."

Nathin exclaims, "My god(s)!"

[Crows-Nest] Nathin says, "sorry, don't know enough about the setting yet"

GM says, "There's what appears to be another dead body, seated in the throne, with something sticking out of its forehead. It's a man wearing what appear to be standard Navigator robes."

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "I'm still half expecting it to be a cuddly puppy up there."

[Crows-Nest] Roger says, "there is one God and His name is The Emperor"

[Crows-Nest] GM says (to Nathin), "yeah, 'by the Emperor' is more like it"

[Setting the zoned flag.]

[Crows-Nest] Roger says, "oh no space unicorns"

Nathin asks, "What's that in his head?"

Trask climbs the steps to the plinth. With the flat edge of his sword, he turns the navigator's head to get a better view at what's sticking out of it.

GM says (to Trask), "It's a strange metallic worm-like device attached to his forehead where his third eye would be (Navigators have third eyes which they use to see their way in the Warp)"

GM says (to Trask), "And as you look at it..."

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "Lore?"

GM exclaims (at Trask), "... it wiggles!"

[Crows-Nest] Roger says, "if you find any creepy space eggs and they start opening, be sure to bend over and get your whole face in there for a good look"

[peregaming] GM says (to Nathin), "Lore (Legend) perhaps"

Trask backs back down the steps, not taking his eyes off of it. "Tsanthos, what do you make of that thing?"

[peregaming] GM says, "But at -10 because it's not easy."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I'm skilled, which means ...? (+10?)"

[peregaming] Trask says, "I think Skilled just means no penalty."

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Correct!"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "So I just roll INT?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "(Basic means you can use the skill, but with a penalty. If you don't even have Basic, you can't use it at all.)"

[peregaming] GM says, "Yup, with a -10 penalty"

Nathin rolls 1 100 -sided die: 47 | 47 - 10 = 37

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "My INT is 48, so I barely made it, I think?"

GM says (to Nathin), "With -10, you just barely succeed."

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "A success is a success!"

[peregaming] Nathin exclaims, "Squee!"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Wait, I'm not sure I did this right"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "The -10 should be subtracted from my INT, not the roll...?"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Did you roll a straight 1d100?"

[peregaming] Trask says (to Nathin), "Oh! Ha ha."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I rolled 1d100 -10"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Aw."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "So I need to reroll, of course. *shifty eyes*"

[peregaming] GM says, "Yeah, technically you failed the roll if you take into account the fact you substracted 10"

[peregaming] GM says, "But I'll let you reroll"

Nathin rolls 1 100-sided die: 76 | 76

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Thanks, but aw :-("

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "It's not a critical failure!"

[peregaming] GM says, "And this is very exotic tech anyway."

Nathin is kind of rusty on worm-like metal xenotech.

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "Only because our simplified beginner rules don't cover crits!"

GM exclaims (at Nathin), "As you puzzle over this, something happens!"

GM exclaims, "The Navigators head snaps up, and he looks down upon you with empty dead eyes!"

Lorayne says, "Oh shit."

Nathin exclaims, "By the Emperor!"

Lorayne readies her gun.

Trask exclaims (at Navigator), "Identify yourself!"

GM exclaims, "The Navigator drools and gibbers! His fists crackle with heretical energy!"

GM exclaims, "And suddenly, six of the corpses littered about you (including the former Captain) rise from the dead!"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Given that it sounds like combat may be immanent, is there anything we shoul know about the layout of this room?"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Y'know, for tactical purposes?"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Since we're about to roll init, keep in mind that the party can use my +4 INT instead of your (+3s) Ag, since I'm awesome. (If I understand this correctly)"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "A map would be nice"

[peregaming] GM exclaims (at Lorayne), "woo!"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Excellent."

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "Oh, dang, I just realized I could have helped Nathin succeed on his Lore role!"

[peregaming] Trask says, "I totally forgot to use my Commanding Presence to inspire him."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Guess you weren't really ... present."

[peregaming] GM says (to Nathin), "There is no map! However, the corpses are not very fast and will take a bit of time to get into melee range. They're surrounding you, and the dead Navigator is on the throne."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Are the zombies all clumped together in one group, or...?"

[peregaming] GM says, "They're scattered."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "And is there other stuff on the bridge that might make for good cover?"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I suggest I focus on the walkers, since I have the smallest gun, I think"

Trask says, "Take cover! Use your guns until they get close enough for melee. Tsanthos, go for the walkers. Thornhallow, aim for the Navigator. The rest of you, take targets of opportunity as they arise."

[peregaming] GM says, "There's not much cover here. There are large air vents, and two exits from the bridge."

Lorayne says, "Roger that."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "No consoles for other bridge officers?"

[peregaming] GM says, "There are consoles, but you'd have to get past the zombies first."

GM rolls 1 10-sided die: 7 | 7

GM rolls 1 10-sided die: 3 | 3

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Init?"

Trask rolls 1 10-sided die: 7 | 7 + 4 = 11

Lorayne rolls 1 10 -sided die: 10 | 10 + 6 = 16

Trask clears the initiative.

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "(I have an extra +2 to init)"

Nathin rolls 1 10-sided die: 5 | 5 + 4 = 9

Lorayne registers Lorayne at init 16.

[peregaming] Trask says, "(This is why we gave you the best gun.)"

Trask registers Trask at init 11.

Nathin registers Nathin at init 9.

GM registers Puppets = at init 8.

GM registers Navigator = at init 7.

GM displays the initiative: Lorayne(16) Trask(11) Nathin(9) Puppets =(8) Navigator =(7)

[peregaming] Trask says, "There's also the doorway we came in by."

[peregaming] GM says, "Yep, that's one of them."

[peregaming] Trask says, "That should provide some cover, if someone were to stand on the other side, and peer around it."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Ok, so, I'd like to use my full action to do a semi-auto burst? (I'm standing near that doorway, b/c I was hanging back to stay within shooting range if things came up.)"

GM advances the initiative: LORAYNE(16) Trask(11) Nathin(9) Puppets =(8) Navigator =(7)

[peregaming] GM exclaims (at Lorayne), "OK!"

[peregaming] GM says, "That gives you a bonus to your BS roll."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Yup. So I need to hit under a 45+10=55"

[peregaming] GM says, "Correct."

Lorayne rolls 1 100-sided die: 21 | 21

[Crows-Nest] Trask asks, "Also, can I just comment on how weird it is thtat, out of the two attacking skills, the one that you would use for *unarmed* combat is 'Weapons'?"

[peregaming] GM says (to Trask), "It's also what you'd use for knife fighting."

[peregaming] GM says, "But, yeah, weird."

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "So Lorayne got 3 degrees of success!"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Which gives me one extra hit."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Damage is.. ? 1d10 + 7, and I roll twice and choose the highest, because tearing"

[peregaming] Lorayne asks, "Ja?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Correct :-)"

Lorayne rolls 1 10-sided die: 4 | 4 + 7 = 11

Lorayne rolls 1 10-sided die: 2 | 2 + 7 = 9

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "so an 11 for the first hit"

Lorayne rolls 1 10-sided die: 1 | 1 + 7 = 8

Lorayne rolls 1 10-sided die: 4 | 4 + 7 = 11

GM asks, "Woo! Are these both aimed at the zombies or the Navigator?"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Going for the navigator, with both."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "I keep typing peregraming, heh."

[peregaming] Trask says, "Hee, I did that too."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Because pere tries to autocomplete to your personal channel"

[peregaming] Nathin exclaims, "Me three!"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "I don't know how damage works withou reaidng it again, but my penetration is 4."

GM says (to Lorayne), "You fire volleys of explosive bolt shells at the undead Navigator..."

GM asks, "But! What is this heresy?"

GM exclaims, "A shimmering, crimson shield around the Navigator is absorbing all your shots!"

Lorayne swears loudly.

[Crows-Nest] Nathin says, "In Tiefling, I keep assuming."

[Crows-Nest] Lorayne says, "hehe"

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "'@addalias pgaming=peregaming'"

[Crows-Nest] Lorayne says, "Good call."

[peregaming] GM says, "You can roll Lore as a free action, btw."

[Crows-Nest] Nathin says, "This game is PG? LAME"

[Crows-Nest] Lorayne says, "What is tactica imperailis for? (I have that, imperium and war, which seem not useful here)"

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "'@addalias pgame=peregaming'"

[Crows-Nest] Lorayne says, "*imperialis"

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "'@addalias pgam=peregaming'"

[peregaming] * Matthew has joined the channel.

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Only, pretend I said that here."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "How's your penetration?"

[Crows-Nest] GM says (to Lorayne), "Tactica covers everything you'd need to know to organize troops, perform military maneuvers, etc..."

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "Whoops, I meant to type those things, not say them -- sorry."

[Crows-Nest] Lorayne says, "Ah."

[Crows-Nest] GM asks, "Anyway, shall I move the init on?"

GM advances the initiative: Lorayne(16) TRASK(11) Nathin(9) Puppets =(8) Navigator =(7)

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Wait!"

Lorayne says, to anyone who will listen, "Did you fucking see that?"

[peregaming] Lorayne waits.

[peregaming] GM asks, "Lorayne, did you want to use Tactica to see if this shield is something that has been used by the Imperial forces?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Because that is perfectly feasible."

[peregaming] GM says, "If you want to roll it..."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Sure"

Lorayne rolls 1 100-sided die: 55 | 55

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "That's too high"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Int is 43"

[peregaming] GM says, "You can spend a fate point, if you like."

[peregaming] GM says, "For a reroll."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Yeah, ok. That seems like useful info."

Lorayne sets her current fate point total to 3.

Lorayne spends a fate point, leaving her with 2.

Lorayne rolls 1 100-sided die: 69 | 69

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Christ."

Trask sets his current fate point total to 3.

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "I know nothing."

GM says (to Lorayne), "You have no idea what this shield thing is, but it annoys the hell out of you."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Lorayne Snow"

GM exclaims (at Trask), "It's now your turn!"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Is there a zombie who's a bit aways from the others? Say, one that I could melee attack without interfering with Lorayne and Nathin shooting at the other ones?"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "And also, is there such a zombie within 9m of me?"

[peregaming] GM exclaims (at Trask), "As a matter of fact, there is the former Captain Janrak Spargen!"

Trask says, "Sorry, Janrak. This is my ship now."

Trask charges!

[peregaming] Trask says, "Which I believe lets me melee attack at +10."

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Yep!"

[Crows-Nest] (from Nathin) Trask rages!

Trask rolls 1 100-sided die: 50 | 50

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Normally against 44, but with the charge, 54, so that's a success?"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Indeed!"

Trask rolls 1 10-sided die: 9 | 9 + 8 = 17

[peregaming] Trask says, "And that's with 6 penetration."

GM exclaims (at Trask), "You literally dismember the captain, who falls down in a heap of body parts!"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Woo!"

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "One down, a bunch to go!"

GM advances the initiative: Lorayne(16) Trask(11) NATHIN(9) Puppets =(8) Navigator =(7)

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I'd like to take an half-action to aim, giving me usually +10, but thanks to my weapon, +20"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Since I forgot to use my Commanding Presence for Lorayne, I'll offer it to Nathin."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I'll take it! so +30 all in all"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Excellent!"

[peregaming] GM says, "Roll it."

Nathin rolls 1 100-sided die: 30 | 30

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "That is literally the best result ever!"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "Because it's basically a 1? So I get righteous Fury?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Hmm, is it though? I thought that was for natural 1's."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I don't know! I'm asking you."

[peregaming] GM asks, "I'll rule that it's not a 1 but it's still pretty good; how many degrees of success?"

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "If you're playing a version of this where everyone is an anthropomorphic animal, that feature has a slightly different name."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "If I reas this correctly, thanks to the +30, my BS is 69"

[Crows-Nest] Lorayne asks, "You mean we're not?"

[peregaming] GM says, "So 3 degrees of success."

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Roll damage!"

[Crows-Nest] Lorayne takes off the fox ears and tail.

Nathin rolls 1 0-sided die: 1 | 1 + 5 = 6

[Crows-Nest] (from Trask) Tusk asks, "Perhaps?"

Nathin rolls 1 10-sided die: 2 | 2 + 5 = 7

Nathin says, "With a Penetration of 7"

GM asks (of Nathin), "Aiming at zombies?"

Nathin exclaims, "Yes!"

GM says, "If so, that's one dead zombie."

GM exclaims, "It explodes!"

[Crows-Nest] Trask says (to Nathin), "I see that adding a 1 to the size of the die you were rolling also added 1 to the result."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "What do the degrees of success do in combat? I'm confused"

GM says, "There are four zombies left."

[peregaming] GM says, "Depends on the weapon's special features."

[peregaming] Trask says, "If you're using semi- or full-auto fire, you can get multiple hits."

[peregaming] Trask says, "Otherwise, I don't know."

[peregaming] GM says, "As Trask said."

[peregaming] GM says, "If not applicable, no need to worry."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Ah, so for single fire, it's useless. Gotcha."

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "And now there are four zombies left!"

GM advances the initiative: Lorayne(16) Trask(11) Nathin(9) PUPPETS =(8) Navigator =(7)

GM exclaims, "Two zombies who saw their former Captain fall felt a flicker of loyalty, and attack Trask!"

GM says, "One stabs Trask with some piece of jagged debris:"

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 97 | 97

Lorayne says, "Watch out!"

[peregaming] Trask says, "I'm guessing that's not a hit."

GM says, "Luckily, because it's been dead a while and thus is somewhat clumsy, it falls and its head becomes impaled on Trask's sword."

GM exclaims, "The other zombie aims a laspistol at Trask!"

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 30 | 30

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Do I get to know whether or not an attack would hit before I decide whether or not to parry it?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Because I expect I might want to parry this one."

[peregaming] GM says, "It's a reaction."

GM exclaims, "The zombie, however, is no marksman and misses!"

[peregaming] GM says, "OOC: its BS was absurdly low."

GM says, "Wait..."

GM says, "I misread the notes"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Bs and penetration are not good names for gaming terms, or maybe I need to grow up"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Yeah, I just wasn't sure at what point I was supposed to call for it -- after you announce the attack but before rolling BS, after you roll BS but before you announce if it hit, after you announce the hit but before rolling damage, etc."

GM says, "The zombie actually went on full automatic and thus actually hits! But just barely."

Trask parries!

Trask rolls 1 100-sided die: 44 | 44

GM exclaims (at Trask), "You can only dodge!"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Why's that?"

GM says, "You cannot parry a volley of laser bolts."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Parry is for Melee"

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "Oh!"

[peregaming] Nathin exclaims, "You're not Luke Skywalker!"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Right, sorry, I missed that 'full automatic' == 'ranged attack'."

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "I dodge, then!"

[peregaming] Trask says, "And fail at dodging."

GM exclaims (at Trask), "You are hit!"

GM says, "No penetration, however."

[Crows-Nest] Nathin exclaims, "Finally *I* can be Lord!"

GM rolls 1 10-sided die: 1 | 1 + 3 = 4

[peregaming] Trask says, "I have toughness 31 and armor 6."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Which I think means I take 4 - 9 damage?"

[peregaming] GM says, "You take no damage. The armor soaked it up."

Trask shrugs off the blasts. His breastplate is barely warmed by it.

GM exclaims, "The third zombie attacks Lorayne!"

GM exclaims, "By trying to stab her!"

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 52 | 52

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "(I have no idea what my armor actually looks like. But I assume there's some sort of piece in front of my chest.)"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "Correct."

GM exclaims, "And it misses!"

Lorayne pffts at the zombie.

GM says, "The fourth zombie attacks our scholarly Tsanthos! Again, by stabbing him with debris:"

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 47 | 47

GM exclaims, "It also misses!"

[peregaming] GM says, "man these zombies have BS stats"

Nathin exclaims, "Phew!"

GM advances the initiative: Lorayne(16) Trask(11) Nathin(9) Puppets =(8) NAVIGATOR =(7)

GM exclaims, "The undead Navigator leaps down from the throne, the worm writhing in his forehead!"

GM exclaims, "He charges straight at Lorayne, who had been trying to shoot him!"

GM exclaims, "His fists crackle with energy!"

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 41 | 41

GM exclaims, "2 degrees of success!"

GM rolls 2 10-sided dice: 7 3 | 10 + 4 = 14

[peregaming] Lorayne asks, "Can I dodge?"

[peregaming] Lorayne asks, "Or not for charing?"

[peregaming] GM says, "You can try."

Lorayne rolls 1 100-sided die: 6 | 6

[peregaming] GM says, "If you can do better than 2 degrees of success - oh."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Yeah, that's under a 43 agility"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Hee."

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "You did more degrees of success than the attack, so you dodge!"

GM exclaims, "The Navigator's blows land on thin air!"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Yay."

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "Are are Competent!"

GM exclaims, "The worm wriggles and makes weird noises. And suddenly, six more zombies rise from the dead and start heading towards you guys, looking like they mean business!"

GM says, "So now you have a total of 10 zombies to deal with."

Lorayne grrr.

Nathin says, "This might get ... complicated"

GM says, "Now for the redshirts, who fire their revolvers:"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "Will my tech skill get me anything with the Cap's shielding?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Do our mooks get to -- timing"

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 70 | 70

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 28 | 28

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 7 | 7

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 3 | 3

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 90 | 90

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 24 | 24

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 86 | 86

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 99 | 99

[peregaming] Trask says, "I can see several possibilities:"

GM says, "So out of the nine mooks, only three manage to hit zombies, and they manage to take down three zombies, leaving you with 7 left."

[peregaming] Trask says, "One, that shiled might only work against guns, but not melee."

[peregaming] Trask says, "(Go, mooks!)"

GM says, "Two of them shoot terribly. So terribly, in fact, that they accidentally shoot at you guys."

[peregaming] Trask says, "(No, mooks!)"

Lorayne says, "Be careful, you fucking morons!"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "So hard to get good personell in the 41st century"

GM rolls 1 10-sided die: 9 | 9 + 3 = 12

GM rolls 1 10-sided die: 8 | 8 + 3 = 11

[peregaming] Trask says, "Two, the shield is basically just good armor, and sufficient penetration will get through it."

[peregaming] Trask says, "Or three, we need to figure out how to disable the shield before we can hurt him."

GM says (to Trask), "You get hit, as does Nathin (but Nathin can try to dodge)"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Wonder if we can yank out the wormy thing. That's totally a technical term."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Good idea -- you're already in melee range; do you want to try it?"

Nathin rolls 1 100-sided die: 70 | 70

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Sure."

GM says (to Nathin), "Nope."

Nathin says, "Alas"

GM says, "So this damage has zero penetration (because they're just regular bullets)"

GM says, "12 for Trask and 11 for Nathin."

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "Why did you roll 10 sided dies?"

[peregaming] GM says, "That's the damage."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "oh"

[peregaming] GM says, "From the two mooks who rolled critical failures and shot you"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "I have 4 armor, so that's 7 damage?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Don't forget to subtract your TB"

[peregaming] GM says, "Toughness Bonus"

[peregaming] GM says, "ie the first digit of your Toughness stat"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Another 3, so 4 damage"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Yup!"

[peregaming] GM asks, "Also, Trask, are you okay with the damage inflicted on you? Not dead yet?"

Nathin exclaims, "Argh!"

GM advances the initiative: END OF ROUND

GM advances the initiative: LORAYNE(16) Trask(11) Nathin(9) Puppets =(8) Navigator =(7)

Nathin exclaims, "You morons!"

Trask exclaims, "Jamesin, Pele -- watch where you're shooting at!"

[peregaming] Lorayne asks, "So I'm serious about wanting to attack the worm. Standard attack in melee?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Yup."

Lorayne rolls 1 100-sided die: 75 | 75

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Oooooh. No."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "WS is 35"

[peregaming] Nathin exclaims, "Holy!"

[peregaming] GM asks, "Wanna risk a Fate point?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Oof."

[peregaming] Trask says, "That's a pretty low number to try to hit."

[peregaming] Trask says, "But if you want to, I'll offer my COmmanding Presence."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "That is wise"

[peregaming] GM says, "She can reroll with a +10 from Trask, yeah"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "I do, actually. One sec. Because she believes this worm is the cause of the shield."

Lorayne spends a fate point, leaving her with 1.

Lorayne rolls 1 100-sided die: 36 | 36

[peregaming] GM says, "The Emperor protects."

Trask exclaims, "Keep your eyes on your target, Thornhallow!"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "So I have a 45 with CP, and rolled a 36."

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "Go teamwork!"

[peregaming] Nathin exclaims, "Go Lorayne!"

[peregaming] Lorayne asks, "Damage is my strength tens-unit? 1d10+3?"

GM says (to Lorayne), "The shield slows down your blow as you try to strike at the Worm. During that time, you feel a tingle due to what you recognize as the Gellar field flickering in and out."

GM says, "You briefly make contact with it, and pull your hand away."

Lorayne asks, "Whoa. What the hell?!?"

Trask asks, "What is it? What did you feel?"

GM says (to Lorayne), "You're fairly certain that the shield briefly gave way when the Gellar field flickered on, and then became stronger when it was off."

Lorayne doesn't respond to Trask, because she's contemplating how fucked we are.

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "The gellar field is something the ship has, right?"

GM says, "(People who spend a lot of time on these ships know what it feels like when the Gellar field is on, as opposed to it being switched off.)"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "So the ship's Gellar field cancelled out the worm's on shield?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Yeah, and obviously, although I think I didn't mention it, you have the feeling that it's not on all the time"

[peregaming] Trask says, "(Or possibly vice versa, I guess.)"

[peregaming] GM says (to Trask), "The former, yeah, or so it seems."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "If we reach a console, we could maybe switch it off for longer (which is risky, because it protects us from the Void?)"

[peregaming] Trask says, "So if we could fix the ship's field, we could presumably attack the Navigator normally."

Lorayne says, "Ok, so if we can turn on the Gellar field and keep it on, we have a chance. But that thing become stronger when it's turned off."

[peregaming] GM says (to Nathin), "You misunderstood me"

[peregaming] GM says, "You need to turn on the field to weaken the shield"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I did"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Lorayne is correct!"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "The consoles are behind the zombies, right?"

Trask asks, "Nathin, if I clear you a path to that console, do you think you can get the field back up?"

Nathin says, "Yes, my lord"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Oh, and Lorayne still has another half action too, right?"

[peregaming] GM asks, "She does, I believe?"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Hm."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "I can move up to 4M? Away from this guy before he attacks me again."

[peregaming] GM says, "You can definitely disengage from the undead dude, yeah"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Is there somewhere I'm out of melee, so I can go back to shooting things? :)"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Like away from other zombies"

[peregaming] GM says (to Lorayne), "You could also order some mooks to form a circle to keep the zombies out of melee range."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Oh, hey. Sure."

[peregaming] GM says, "While you shoot over their heads."

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Roleplay it as you please!"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Especially Jamesin and Pele."

Lorayne moves away from creepy navigator dude, while shouting at the mooks to do exactly that. (Are those the two that shot at us? Yes, please go be useful and dont' shoot us.)

GM advances the initiative: Lorayne(16) TRASK(11) Nathin(9) Puppets =(8) Navigator =(7)

[peregaming] Trask says, "My goal is to take some zombies out of Nathin's path."

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Woo!"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Are there any such zombies presently in melee range of me?"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Or do I need to move to reach one?"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "There's two of them, helping each other shamble over towards you with evil intentions!"

Trask rolls 1 100-sided die: 72 | 72

Trask slashes with his sword!

[peregaming] Trask says, "That one's a miss, but I'll take a second attack."

Trask rolls 1 100-sided die: 14 | 14

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Yes!"

[peregaming] Nathin exclaims, "Go Trask!"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "And that one's an excellent hit -- do I need damage?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Yep, you do."

Trask rolls 1 10-sided die: 2 | 2 + 8 = 10

[peregaming] Trask says, "With 6 pen."

GM exclaims (at Trask), "You hack one of the zombies to pieces, and inflict 3 damage on the other one, who is now barely holding himself together!"

Trask advances the initiative: Lorayne(16) Trask(11) NATHIN(9) Puppets =(8) Navigator =(7)

Nathin takes aim again to try and shoot the other one.

Nathin rolls 1 100-sided die: 89 | 89

Nathin says, "alas, a miss"

GM says, "Well, the shot merely hit an already-dead zombie (the one that Trask just hacked)"

GM advances the initiative: Lorayne(16) Trask(11) Nathin(9) PUPPETS =(8) Navigator =(7)

GM exclaims, "There are now six zombies left!"

Nathin exclaims, "I thought it still moved!"

[peregaming] Trask exclaims (at Nathin), "On the plus side, it'll be much less likely to get up the next tme the worm wiggles!"

GM exclaims, "One attacks Trask!"

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 2 | 2

[peregaming] Trask asks, "I assume this is melee, from the one next to me?"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Indeed!"

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "Then I parry!"

Trask rolls 1 100-sided die: 91 | 91

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Terribly!"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Oh, sheesh."

[peregaming] Trask says, "That is, you might guess, a failure."

GM rolls 1 5-sided die: 4 | 4 + 6 = 10

Trask slips on a bit of intestine from the last zombie he just chopped up.

[peregaming] GM asks, "Doth this hurt thee, my Lord?"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "No pen, right?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Nope."

[peregaming] Trask says, "One wound."

[peregaming] GM says, "Wait..."

[peregaming] GM says, "Actually, it's Pen 2, sorry"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Three wounds, then."

[peregaming] Trask says, "Up to six wounds out of twelve."

[peregaming] Trask says, "I guess if I get hit again, I should use a fate point."

[peregaming] GM asks, "Have you sustained critical damage?"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "What?"

[peregaming] GM says, "ie exceeded your number of wounds"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Oh. No."

[peregaming] Trask says, "Six out of twelve so far."

[peregaming] GM says, "you're okay. for now."

GM says, "Two zombies attack the mooks surrounding Lorayne..."

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 59 | 59

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 27 | 27

GM says, "One of them manages to kill poor Pele, who dies heroically! Albeit with lots of blood."

GM exclaims, "Two zombies attack Nathin!"

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 13 | 13

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 91 | 91

Nathin asks, "I assume I need to doge just once?"

GM says, "The first one manages to stab Nathin. The second's head just rolls off his shoulders as he runs towards Nathin."

GM says (to Nathin), "yep"

Nathin rolls 1 100-sided die: 76 | 76

Nathin says, "Nope"

GM rolls 1 5-sided die: 5 | 5 + 6 = 11

GM exclaims, "Pen 2!"

GM says, "(he stabbed at thee)"

Nathin says, "Ouch"

GM asks (of Nathin), "Are you still alive?"

Nathin says, "barely"

Nathin says, "I'm at 10 wounds out of 12"

Lorayne says, "Hang on, Nathin!"

GM advances the initiative: Lorayne(16) Trask(11) Nathin(9) Puppets =(8) NAVIGATOR =(7)

[peregaming] Trask says (to Nathin), "You can spend a fate die to recover wounds."

[peregaming] Trask says, "1d5 of them, and it's apparently an instant thing, not an action."

[peregaming] GM says, "Indeed."

[peregaming] Nathin says (to gm), "I want to do that thing Trask just said"

[peregaming] Trask says, "(Er, fate point.)"

Nathin rolls 1 5-sided die: 5 | 5

[peregaming] GM exclaims (at Nathin), "Do it! Do it now!"

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "Woo!"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "The Emperor protects Nathin!"

Nathin says, "'tis but a scratch"

GM says, "The Navigator charges at Lorayne again, but there are mooks in the way (so he has a -20 penalty)"

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 43 | 43

GM exclaims, "He just barely succeeds, throwing mooks to one side and bringing down his energized fists on Lorayne!"

Lorayne attempts to dodge?

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "roll it!"

Lorayne rolls 1 100-sided die: 85 | 85

[peregaming] GM says, "nope"

GM rolls 2 10-sided dice: 10 8 | 18 + 4 = 22

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Do we suck at dodging or what"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Holy shit."

GM says, "Fortunately, his fists have no Penetration, so you just subtract your Toughness bonus + your armor"

GM says, "To get the overall damage."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "22-9=13.. out of 15 possible."

[peregaming] Trask says, "Please have a high toughness + armor."

[peregaming] Trask asks (of Lorayne), "Is this your first damage?"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Yeah"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Phew."

[peregaming] Trask says, "This might be a good time to spend your last fate point."

[peregaming] Lorayne asks, "Can I do that now, or on my turn?"

[peregaming] GM says (to Lorayne), "It's okay, you have 2 wounds left, and then after that there's up to 15 Critical Damage you can take"

[peregaming] GM says, "So you can soak up up to 17 more damage before you die."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Oh! Pffft. I'm fine."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Oh, really?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Yes."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "huh"

[peregaming] GM says, "The difference is that Critical Damage lasts longer."

[peregaming] GM says, "So you'd need weeks of medical care to get rid of it."

[peregaming] GM says, "Also, there are extra rules which are not relevant for this present adventure."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "I wonder if doing first aid on yourself might be a good idea?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "When your turn comes around."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Yeah."

[peregaming] GM says, "You're not bleeding out, so it's okay."

[peregaming] GM says, "Trust me, helping the others will be crucial."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "In the meantime, how are we in init?"

GM exclaims, "The Navigator raises two more zombies from the dead, making up a total of 8!"

GM advances the initiative: END OF ROUND

GM advances the initiative: LORAYNE(16) Trask(11) Nathin(9) Puppets =(8) Navigator =(7)

[Crows-Nest] Nathin says, "Lo(on Health)rayne"

[peregaming] Lorayne asks, "Is turning the field on something that I can do, or does it require a skill? If I could get to the console somehow?"

GM says (to Lorayne), "The mooks which were surrounding you are getting back to their feet."

[peregaming] GM says, "It requires Tech-Use."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Drat"

[peregaming] GM says, "There are indirect, extreme techniques you could use to eliminate zombies faster."

[Crows-Nest] Nathin asks, "Maybe I can try and get past them somehow on my turn?"

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "Yeah, I think that's worth a try."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "So, I can't go help anyone and move in the same turn, so I'm going to attack the nearest zombie in melee for a standard attack and then take a half action to move away. While shouting at the mooks to reform."

[peregaming] Lorayne asks, "That ok?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Yep."

Lorayne rolls 1 100-sided die: 51 | 51

[peregaming] Lorayne fails

Lorayne moves further away from the action and the navigator.

[peregaming] GM says, "aww"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Fucking melee :D"

Lorayne advances the initiative: Lorayne(16) TRASK(11) Nathin(9) Puppets =(8) Navigator =(7)

Trask chops at any zombies blocking Nathin's access to the console.

Trask rolls 1 100-sided die: 29 | 29

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "I should have moved away first and then aimed for a half action."

Trask rolls 1 10-sided die: 3 | 3 + 8 = 11

GM says (to Trask), "You take out the zombie you'd already damaged, plus another zombie which was blocking the way to the console. There are still two more zombies that Nathin will have to plow through to reach the console."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Is either of them in melee range of me right now?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Nope."

Trask fires his revolver at one of them.

Trask rolls 1 100-sided die: 17 | 17

GM says (to Nathin), "Only one zombie blocks your way to the console"

[peregaming] Trask says, "I really want that shield up."

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "Is there a way to get past the zombie without fighting it?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "So I'll give you my commanding presence for whichever action you choose."

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "Like, run past and take a hit or something?"

[peregaming] GM says (to Nathin), "Hmm. You could try rolling Agility."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I will! (with +10 from my Lord)"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Roll it!"

Nathin rolls 1 100-sided die: 99 | 99

[peregaming] GM says, "Oh."

[peregaming] Trask says, "Ugh."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Oh for fuck's sake"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Fate point?"

[peregaming] GM says, "That is a critical failure."

[peregaming] Nathin exclaims, "Yeah!"

[peregaming] GM says, "Better use a fate point."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "FP to reroll"

Nathin rolls 1 100-sided die: 1 | 1

[peregaming] Nathin says, "ha ha ha ha ha"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Yay."

[peregaming] GM slow claps.

[peregaming] Trask says, "The Emperor smiles on you today."

Nathin runs (in slow-mo for some reason) and slides under the zombie's attack across the floor to the console.

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Ha"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Is that a full action or a half one?"

[peregaming] GM says, "He was so awesome, I'll allow a half one."

Nathin activates the shield.

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "Tech, I assume?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Yep! You have to wake up the Machine Spirit of the ship."

[peregaming] GM says, "-10 penalty."

[peregaming] Trask says, "Right, of course, that."

[peregaming] Nathin exclaims, "I get a +10 bonus!"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "so, I just roll normally, I assume?"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Indeed. Roll it!"

Nathin rolls 1 100-sided die: 61 | 61

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Grr. This is worth my last FP, surely"

[peregaming] GM says, "Indeed it is."

[peregaming] Trask says, "Surely."

Nathin rolls 1 100-sided die: 59 | 59

[peregaming] Nathin says, "*sigh*"

[peregaming] GM says, "The Emperor cries."

[peregaming] GM says, "But you didn't roll a crit failure, so..."

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "So the ship doesn't immediately explode!"

GM says (to Nathin), "You awaken the Machine spirit, but it is reluctant to obey you because it realizes you are not a member of the crew! WHO ARE YOU? WHAT HAS HAPPENED? it says in a robotic voice."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Oh shit, it's using java."

[peregaming] GM says, "haha."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Hee"

[peregaming] GM says (to Nathin), "You'll need to persuade it to turn on the Gellar field, somehow."

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "(I assume we just continue, or do you want me to answer?"

[peregaming] GM says (to Nathin), "Yes, please answer."

[peregaming] GM says, "(Mainly because I am having a lot of trouble keeping track of how many zombies there are, and every turn new ones are spawned, so...)"

Nathin exclaims, "Your ship has been damaged! We are salvaging it for the empire! And we have a Writ that makes it legal! Transfer command to me! Switch on the shield!"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I took me a second to realize that this time I CAN GIVE ORDERS"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Ha."

Machine says, "WHERE IS THE CAPTAIN?"

Trask says, "I'm your new captain, mate."

Machine says, "YOU LOOK LIKE A PIRATE TO ME."

Nathin says, "This is Lord Trask. For all intents and purposes, he is the new Captain. Your old captain is dead."

Nathin says, "if you insult my lord again, I'll put you in charge of waste processing! ACTIVATE THE BLOODY SHIELD"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Yay."

Machine says, "DO YOU MEAN THE GELLAR FIELD?"

Nathin exclaims, "YES!"

Machine says, "ACTIVATING GELLAR FIELD."

Nathin exclaims (at lorayne), "All yours. Give him hell!"

GM exclaims, "And you all feel the familiar buzz as the Gellar field turns on!"

GM advances the initiative: Lorayne(16) Trask(11) Nathin(9) PUPPETS =(8) Navigator =(7)

GM exclaims, "Two zombies leap on Nathin from behind and try to drag him to hell!"

GM exclaims, "It's an opposed Strength check!"

[Crows-Nest] Nathin exclaims, "I shouldn't have takent that coin from that gyspy!"

Nathin rolls 1 100-sided die: 37 | 37

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 8 | 8

Nathin says, "gah"

GM says, "The zombies have five degrees of success."

GM asks, "And you?"

Nathin says, "I failed"

GM exclaims, "So you find yourself in a tug of war between two zombies!"

Lorayne says, "Hang on, Nathin!"

Nathin exclaims, "I regret nothing! Long live the Emperor!"

GM advances the initiative: Lorayne(16) Trask(11) Nathin(9) Puppets =(8) NAVIGATOR =(7)

GM exclaims, "The Navigator charges at Lorayne again, with glowing fists!"

GM rolls 1 100-sided die: 77 | 77

GM says, "And fails to land a blow, because..."

GM exclaims, "... the heroic Jamisin sacrified himself to save Lorayne!"

Lorayne aww.

GM advances the initiative: END OF ROUND

GM advances the initiative: LORAYNE(16) Trask(11) Nathin(9) Puppets =(8) Navigator =(7)

[peregaming] Lorayne asks, "So did he get within melee of me, or did she keep him away?"

[peregaming] Trask adds to Jamesin's personel file when they get back: 'incompetent but well-meaning'.

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "s/she/he/"

[peregaming] GM says, "He's not in melee range, fortunately."

[peregaming] Trask asks (of Lorayne), "Who says Jamesin is a he?"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Weird, that's also how Puddlethrope usually describes the knights"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "I don't want him in melee range :) I want to shoot him in the head."

[peregaming] GM says, "Yay."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "The GM said "himself""

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "The shield's down, by the way, thanks to Nathin!"

[peregaming] Trask says (to Lorayne), "Oh, good point."

[peregaming] Trask says (to GM), "Yay."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Are the rest of the mooks doing anything?"

[peregaming] GM says, "The mooks are either fending off zombies or making sure you guys are safe."

Lorayne uses her full action to do a semi-auto burst again.

[peregaming] Trask says, "Good, good."

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "So what is the gender balance of our mooks? Do we need to think about quotas one way or the other?"

[peregaming] Trask asks (of Lorayne), "Semi or full?"

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "Also, have some commanding presence!"

[peregaming] GM says (to Nathin), "It's fairly egalitarian."

Trask exclaims (at Lorayne), "Now's your opportunity!"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Oops. Full."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "I missed that page."

[peregaming] GM asks, "It's a semi weapon?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "S/2/4"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "aha!"

[peregaming] GM says, "okay."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "The one I did earlier :)"

[peregaming] GM says, "go ahead :-)"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "So I have a 45 + 20 from this + 10 from my ability, so 75 :D (I forgot the 10 earlier)"

Lorayne rolls 1 100-sided die: 92 | 92

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "FUCK."

[peregaming] GM asks, "Do you have any Fate points left?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Aw, man."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Pretty sure no."

[peregaming] GM says, "Well, well."

[peregaming] Lorayne asks, "I spent that earlier, no?"

[peregaming] Lorayne asks, "Or did I?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "'fp view' lists one, but you might have just forgotten to note it."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "I think so, yeah."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Next."

[peregaming] GM asks, "I checked the transcript, you have one fate point left?"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Oh, ok."

Lorayne spends a fate point, leaving her with 0.

Lorayne rolls 1 100-sided die: 43 | 43

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "Much better!"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I think I spent all three, but I'm not sure what I spent the first one on"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "And that's a hit!"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Is it multiple hits?"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "That's a hit with one extra hit. (one per two shifts)"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Indeed!"

[peregaming] GM says, "Roll it."

Lorayne rolls 1 10-sided die: 2 | 2 + 7 = 9

Lorayne rolls 1 10-sided die: 6 | 6 + 7 = 13

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "First one"

Lorayne rolls 1 10-sided die: 5 | 5 + 7 = 12

Lorayne rolls 1 10-sided die: 1 | 1 + 7 = 8

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "13 and 12"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Wait, isn't it one per one shift?"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Oh."

[peregaming] GM says, "She gets to roll twice and pick the highest"

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "Oh!"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Trask is right. I was reading the semi."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Again."

[peregaming] Trask says (to GM), "Yeah, I'm just saying I think she hit four times, not two."

Lorayne rolls 1 10-sided die: 3 | 3 + 7 = 10

Lorayne rolls 1 10-sided die: 1 | 1 + 7 = 8

Lorayne rolls 1 10-sided die: 8 | 8 + 7 = 15

Lorayne rolls 1 10-sided die: 8 | 8 + 7 = 15

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "So 12, 12, 10, and 15"

[peregaming] GM asks, "What's your Pen?"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "13, I mean, not the first 12"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Penetration is 4"

[peregaming] GM says, "Wooey."

[peregaming] GM says, "Give me a few moments."

[peregaming] Trask says, "Yeah, this is much better than when that schmuck had you in melee range all that time."

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "Tactically, I wonder if we would have been better off if I'd attacked the Navigator instead of trying to clear zombies."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "i told her to give him hell, so I'm taking credit for this"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Hehe"

[Crows-Nest] Trask says, "It might have gotten him to focus on me, while Lorayne could then use full auto to mow them down."

GM says (to Lorayne), "Well, this was... bloody."

Lorayne smiles.

GM says, "You fired volley after volley of shots mercilessly to the Navigator's face, until at long last the Worm dropped down from his forehead because now the Navigator doesn't have a head any more."

GM says, "And the Worm just stays there, not moving."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Are the zombies still moving?"

GM exclaims, "The zombies fall down!"

GM says, "In a heap."

Lorayne yiss!

[peregaming] Trask asks, "The worm isn't moving, but is it still in one piece?"

Trask says, "Nice work, everyone."

[peregaming] GM says, "It's intact."

Nathin says, "It was all your excellent grasp of tactics, my lord"

[peregaming] GM says, "Obviously takes more than mere firepower to damage it."

Trask walks up to the worm, then at point blank range, he brings the blade of his power sword down onto it.

[Crows-Nest] Nathin says, "I fear we need to take it to Mount Doom"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Helpless target... always succeed... roll damage twice."

Trask rolls 1 10-sided die: 3 | 3 + 8 = 11

GM says (to Trask), "Sparks fly, and your blade is nearly damaged, but your attack leaves no visible mark."

Trask rolls 1 10-sided die: 5 | 5 + 8 = 13

[peregaming] Trask says, "That's 24 total, penetration 6."

[peregaming] GM says, "Still doesn't damage it."

[Crows-Nest] Nathin asks (of gm), "Can I try using tech to find a weakness?"

Trask says (to Nathin), "I can't even scratch this thing."

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "It's Xenotech, so... I'd say -20 to the roll."

Trask asks, "Can you do anything?"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "-10 still, hm"

Nathin rolls 1 100-sided die: 71 | 71

Nathin says (to trask), ""I'm sorry, my lord. This tech is unfamilar."

Nathin asks, "Maybe we can ... imprison it, bring it back for study?"

Trask says, "I don't want this thing to just wait until our backs are turned and then crawl into Jamesin's skull and start this all over again."

Lorayne shudders.

Trask says, "Someone find some kind of cage or lockbox that will hold it."

Nathin says, " A very good point, my lord. I suggest we put it into some sort of transparent container."

Trask says (to Nathin), "Good plan. Make it happen."

Nathin says, "Of course."

Nathin locks for such a thing.

[Crows-Nest] Roger says, "whoops it fell out the airlock"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "Search?"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "+10 to his Search for CP?"

[peregaming] GM says, "I'll allow that."

Nathin rolls 1 100-sided die: 69 | 69

[peregaming] Nathin says, "grr"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "nope"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Meanwhile, I have Lore (Occult). Does this thing fall under that at all?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Hmmm."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Or are zombies just, y'know, ordinary day to day things in this universe?"

[peregaming] GM says, "For those of you with some Forbidden Lore, you know that only the Warp could power such things."

[Crows-Nest] Nathin says, "For you, it was Zombie Week. But for me, it was Tuesday."

Trask says (to Redshirts), "Clean up the bodies here. Record the ID's of the Bounty's crewmembers before you incinerate them. Unfortunately, under the circumstances, we can't risk bringing any of them back with us for a proper burial."

[peregaming] GM says, "I'll allow a Lore (Occult) roll."

Trask rolls 1 100-sided die: 63 | 63

[peregaming] Trask says, "Nope, failure."

[peregaming] Trask asks, "This game involves a lot of failure, doesn't it?"

[peregaming] GM says, "Yeah."

[peregaming] * inky has joined the channel.

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Is this like othe games where only one person can make a search roll? Or can multiple? (just in case)"

[peregaming] GM says, "Ironically, less so than Dark Heresy, where your stats are basically all between 10 and 30"

[Crows-Nest] Nathin says (to trask), "Well, we are basically Lvl1"

[peregaming] GM says (to Lorayne), "You can also make a Search roll. You could even use the redshirts to help, and if you want you can try to get a bonus (ie create advantage like in FATE) by rolling for Tactica Imperialis beforehand."

[peregaming] GM says, "This is a game where the more you think strategically, the more likely you'll succeed."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Sure, I'll do that. Rolling TI."

Lorayne rolls 1 100-sided die: 91 | 91

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "No"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Can I give her CP too-- oh."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "It wouldn't have helped (and what the fuck, the light in my room just went out)"

[peregaming] Trask says, "(Well, for the Search at least.)"

[peregaming] Trask says (to Lorayne), "That's to reflect how hard your Search test will be."

Lorayne rolls 1 100-sided die: 69 | 69

[peregaming] Lorayne cries.

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "Can you tell the serial killer to wait till after the game?"

[peregaming] GM pats Lorayne on the shoulder, soothingly.

Trask checks the captain's plinth. Does it seem safe to use, or are there more nasties lurking up there?

GM says (to Trask), "All seems safe, now that the Gellar field is on and the Worm is inactive."

Trask takes a seat and, from there, pulls up status displays for the ship's major systems.

GM says (to Trask), "The ship has sustained damage, and won't be able to do any warp jumps until it's fixed, but you can still use the plasma drive to move it out of the cloud of debris."

Trask says, "Namor, you keep an eye on that worm. Don't touch it. Don't let it touch anything. And let us know the second it tries to move again."

[peregaming] GM asks, "Is Namor another redshirt?"

Trask tries to the controls to see how well she's able to move at this point.

[peregaming] Trask says, "Indeed."

GM says (to Trask), "There is a bit of shaking from some debris that you bump into, but the ship moves."

Nathin asks, "Can I try tech to improve our chances some more?"

Nathin asks, "Improve shielding, or the drive, etc.?"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Are there weapons? Anything that could help clear out some of the junk in our way?"

[peregaming] GM says, "There are plasma cannons."

[peregaming] GM says, "But you need Ballistic Skill to fire them, and you need to not hit your own ship, the Sovereign Venture."

Trask says (to Lorayne), "It looks like the ship's plasma cannons might still be online."

Lorayne ooohs.

Trask says, "I'll set a course that'll bring us about thirty degrees sarboard of the Venture."

Trask says, "That way, you should be able to fire straight ahead of us without risking a stray shot hitting her."

[peregaming] Lorayne asks, "What kind of weapon is a plasma cannon?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "A big one, I think."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Class, I mean"

[peregaming] GM says, "It's a ship weapon, so technically anyone with access to the consoles can fire it."

[peregaming] GM says, "Ballistic Skill is needed only if you're aiming at something specific."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I meanwhile, try to find blueprints of the ship or something, to see if they have a xenotech lab or something"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Well, ok. But I was hoping to find out it was basic :)"

[peregaming] GM says, "A cannon the size of a space shuttle is hardly basic ;-)"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Fair enough!"

[peregaming] GM says, "If you're not aiming at anything, I'll assume you succeed in clearing the path, and thus you guys can roleplay this as you please."

Lorayne takes over the controls regardless, because it's fun to shoot things.

[peregaming] GM says, "yay"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Here is my present plan: https://www.webwhiteboard.com/board/cvx3f3tv"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "ha ha"

Trask brings up a diagram on the main viewscreen graphically outlining his plan.

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "awesome! in Technicolor!"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "I screenshotted that. It's going in the wiki :D"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Yay."

Nathin says, "Excellent in its breathtaking simplicity, my lord"

Trask says, "Thank you! That semester of Art Appreciation in college is really paying off far more than I ever expected it to."

Trask says (to Lorayne), "Fire at will. I'll follow your lead this time."

Lorayne shoots at the debris, resisting the urge to make her own sound effects (out loud, that is, totallydoing it in her head).

[peregaming] GM says, "aww :-)"

Nathin keeps looking for the xenolab.

Trask eases open the accelerator and glides down the tunnel Lorayne has created for them.

GM exclaims (at Nathin), "You find a series of linked storage rooms filled with machines and artefacts!"

GM says, "They look like nothing you've ever seen."

Nathin says, "Wow, we should have our top people look at these"

Trask says, "Bounty to Venture. This is Sarvus Trask. We have taken control of the target."

Grendel says, "Venture to Bounty. Magnificently done, my Lord. Shall we send crew over to assist in repairs?"

Trask says, "Please do. Nathin Tsanthos will give you a report of what we've found. Take it into account when selecting the repair team: things could still be pretty dangerous over here if they're not careful."

Nathin says, "I will use this as a second chance for all the people who talked about me behind my back. They will all join the inventory team."

Lorayne chuckles.

Trask nods in approval.

Grendel says, "Understood, my Lord. Shall I have some celebratory wine sent over as well?"

Nathin exclaims, "As long as it's not the one with the worm in it. Ha ha ha!"

Trask says, "Please -- and also, a high-security storage unit. Preferably with either windows or viewscreens into the interior. We have an... artifact to contain."

[peregaming] GM exclaims, "And this seems like a good place to end the session!"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Yay!"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "woo"

[peregaming] Trask says, "Yay indeed."

[peregaming] Trask says, "This was fun."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I imagined an ending like this"

[peregaming] GM says, "You're welcome :-)"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "It was fun! Thanks :)"

Nathin opens the storage room. Is the ground wriggling?

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Yeah, I liked this a lot."

[peregaming] Nathin exclaims, "And you neither TPKed us NOR gave us a world-ending artifact!"

[peregaming] GM says, "Well, the zombies had terrible stats. I tried."

[peregaming] GM says, "Emperor knows I tried to TPK you guys, but you were too pure and heroic for me."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "And I had a big fucking gun."

[peregaming] GM says, "That also."

[peregaming] Trask says, "Hee."

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "Which he did everything he could to try to keep you from using!"

[peregaming] Lorayne speaks soothingly to it, "Good job, baby.", when nobody is around to hear.

[peregaming] Trask says, "So the most important question remaining is:"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Does Alicia get to level up now?"

[peregaming] GM says, "hahaha"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "Why is it called "Rogue Trader" when we still work for the Empire?"

[peregaming] Trask exclaims, "You don't work for the Empire!"

[peregaming] Trask says, "You work for *me*."

[peregaming] Trask says, "We just, uh, need the Empire's permission to salvage their ships that they've lost."

[peregaming] Nathin says, "Aha"

[peregaming] Trask says, "(FYI: I have no idea what I'm talking about.)"

[peregaming] Nathin exclaims, "As any good leader"!"

[peregaming] Nathin asks, "So we're on break next week, and after that it's back to prison?"

[peregaming] GM asks, "I think so?"

[peregaming] Trask asks, "Does anyone want to jump in and run anything next week?"

[peregaming] Trask says, "I think lps said he might be up for playing if someone did."

[peregaming] Trask asks (of Lorayne), "Oh, do you know any more about those two weekends in February yet?"

[peregaming] Nathin says, "I like to not DM when I'M already running a campaign :D"

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Almost certainly out the weekend of the 22nd, because I booked a hotel room in Providence already."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Dunno about the one before that yet. Or if I'm going to Seattle at all."

[peregaming] Lorayne says, "Though that shouldn't affect Saturdays."
