[7thsea] Bert says, "Test again."

[7thsea] Bert exclaims, "Log on!"

[7thsea] Talbert says (to GM), "you mean 'theaha, thanks'"

[7thsea] GM says, "Ha"

[7thsea] inky asks, "is this using 1e or 2e rules?"

[7thsea] GM says, "I decided to stick with 1e because I knew them better."

[Crows-Nest] Johann says, "I've just finished Dragon Age: Inquisiton, this is gonna be confusing"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "What do we know about Mari? Is she someone famous?"

[7thsea] GM says (to DonMiguel), "She's someone who spoke out against the inquisition, and they finally got her to say something they classified as 'heresy'."

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Also, I assume we're all wearing masks?"

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "Of course!"

[7thsea] GM says, "Yeah, you are all in disguise (as you want) and one person can have the actual 'Los Vagos' mask."

[7thsea] GM says, "(Also, Floriana/Felipe can have disguised you.)"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "Two of us are showing 9, too?"

[7thsea] GM asks (of Don), "Also, speaking of, is Felipe here?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "I think our cunning plan involved leaving Felipe somewhere nearby, with either the backup plan (when things go wrong) or the getaway plan (when they go right)."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "(What those plans might be, we'll learn as needed?)"

[7thsea] GM says, "Perfect."

[7thsea] GM says (to Talbert), "So, you're first! You can either be the first part of the plan, or hold your action and come in later."

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "I'll hold until I have a better sense of what's happening?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Oh, right, another cut-and-paste I meant to say:"

[7thsea] GM | The first part of this combat will be just you all acting: you have a 'surprise round'. If you don't want to be the first person to act, say you want to hold your action, and we'll move on until you want to do something. We won't establish who's where until your first action, so feel free to hold off and decide you were in the tree all along, if that's what makes sense when you want to start. If you want to wait until the next round to appear, that's also OK! The one exception is Taleslinger/Johann, because I know where he is, and I'll let you know on his turn.

[7thsea] GM exclaims (at Talbert), "OK, then we go to DonMiguel!"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "(I keep wanting to abbreviate his name as DM but I figure that would probably be confusing.)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "I'm in the tree that's right above the road where the carriage is passing through!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "And on my turn, I'll stealthily drop down on top of it."

[Crows-Nest] DonMiguel says (to GM), "You could call me Miguel or Don, if you wanted."

[7thsea] GM says, "Great! Give me a Stealth roll, and hmm, this is probably contested."

[7thsea] GM says, "(which means the TN is what the guards roll.)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Finesse, I assume."

[7thsea] GM says, "Yeah, that sounds good."

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "exploding dice!"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "You succeed! rp!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "For the newbies: that means I add my Stealth knack and my Finesse trait (2 and 4 respectively) to roll 6 dice total, and I keep the four best ones (my Finesse trait). I.e., 'roll 6k4'."

[Crows-Nest] Johann asks, "So this just means 38 > 13, so he wins?"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "aha"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "I like the videogame tutorial feel"

[7thsea] Johann says, "aha"

[7thsea] GM says, "OK! We're up to 3 (Don again) and Talbert can jump in at any time."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Assuming Talbert doesn't act, I'd like to try to peek in the windows without being seen, so that I can tell what we're dealing with."

[7thsea] Johann says, "I'm still confused on how initiative is counted down"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Me too"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says (to Johann), "There are ten 'phases' per round. You start with phase 1, then phase 2, etc."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Anyone who rolled a 1 on one of their init dice can act during phase 1. Anyone who rolled a 2 can act on phase 2. Etc."

[7thsea] GM says, "(Also: at some point I need to figure out how to translate rolling really well into something more than just 'you succeed'. One way to do that is to intentionally attempt to do something additional that makes things more difficult, called 'a raise': if you succeed at the more dificult TN, you get to accomplish the extra thing.)"

[7thsea] Johann says, "aha, so the lower the better"

[7thsea] GM says, "Or at least sooner ;-)"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "So 7, 9, 2 means I get to act on phases 2, 7 and 9"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "If you want to jump in early but don't have any dice for the current phase, you can spend two of your init dice that you haven't used yet to get to act immediately."

[7thsea] GM says, "The other thing about initiative is that you can always spend two future actions to interrupt and act right now."

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims (at Talbert), "Exactly!"

[7thsea] GM says, "(timing!)"

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "aha!"

[7thsea] GM says, "Also, if you have to defend, you can spend just a single future action to actively defend against being attacked instead of taking your default defense value (and you can decide after they roll.)"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "Since no one rolled a 1, I would have been the first to act, but I held my action. Don Miguel rolled a 2 and 3, he acted on phase 2, and now we're at phase 3 and it's his turn again but I can jump in when I want anytime before phase 7?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims (at Talbert), "Correct!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Nice"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Do you want to jump in now, or should I use my 3?"

[7thsea] Johann says, "go ahead"

[7thsea] Talbert says (to DonMiguel), "use your 3 while I discuss with the GM"

[7thsea] GM says (to Don), "Let me describe what you see."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "(wait, I can't discuss with the GM while Don is taking his turn, whoops)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "(Also, is there just one driver?)"

[7thsea] GM says, "The driver is sitting in the front, at a lower level than the guards on the roof. You can just see his head."

[7thsea] Johann asks, "How are these folks armed?"

[7thsea] GM says (to Talbert), "You can discuss and I'll catch up ;-)"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "OK"

[7thsea] GM says (to Johann), "Both are wearing swords at their belts, and both hold a pistol, and have a second pistol in their belts."

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Can I tell from here if the doors appear to be locked?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "You cannot!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "And I assume that's my full turn for this phase, right?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Oh, for 3? Nah, you can actually Do A Thing if you want; that was just looking around."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Yay."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "I guess I should have done the 'drop down from a tree' tactic too. Or maybe we're on horseback parallel to the road? Or preparing an ambush further ahead, pistols loaded? I'm thinking"

[7thsea] GM says (to Talbert), "You can in a bit if you like; you can be in the next tree or whatever."

[7thsea] GM says, "This is all Part Of The Plan ;-)"

[7thsea] GM exclaims (at Don), "Give me something/Wits!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks (of Johann and Talbert), "If it's unlocked, is our plan to open it immediately and have you guys jump in, or to keep it quiet for now?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks (of GM), "Stealth again?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Sure, that works."

[7thsea] GM says, "TN 15."

[7thsea] GM says, "Unopposed."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "You succeed!"

[7thsea] GM says, "And find out:"

[7thsea] Talbert says (to DonMiguel), "As a Reckless fellow, I would be in favour of the former ;)"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "And Johann, of course, has Wits 1"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "and is Loyal to a fault"

[7thsea] Johann says, "I don't know where I am and the GM seems to have a plan for it, so I don't know"

[7thsea] Talbert says (to Johann), "whoops I'd forgotten that"

[7thsea] Johann says, "Also Johann is a bit on the slow side, yes :-)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Do I have time to check the others as well?"

[7thsea] GM asks (of Don), "Hmm, I think you could have checked more than one with a raise if you had asked before you rolled? You could check the back and the other side next time that way if you want?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "OK!"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "So, we move to phase 6 and discover what's up with Johann!"

[7thsea] Talbert asks (of GM), "what about me?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Oh yeah, I forget, how many drama dice do we all start with? Was it equal to our lowest trait?"

[7thsea] GM says, "You can take your phase 2 action if you want, sure."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "I'll do that"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "and drop down from another tree, pocketing a sketch I just drew of a cool bird"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "(the real reason I opted for a tree further along, more time to draw)"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "So that's Stealth + Finesse, right?"

[7thsea] Johann says, "Someone took the ADHD hubris (or virtue?)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Panache + Drawing."

[7thsea] GM says, "right, drama dice! Yes, everyone starts with a number of drama dice equal to your lowest stat for yourself, but you also get a second that you can give to another PC whenever they do something cool."

[7thsea] GM says, "(or just because)"

[7thsea] GM says, "(but you have to justify it with something cool.)"

[7thsea] GM says (to OK!), "Stealth/Finesse, vs. target's 3k2."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "close shave"

[7thsea] GM says, "You succeed! rp away."

[7thsea] Johann asks, "So you always keep the best 4?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "You always keep the best ones, but how many is based on your trait."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "E.g., when I rolled Wits + Stealth, I rolled 5k3, because my Wits is 3 and my Stealth is 2."

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "aha!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Note: drawing sketches of birds while on a mission counts as Reckless, right"

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "Anyway, now it's Johann's mystery turn!"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "I believe?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Ha."

[7thsea] Johann says, "Huh."

[7thsea] Johann asks, "And I have no idea who this woman is? Or is this a Joker/da Silva having been captured on purpose kind of thing?"

[7thsea] Talbert says (to Johann), "Either way, would Johann know the difference? Sorry, I'll stop the 'Wits 1' jokes now"

[7thsea] GM says, "You do not! And you have not yet made contact with Los Vagos, though you keep trying. You think that might be one of the reasons the Inquisition nabbed you, though you also saw them looking at your panzerhand greedily when they took it."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "unzerhanded business"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "also"

[7thsea] Johann says, "Since Johann is not one for subtlety, I'll try to kick open the door and jump out."

[7thsea] GM asks, "Do you want to free your hands first or not?"

[7thsea] Johann says, "It would be more reasonable, but I feel it will be funnier if I don't, so no."

[7thsea] GM says, "Ha, yay"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "yay"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "Do I roll...Brawn? Athlete?"

[Setting the zoned flag.]

[7thsea] GM says, "OK! The door is thick so has an effective TN of 15. I'll treat it like a normal opponent, so you roll your attack, and it'll roll a defense against the 'flesh wounds' you inflict (i.e. whatever you roll > 10)."

[7thsea] GM says, "Hmm, let's see."

[7thsea] GM says, "Definitely Brawn."

[7thsea] Johann says, "I also have pugilism"

[7thsea] GM says, "If you have some sort of 'unarmed' martial skill that's most appropriate, if you pick a non-martial skill instead, say the TN is bumped to 20."

[7thsea] GM says, "Pugilism is perfect."

[7thsea] Johann asks, "So I have that at 3, then attack at 2, that means I roll 5k3?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Brawn 3, attack 2? Yes."

[7thsea] GM says, "(er, what you roll >15)"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "Hm, but what does the pugilist skill level do?"

[7thsea] GM says, "(earlier)"

[7thsea] GM checks the spreadsheet.

[7thsea] GM says, "Pugilist gave you a handful of knacks including 'attack', and then you spend another point to bump Attack to 2."

[7thsea] Johann says, "Correct"

[7thsea] GM says, "So you always roll knack+trait k trait."

[7thsea] GM says, "The skill itself you don't roll; it just gives you knacks."

[7thsea] Johann asks, "but why are skills raisable then? Or did I misunderstand something?"

[7thsea] GM says, "The skills aren't raisable; the knacks are."

[7thsea] Johann says, "Oh! I misread the sheet. Sorry, nevermind."

[7thsea] GM says, "So! You inflicted 3 'flesh wounds' on the door. The door resisted, and didn't break, but it still has those flesh wounds, which are added to future checks until it takes a 'Dramatic wound'."

[7thsea] Johann asks, "So everything I rolled >10 inflicts wounds, but I don't see how 8 gets me 3 wounds?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Sorry, I was wrong about 10; I had said the TN was 15 originally."

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "aha!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Hmm, I have Spy, but I don't appear to have any explicit lockpicking skill."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "(Unless Surgery counts.)"

[7thsea] GM says, "In that case, it's probably an advanced knack, which you would be able to roll since you have Spy, but currently have at 0, so straight finesse."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "And I'm not really strong enough to break a door."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "So it's a good thing we planned for this, and I used my Natural Philosophy skill ahead of time to create some sort of acid or explosive I can use on the door latch."

[7thsea] GM says, "(it looks like officially Lockpicking only belongs to Criminal, but I'm happy adding it to Spy)"

[7thsea] GM says, "Ha, perfect."

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Wits + Nat Phil?"

[7thsea] GM says (to Don), "Sure, that's perfect. TN 15."

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "Are we sure Don Miguel isn't the real Vagabond?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "(AFK a moment.)"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "OK! The door is open!"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "And we go to phase 7: Talbert!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "It feels like Dirty Fighting would be apropos"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "a well-aimed kick to the pate?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "To the priest? Sure!"

[7thsea] GM says, "TN 10, since you have advantage from up here."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "OK! So that's just the basic Attack Knack, right? Also I don't know why I have it at 2 on my sheet"

[7thsea] GM asks, "You may have spent a point to increase it?"

[7thsea] GM says, "And yes."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Nah, I remember now that I thought mistakenly getting the same knack from difference sources increased it"

[7thsea] GM says, "Attack + Finesse, keep finesse."

[7thsea] GM asks, "It does! Did you?"

[7thsea] GM says, "(The max is 3, but a knack level does increase if you get it from different sources)"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "That's what I did, but it occurs to me that the basic Attack knack is specific to each martial skill and thus the Attack from Dirty Fighting isn't the same as the one from Fencing?"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Looks like I did thes ame with Double-Parry"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Yeah, Attack (Dirty Fighting) and Attack (Fencing) are considered two separate knacks."

[7thsea] GM says, "Most of them are different, but if they are, they call them different things. So if they both have Attack (Dirty Fighting), you have a 2 in Attack (Dirty Fighting)."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "OK! So I'll fix my sheet"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "And roll"

[7thsea] GM says, "(timing, yes, different attack knacks are indeed different)"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "So, you inflict 9 flesh wounds!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "oh no, the enemy also get exploding dice"

[7thsea] GM says, "Oh, hmm, I think they might not."

[7thsea] GM says, "(Villains do, but not Henchmen? Let me check.)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Hmm. Is this a different system for deciding flesh wounds?"

[7thsea] GM asks, "Isn't it normal?"

[7thsea] GM asks, "Hits above the TN?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "I thought that the damage roll was separate from the attack roll (and was based on the weapon type)."

[7thsea] GM says, "Oh, pfft. You are correct; I am dum."

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Too much Fate?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Clearly ;-)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Loks like page 188."

[7thsea] GM says, "so, yes: you hit, and then roll damage dice according to the type."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Boot is improvised weapon? I guess not"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "I can't find what I want in the PDF..."

[7thsea] GM says, "Yeah, I've been looking around myself."

[7thsea] GM says, "And Dirty Fighting isn't actually Improvised Weapon anyway."

[7thsea] GM asks, "Which are you using?"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "I see that Dirty Fighting has a Kick advanced knack which I don't have, so I'd roll 0+Finesse for that (thus my roll earlier should have been 4k4)"

[7thsea] Talbert |A Kick inflicts 0k2 damage, but raises the TN that you

[7thsea] Talbert |A Kick inflicts 0k2 damage, but raises the TN that you are trying to hit by 10. You must declare a Kick before rolling the attack, and use this Knack instead of your normal Attack Knack.

[7thsea] Talbert says, "...0 dice, keep 2? Wat."

[7thsea] GM says, "It's 0k2 plus your brawn."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Ah okay"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "In hindsight that should probably not have been my dump stat :D"

[7thsea] GM says, "Heh."

[7thsea] Johann says, "Sounds like you're at your Wits' end."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "hehe"

[7thsea] GM says, "So! If you only have one brawn, there's no advantage (yet) to a kick, so we'll say you hit, and roll 1k1 for damage."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Right, just a normal dirty attack"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "So, you inflict 9 flesh wounds!"

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "and I inflict the exact same amount!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "amazing"

[7thsea] GM says, "That was hilarious."

[7thsea] GM says, "(I said that by hitting 'up' until I got it ;-)"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "indeed"

[7thsea] Johann says, "hee hee"

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "And now to phase 8 of the MCU!"

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "Los Vagos meet the Crusaders!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "The Inquisition doesn't know whether to hate or love Wanda for her fire powers"

[7thsea] GM says, "phase 9! Johann and Talbert! I guess the one with the higher finesse officially goes first, I think, but either is fine."

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "El Fuego Adentro!"

[7thsea] Talbert says (to GM), "I'd like to get in a second kick as he looks up"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "right in the teeth"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "still Dirty Fighting (Attack) + Finesse?"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "and 1k1 damage"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Sure!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "9 again"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "The dice explode! And so do his teeth"

[7thsea] GM says, "That's lower than 18! He takes a dramatic wound, but remains upright."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Also, before attacking, you can declare that you want to take a 'raise'. This raises the TN for the attack, but also lets you do more damage."

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims (at DonMiguel), "Good to remember!"

[7thsea] GM says, "(also, I think you can take a raise (increase the TN) for an extra unkept damage die)"

[7thsea] GM says, "(timing once more!)"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "Johann?"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "Fellow brother of the kicking persuasion?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Heh."

[7thsea] Johann says, "I think now that the situation has changed I will try to free my hands after all."

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "So right now, Johann and (presumably) Mari are in the back room of the carriage, and the only door out of there is a locked one leading to the room where the priest is?"

[7thsea] Johann says, "Oh, he thought you blew open the door to our compartment"

[7thsea] GM says (to Johann), "OK! Let's say that's athletics/brawn (assuming you're trying to snap them) with a TN of 10 (they're not very strong ropes)"

[7thsea] GM says, "And yes, there's now a closed door and an open door between you and the outside."

[7thsea] Johann says, "When you say athletics..."

[7thsea] GM says, "Sigh, yeah, pick some appropriate knack."

[7thsea] Johann says, "Would you allow a pugilist attack for that? None of my athlete knacks seem appropriate"

[7thsea] GM says, "Sure."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "The ropes shatter! rp!"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "Is that my turn?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "It is!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "yay"

[7thsea] Johann says, "sorry, ve"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "And that's the end of the round! Everyone roll Panache again for initiative, and this time the bad guys will, too!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "woot"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says (to Talbert), "Heh. Just 'roll 3' for this one."

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "that didn't explode. Was it supposed to explode?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Yay, th bad guys don't all go first."

[7thsea] GM says, "(though 2d10 works too)"

[7thsea] GM says, "No, init doesn't explode."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "good good"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "We seem to be using different commands for rolling ini here?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Phase 1!"

[7thsea] GM says, "Yeah, it's 'roll 2' or 'roll 2d10'."

[7thsea] GM says, "(Talbert)"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "I'm tempted to keep kicking this guy in the face because it's silly"

[7thsea] GM says (to Talbert), "The guards are starting to turn around and exclaim at you, too."

[7thsea] GM says, "But they are all in range."

[7thsea] GM says, "(except the driver)"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "I should probably attack people who might shoot at us, yeah"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "I have Firearms, can I say I have a pistol ready in my belt or something?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Of course!"

[7thsea] GM says, "You are totally prepared."

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "Then I'll be shooting at one of the guards!"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "Finesse?"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Or something else"

[7thsea] GM says, "Correct, with attack(firearms)"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "cool"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "and damage will be 4k3"

[7thsea] GM says, "Right."

[7thsea] GM says, "(without adding brawn)"

[7thsea] GM says, "Hang on; let me figure out the TN."

[7thsea] GM says, "OK, the TN for everyone trying to avoid stuff on top of a moving carriage is based on your Ride skill."

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "A skill I have!"

[7thsea] GM says, "(sigh; is it just skillx5 or skillx5+5?)"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Plus 5!"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "if they're in short range, there's also -10 to the TN?"

[7thsea] GM says, "So, the TN for the guards is 10, with their Ride of 1."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "page 188"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "ah no I'm misreading this"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "ignore me"

[7thsea] GM says, "No, you're right, but I think that's a penalty for being slightly further away."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "A hit!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "boom"

[7thsea] GM says, "Which I think is two dramatic wounds, since they missed by more than 10."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Actually 3!"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "He is taken out! rp!"

[Crows-Nest] Johann says, "quick disconnect"

[7thsea] GM says, "Nice! Nobody is phase 2, and phase 3 is the bad guys! But one fewer of them."

[Crows-Nest] DonMiguel says, "Please tell me this guard is called 'Wilhelm'."

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "yay"

[Crows-Nest] Johann says, "That is super offensive to the people of Eisen"

[Crows-Nest] DonMiguel says, "Yeah, I can hear them screaming about it from here."

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "They are taking the hobbits to Eisen-gard"

[Crows-Nest] Johann asks, "What was the name of that recap channel again?"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "theah"

[7thsea] GM says, "Johann and Don: give me a straight Wits check TN 15."

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "The discrepancy could not be greater"

[Crows-Nest] DonMiguel asks, "You want to trade my first die for yours?"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert asks, "Johann has a drama die he got from the GM, too?"

[Crows-Nest] DonMiguel asks, "If Talbert is on the roof, should he have had a Wits check too?"

[Crows-Nest] DonMiguel says, "Ilac."

[7thsea] GM says, "Actually, let's have Johann roll that too, with a free raise since there are walls where he is."

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "And I roll as well, right?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Oh, duh, yes. Wrong names."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "oh no"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "guess I didn't figure it out in time. alas"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "Would Footwork er work too?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Not this time!"

[7thsea] Johann says, "Then it"

[7thsea] Johann says, "Then it's just straight finesse"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "What um is a free raise?"

[7thsea] GM says, "It means 'add 5 to your roll'."

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "So now I roll Balance/Finesse?"

[7thsea] GM says, "correct."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "I don't seem to have the Balance knack though"

[7thsea] Johann says, "(Hm, it didn't add the +5, that should be 17)"

[7thsea] GM says, "Then it's just straight finesse."

[7thsea] Johann says, "(How do I use drama die?)"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "You roll 1k1 and add it!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "This bodes ill"

[7thsea] Johann says, "man"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "The TN was 21, so you fall or you can spend a drama die!"

[7thsea] Johann says, "alas, I fall"

[7thsea] GM says, "(also, you can spend a drama die before you roll, turning (say) a 3k2 into a 4k3, which is a little better than a 3k2 + 1k1 separately.)"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "So I could have turned my 3k3 into a 4k4?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Yeah, though that is identical to a 3k3 + 1k1, so you might as well check to see if the 3k3 succeeds first."

[7thsea] GM says, "(or if it's too low to reasonably expect a 1k1 to help)"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "So Talbert and Johanna both fall?"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "...in love (just saw the typo)"

[7thsea] GM asks, "Correct! Unless you want to spend a drama die of your own?"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Hm, I'd have to roll a 9 or 10 for that to succeed."

[Numenera] guard2 says, "(held action until you do something; if it's not 'jump off' or 'talk' or something, he'll shoot.)"

[Numenera] guard2 says, "er."

[7thsea] guard2 says, "(held action until you do something; if it's not 'jump off' or 'talk' or something, he'll shoot.)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "We'll find out what I do in phase 4!"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Which brings us to phase 4!"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "When everyone has an action, but Don goes first! Unless he prompts the guard to shoot!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Is disarming something I can do with enough raises on an Attack (Fencing) roll, or does it need a special skill?"

[7thsea] GM says, "That is an excellent question."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Or, actually: I don't need to disarm, just deflect."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "I just want to knock his gun arm aside so that when he inevitably fires, the shot goes wide."

[7thsea] GM asks, "So, leaping between the guard and Talbert?"

[7thsea] GM says, "I think if you come after him, he's going to use his held action to shoot first."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Possibly! But with the main intention of deflecting his shot so it doesn't hit anyone, not just trying to throw myself in front of the bullet."

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks (of GM), "So we can't act at the same time, so that I hit his hand/arm/gun at the same time as he fires?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "(I'm not strictly trying to hurt him; just to mess up his aim when he takes his interrupt action to shoot.)"

[7thsea] GM says, "I think you'd need to do an Interrupt action for that, not just take advantage of the held action."

[7thsea] GM says, "(i.e. spend an extra action yourself)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "OK! Then I'll use my two phase six actions to do that."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "OK!"

[7thsea] GM says, "And now let me figure out the TN ;-)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Is that Finesse + Attack (Fencing)?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Looks like a called shot to arms/legs is 2 raises."

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Makes sense. What does that make the total TN?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Normal TN is 10, so it would bump it to 20."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "...I should have taken some more raises :)"

[7thsea] GM says, "Yeah, that's higher than a 20 ;-)"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "So that's normal damage *and* you hit his pistol arm!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "Excellent!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Brawn + 2k2, right?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Yup!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Should I narrate the attack including him missing? Or does he still get to roll his attack, with a penalty?"

[7thsea] GM says, "I think the former; a 41 is really good ;-)"

[7thsea] GM says, "Also:"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "And I'm holding my phase four die for now."

[7thsea] GM says, "Well, you now have to, since all the other 4's now go first."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Ha."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "So! Driver!"

[Crows-Nest] Johann says, "I like this system of initiative, it's more dynamic and the constant mixup means you're not stuck with your position for hours like in D&D"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert exclaims (at Johann), "I agree!"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "This game system seems obtuse when you read about it, but actually playing it is nice"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "Nice! I'm glad it's working."

[Crows-Nest] Johann exclaims, "I agree!"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "Free raise is what already?"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "I forgot"

[Crows-Nest] Johann says, "+5"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert asks, "to our roll?"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "can you tell the die to include a raise?"

[7thsea] GM says, "An extra 5. Also, you can use a different knack than Balance if you want/can justify it."

[7thsea] GM says, "I don't think you can."

[7thsea] GM says, "so just roll normally against an easier TN."

[Crows-Nest] DonMiguel says, "I think 7th Sea was part of the shift from old-skool lots-of-mechanics kind of games to the modern more free-flowing stuff. So it's kinda both of those things at once."

[7thsea] GM says, "(So, TN 27 for both of you)"

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "OK!"

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "And I'll spend a drama die!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "..."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "..."

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "Oh no!"

[7thsea] Johann says, "That's terrible"

[Crows-Nest] Johann says (to ly), "funny"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "hahaha"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Oh, I need to roll too, don't I?"

[7thsea] GM says, "(Man, I remember as a player this happening far too often)"

[7thsea] GM exclaims (at Don), "You do!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "This was Balance + Finesse?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Just enough!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "Woo!"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert asks, "So I roll off the back? Where do I fall?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "And Talbert is about to fall off the back unless someone wants to give him another drama die or something!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "I'm glad I spent that one summer on that ship!"

[Crows-Nest] Johann exclaims, "I will!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "I will give him a d-- OK!"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert asks, "I guess the spurs of my boots save me somehow?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims (at Talbert), "Sure! rp!"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "/end rp"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "Can't we see the priest?"

[7thsea] GM says (to Johann), "You've fallen; the window is too high up."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "That, I think, would hit me."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says (to Johann), "He didn't mean you fell off the MUD."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "22 flesh wounds!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Wound check is straight Brawn k Brawn?"

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "eep!"

[7thsea] GM says, "Yup."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "So you take a dramatic wound! But your flesh wounds then are reset to zero. rp!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "And if I miss by ten or more, I take an extra dramatic wound?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Oh, I only take one? OK."

[7thsea] GM says, "No, that's only for pistol wounds."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Phew."

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "Thank goodness we don't have automatic pistols in this universe"

[7thsea] GM asks, "(for normal weapons, you have to miss by, uh, 15? 20?"

[7thsea] GM says, "(20!)"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "So, the end of phase 4! Don!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "His TN is normally 10, you said? So I'm going to take some raises."

[7thsea] GM says, "Correct."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Two of them."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "So, TN 20!"

[7thsea] GM says, "(and both == an unkept damage die?)"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Holy crap. That's a hit, I guess!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "I should have taken more!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "(2 raises + Brawn 2 + 2k2 sword damage.)"

[7thsea] GM says, "Argh, how many flesh wounds did you give him last time? Forgot to write that down."

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "4 flesh wounds, one for each limb :D"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "20"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "So, TN 36!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "(And he rolled a 22 on his wound check.)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "And he misses by more than 20!"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Which is two dramatic wounds!"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "He's still up, but very hurt!"

[7thsea] GM says, "rp, and then it's phase 6 for Johann and then the priest."

[7thsea] Johann asks, "What material was the window between us and the priest?"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "Vibranium"

[7thsea] GM says, "It's open and barred."

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "For some reason, I'm imagining Johann as Major Alex Louis Armstrong from Fullmetal Alchemist (the manga)"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "my idle brain up to its old tricks"

[Crows-Nest] Johann says, "That was indeed one of the inspirations"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert exclaims, "yay!"

[7thsea] Johann says, "I'll try and kick the door again so Mari and I can jump out"

[7thsea] GM says, "Sounds good! You get up from the floor and can do another pugilism attack! Let's do it correctly this time: first a kick+Finesse attack vs. TN 10, then brawn k2 damage."

[7thsea] GM says, "(if you don't have Kick, it's straight finesse)"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "Ah well, I don't have that knack. What if I try to ram it open with my shoulder?"

[7thsea] Johann says, "(while holding Mari so we can tumble out dramatically?)"

[7thsea] GM says, "You can still use the knack, just at zero."

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "Ok!"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "A success! You hit the door in a good place!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "By the way, does anyone in our team have any particular skill at driving a carriage?"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "I have Ride"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "And with your previous attack, that's not enough! It flies open!"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "which brings us to phase 7: Talbert!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Right, right"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "I'd like to move towards the driver of the carriage."

[7thsea] GM asks, "Over the top or around the side?"

[7thsea] GM says, "(the former involves trying to make it past the swordfight on the roof)"

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "The former sounds more exciting and reckless!"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "How will this work?"

[7thsea] GM says, "I have to make something up ;-)"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Ok!"

[7thsea] GM says, "Let's say that it's basically hazardous terrain, and that you have to make it past vs. a TN of 20 to avoid getting stabbed, either accidentally or on purpose, by the fighters. Balance/finesse would work, or maybe stealth? Or something else in accordance with the manner in which you attempt your movement ;-)"

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "I like the idea of tiptoeing nimbly past, so Stealth/Finesse it is!"

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "And I beat the TN!"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "Is that my full action?"

[7thsea] GM says, "You succeed! rp, and at the end of it you're on or at the bench with the driver, no longer in danger of being knocked over."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Nice"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "And I guess that's my turn?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Nice line."

[7thsea] GM says, "8 is the guard/driver again for their last actions of the round. The driver is startled by the appearance of Talbert, and holds his action to defend against whatever he might do. The guard attacks Don with his sword, slightly annoyed that he didn't get a stab in at Talbert as he snuck by."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "which is a hit!"

[7thsea] GM says, "Man, more explosions."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "24 flesh wounds!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "The SFX budget for this game is ridiculous"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Two dramatic wounds -- are you crippled when you your wounds equal your resolve or when they exceed it?"

[7thsea] GM asks, "Equal to. Which means your dice don't explode, I think?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "I believe you are correct. (Do drama dice still explode?)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Hmm. I do have three drama dice left."

[7thsea] GM says, "Which it looks like you can do with 'noexplode 5k3' or whatever. And yes, drama dice still explode."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Thinking about whether I want to use them on this wound check."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Yeah, I do."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "15"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "23. Sheesh."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "And I make it! Leaving me with one dramatic wound and 24 flesh wounds."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "(And no drama dice.)"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "do flesh wounds do anything?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says (to Johann), "They're kinda like stress boxes."

[7thsea] GM says, "They go away at the end of the scene, but they are included if he gets hit again."

[7thsea] GM says, "So if he gets hit for one more flesh wound, he then has to do a brawn check vs. 25."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Yup."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "So I should try not to do that."

[7thsea] Johann says, "Don't get hit, noted."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Which brings us to phase 9: Johann!"

[7thsea] GM says, "(but after you take a dramatic wound, your flesh wounds are reset to zero.)"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "Is there some system here for intimidating people? And is that done in combat?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "There is indeed a system for intimidating people!"

[7thsea] GM says, "Let me see."

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Page 193, I think?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Looks like Intimidate is a resolve vs. resolve check."

[7thsea] Johann says, "enh"

[7thsea] GM says, "And can be affected by reputation, but you don't have any of that yet."

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "And I climb onto the carriage, too!"

[7thsea] GM says, "You'll have to either break open the door again, or unwind the cord the Priest put there."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "just punch the priest"

[Crows-Nest] DonMiguel wonders if a priest makes a good improvised weapon.

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says, "hahaha"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "I thought I had opened the door to the outside?"

[7thsea] GM says, "You opened the door to the Priest's part of the carriage."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "We opened the door to the outside; you opened the inside door; the preist re-closed the door to the outside."

[7thsea] GM says, "The outside door lock was acid'ed off earlier, and now jury-rigged closed by the priest again."

[7thsea] GM says, "closed doors: very very dramatic."

[7thsea] Johann asks, "But if he wrapped the cord around the outside door, how did he wrap cord around the inside door?"

[7thsea] GM says, "He only wrapped it around the door to the outside, but on the inside of it."

[7thsea] Johann asks, "And then how is the inside door I break open locked?"

[Crows-Nest] Johann exclaims, "His 1 Wits is rubbing off on me!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "The inside door is open."

[Crows-Nest] Johann | You'll have to either break open the door again, or unwind the cord the Priest put there.

[7thsea] GM says, "Hee hee. OK, let me draw up something."

[7thsea] Johann says, "Hee. Thanks (and sorry)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "I was just starting to draw https://jamboard.google.com/d/1SmKP1ccI_C-hh91XZVABoK8Aitic8hCAy45Ucr6-Opo/edit?usp=sharing"

[7thsea] GM says, "That's it! Thanks."

[7thsea] Johann asks, "So... why can't I get through to broken door and grab the priest?"

[7thsea] GM says, "I am super annoyed at jamboard for not letting me make very thin boxes. I mean, wtf."

[7thsea] GM asks, "You can! You said you wanted to climb up on the roof, I thought?"

[7thsea] Johann says, "Oh! Oh. I see. I was picturing it wrong."

[Crows-Nest] DonMiguel says, "And I assume that's a self-portrait of Talbert on the right."

[7thsea] Johann says, "(And remove the cords, or maybe that's next turn.)"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert says (to Johann), "Correct, although Talbert draws better than I do"

[Crows-Nest] Talbert exclaims, "and can also draw his rapier as well!"

[7thsea] GM says (to Johann), "You can either just take the wound, or try to dodge around it or something."

[7thsea] GM says, "He doesn't look super strong."

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "I will dodge around it!"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "Is that footwork?"

[7thsea] GM says, "OK! Let's see. Sure, why not. footwork/finesse."

[7thsea] Johann says, "Is Footwork one of those knacks that's specific? because I got it for Pugilist and Athlete."

[7thsea] GM says, "It is not! If you have it from both, you have a 2 in it."

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "Neat!"

[7thsea] GM says, "(plus anything you spent)"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "You easily dodge around the stab, and snatch the box! rp!"

[7thsea] Johann says, "Unless that's happening next turn :-)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "Woo!"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Meanwhile phase 10 is Talbert, vs. the driver with a held action!"

[7thsea] GM says, "(and yeah, you can put it on this round.)"

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "He'll snap half of Theah back into existence!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "So anyway"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Taking control of the carriage, hm."

[7thsea] Johann says, "I'll snap a certain priest out of existence first"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "good call"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "Taking the reins from the carriage driver, what would that be?"

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "And could I throttle him with the reins once I had them?"

[7thsea] GM says, "Hmm, let's see."

[7thsea] GM says, "I think it'd be like Jota's earlier disarm attempt, i.e. a +10 to an attack TN."

[7thsea] GM says, "The Driver's TN is currently 15, so it'd bump up to a 25."

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "I see!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "And the relevant Knack would be... well, just Attack (Dirty Fighting) again I guess"

[7thsea] GM says, "Yeah, I think that makes sense."

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "passed!"

[7thsea] GM asks (of Don), "Do you remember how many drama dice the GM gets?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "I don't, but I think you get the dice we spend."

[7thsea] inky says, "I think you start with one per player plus one"

[7thsea] inky says, "but that is a very vague memory"

[7thsea] GM says, "OK, I was thinking of spending drama dice on the driver's active defense, but I have a better idea:"

[7thsea] Johann says, "Hah, surprise inky"

[7thsea] GM asks (of Talbert), "Would you like a drama die for attacking Recklessly and missing?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "183: highest trait in the part plus the number of members in the party."

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "How long would such a die last?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Until you spend it!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Nice"

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "I'll take it!"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "And that's the end of the round!"

[7thsea] GM says, "And before the beginning of the round:"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Do any of them resemble Felipe or Floriana?"

[7thsea] GM says, "And I wanted this part of things to have the complication that neither you nor the guards wanted them to notice anything going on, but I couldn't think of a great excuse, so instead I'm offering a drama die to the best explanation ;-)"

[7thsea] Johann says, "If she's the cat that's one hell of a disguise"

[7thsea] GM says, "(And you recognize the people as being from La Reina)"

[7thsea] Johann asks, "Explanation for what exactly?"

[7thsea] Talbert says (to Johann), "A Cold War spy once successfully disguised themselves as a St Bernards', look it up"

[7thsea] GM says, "Explanation of why neither group wants them to realize you all are fighting."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Thinking..."

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Do we or the guards know who they are, aside from just being some local bystanders?"

[7thsea] GM says, "You definitely do! The guards could if it made a difference."

[7thsea] Johann says, "This kidnapping isn't exactly Inquisition approved, and more the priest showing Initiative, so if word gets out the carriage was attacked..."

[7thsea] GM says, "(The guards have obviously disguised the carriage so people don't know it's a makeshift prison)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "So possibly the Inquisition wanted this whole prisoner transport thing to be a secret, so that no one would know where the prisoners were being taken. So it might be in their interests to look like just a normal private coach with nothing special about it."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "And if these people realize what's going on, then they might become the Inquisition's next targets, to keep them quiet."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Which would be something *we* would want to avoid happening."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Oh, I like it. Drama dice to Don and Johann!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "Woo!"

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "Woo!"

[7thsea] Johann says, "Talbert is probably still typing :-)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Hee."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "nah"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "couldn't come up with anything"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "besides 'the cat is a Fate Witch'"

[7thsea] GM says, "And we're at our time, so let's pick up from here next time? And we can find out Penelope's part of The Plan."

[7thsea] Johann says, "Oooh"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Oho."

[7thsea] Johann asks, "Have you heard from her?"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "On Discord!"

[7thsea] GM says, "(sleep/baby)"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "I need to make sure to remember my wounds for next time."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Speaking of next time"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "looks like December 4th is possible, but what about Sunday 28th (maybe shortened because Talesleep)"

[7thsea] Johann says, "I bet some LOSERS still haven't filled out their availiability. Such irresponsibility! What are these people thinking."

[7thsea] GM says (to Tale), "Will two weeks from now work for you? Next week is Thanksgiving here, and we have guests, so I'm out."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "It'll work for me"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "just need to fill it in"

[7thsea] Johann says, "Dec 4th works for me."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "I can do Sunday November 28."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "Oh, but the GM can't."

[7thsea] GM says, "I think we'll still have guests on the 28th, so let's go for the 4th, assuming gg is good then."

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "She put a 'yes' on the schedule."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Indeed, but we should also check with her on Discord"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "And I just added December to it, so people can start filling that in too."

[7thsea] Johann says, "December is generally not a good time for me, er time-wise"

[7thsea] GM says, "Yeah, with the holidays there might not be a lot of time; we're out of town for at least part of it."

[7thsea] GM says, "But hey, let's find out."

[7thsea] Talbert asks (of Johann), "But is the 4th early enough in December for it to be okayish?"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "for you I mean"

[7thsea] DonMiguel | [7thsea] Johann says, "Dec 4th works for me."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "ah whoops"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "I missed that part"

[7thsea] DonMiguel asks, "Do drama dice refresh per session, or just per story?"

[7thsea] GM says, "It's supposed to be per session, but I should also be better about actually finishing a single scene before the end of the entire session ;-)"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "it's okay, I and Johann were learning how to play this"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "which slowed us down a little"

[7thsea] Talbert exclaims, "a fun session though!"

[7thsea] GM says, "But hey, things are changing some with the bystanders, so let's just say you get your drama dice again."

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "Good!"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims, "Indeed!"

[7thsea] Johann says, "Yeah, I feel I have a grasp on stuff"

[7thsea] DonMiguel exclaims (at GM), "Yay!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Woohoo"

[7thsea] Johann exclaims, "Nice!"

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Thanks for the game, and see you next time for more swashing of buckles! And kicking priests in the face/arse/etc"

[7thsea] Johann exclaims (at gm), "Thanks so much!"

[7thsea] GM says (to Jota), "Also, I looked up old transcripts and it looks like we just kept track of init by hand, but it might be nice to have a MUD object to help keep track. The existing one doesn't quite work because of the spending future actions and ties-go-to-the-person-with-higher-total thing."

[7thsea] GM says, "You're welcome! I'm glad it worked."

[7thsea] Talbert asks, "Oh no, now Jota will be devoting the next two weeks to coding a new init counter! However will he survive?"

[7thsea] DonMiguel says, "I've been keeping a text file open in another window. Which feels like what I remember doing back then."

[7thsea] GM says, "Heh, yup."

[7thsea] Talbert says, "Anyhow... goofnight, friendly people and people-y friends"

[7thsea] GM exclaims, "I wrote things down on actual paper!"
