[Numenera] Bert says, "Log on."
Peregrine has left.
Peregrine has arrived.
Molly has arrived.
Grav has arrived.
[Numenera] Molly says, "So, previously on Numenera: a three-way split."
GM exclaims, "Greetings!"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Also, jellyfish babyphone."
Catrina says, "Heya GM"
Molly asks (of GM), "Feeling better again?"
GM says, "I am! Thanks."
Molly says, "Yay"
Aledonne says, "Woo."
GM says, "I feel very slightly off, but I think that might just be quarantine getting to me."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "numenera01-04.html is the temporarly location of last week's transcript."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "(It's my fault that it wasn't in the usual place.)"
[Numenera] GM exclaims (at Aledonne), "Thanks!"
GM says, "Here's my recap of the basics:"
[Numenera] Aledonne exclaims, "Also, if anyone can think of a good title for the last session, let me know!"
GM | Glissandra told Molly that her 'babies' in the Effulgent Hills were in danger. You managed to convince her that if you went, that was basically the same as her going, and that way she wouldn't get shot by the crazy gun the Green Knights had put together.
GM | Speaking of: The Green Knights are the group that hired Thill/Quintan to 'kill or disable Glissandra', and when that didn't happen, they hired Catrina to follow up. You went to the town near the Effulgent Hills where Catrina had been hired, found out that several new buildings had been built there in the past year or so, and Catrina checked in with the guy who hired her.
GM | After that, you went to the Hills, and saw some towers that seemed to be transmitting songs from the Effulgent Hills up Mount Rambinaas for an unknown purpose. Aledonne and Grav managed to sneak up to the edge of the city where there was a water wheel. Grav stopped up the viscous 'water', Aledonne snuck in to find a speeding-up machine that used to be pulling in the liquid, which he managed to slow down againbut only by getting into an even more awkward position where he can't easily escape.
[Crows-Nest] Catrina says (to Aledonne), "The Machine Stops"
GM asks, "And Molly and Catrina were chatting with the guard, I think?"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "When it's my turn, can you describe the awkward position in a bit more detail? I don't think I have a fully clear mental image of it."
[Crows-Nest] Catrina says, "Nightmare at 20 Feet"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "(No rush, if someone else's turn comes first.)"
[Crows-Nest] Aledonne says, "Good, good. I figure I'll pass all the suggestions to Tale and let him choose the one he likes best when he uploads it."
[Numenera] GM says, "Hmm, webwhiteboard seems to be sign in only."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Oh no, they've been bought out. That sucks."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "I mean, I guess it's nice for them, since they presumably got some buckets of cash. But unfortunate for the rest of us."
[Numenera] Molly asks, "Is the end of an era or the beginning of an error?"
[Numenera] Molly says, "*this"
[Numenera] GM says, "OK, try this: https://miro.com/welcomeonboard/3ciQmeo7UFbn7eR5S6vl4Ocs5D4G7TmZjJBONyAbGXtE0PQ3hQQRuuRPmhjkon38"
[Numenera] Molly asks, "Should I create an account?"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Ah, I can use FB"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "It's asking to sign in."
[Numenera] Molly says, "blerp, doesn't work with FB"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "(I'm creating an account...)"
[Numenera] Molly says, "ah using my Google account worked"
[Numenera] Molly says, "I'm in"
[Numenera] Molly says, "oh goodness me this is very hightech"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "I am too."
[Numenera] GM says, "Heh."
[Numenera] Molly exclaims, "Note the falcon which constitutes my Google identity!"
[Numenera] Aledonne declines to watch the three minute video.
[Numenera] Molly says, "wie"
[Numenera] Molly says, "*wise"
[Numenera] Aledonne will let lps place him in the appropriate spot.
[Numenera] GM asks, "OK! So, the 'A' in a circle is Aledonne, the 'gra' outside is grav, and the 'G' inside is the guard. Except I think there's two guards?"
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "So the driver is the mechanism that turns the wheel -- is the hopper where the wheel was dumping the 'water' into?"
[Numenera] GM says, "Exactly."
[Numenera] GM says, "And you came up into here from the other side of the wheel."
[Numenera] GM says, "There's not really a gap on this side."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "And there's presumably some machinery that the hopper is attached to -- how well can I see that machinery from here?"
[Numenera] GM says, "Not great, but you can see that there's a cable going out, at least."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "And I'm guessing that I can't see the guards from here, and vice versa, at the moment?"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "Right!"
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "But I can hear them, so I know roughly where they are?"
[Numenera] GM says, "Correct."
Molly sets their current fate point total to 2.
[Numenera] GM says, "That was probably overkill for the situation, but hey, testing out a new system ;-)"
[Numenera] GM says, "(and yeah, everyone can reset their fate points, if you're not already over your refresh."
[Numenera] GM says, ")"
Aledonne attempts to craft a knock-out bomb -- a vial that, once thrown, will spew out a gas that will make people who are too close to it drowsy and (hopefully) fall unconscious.
Aledonne sets his current fate point total to 3.
GM sets his current fate point total to 4.
[Numenera] GM says, "(I think I get 4? One per character?)"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Yup. Per scene."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Hmm. Given that I intend to throw the vial at the guards as soon as I've finished making it, should that be combined into one single Crafting roll opposed by their attempt to resist the gas?"
[Numenera] GM says, "OK! I'm going to go with my cost-per-TN thing: it costs 2 to make it before the guy comes around the corner and sees you; another 2 to be silent while doing it, and 4 for the bomb itself. If you don't get an 8, you can pick and choose what you do accomplish."
[Numenera] Aledonne exclaims, "OK!"
Aledonne rolls Epic (7) + 4dF: -1 0 -1 -1 | Great (4)
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Ha ha oof."
[Numenera] Aledonne checks the aspect list to see if there's anything left over from last time.

[Numenera] Aledonne says, "There is a Distracted Guard -- but I don't remember which guard that is."
[Numenera] GM says, "Oh, I think that's the one that Catrina was chatting with."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "OK."
[Numenera] GM says, "So you could make it into the building unnoticed."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Then I'm going to tag Itinerant Alchemist to re-roll."
Aledonne spends a fate point, leaving him with 2.
Aledonne rolls Epic (7) + 4dF: +1 0 -1 0 | Epic (7)
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Much better! I want to complete the bomb and do so before he comes around the corner."
[Numenera] Catrina says, "while swearing loudly"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "I won't be silent, but hopefully that won't matter if I can succeed at knocking him out before he raises an alarm."
Aledonne rattles his glass vials as he rushes to combined the reagents into a popping, fizzing, hissing concoction.
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "Sounds good!"
Aledonne, as soon as it's ready, throws it at where he hears the guard's footsteps coming from!
Guard1 says, "Woah, what? What's going on? Dainya, do you hear..."
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "OK! Shoot, TN 5!"
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Any chance that Athletics might apply?"
[Numenera] GM says, "Hmm, let's see."
[Numenera] GM asks, "Maybe Athletics could be 'far enough that it doesn't hit you, but the guard gets an easier TN'?"
[Numenera] Aledonne exclaims, "OK!"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "(I'm going to fail anyway, but it's more exciting when I've got some chance :) )"
Aledonne rolls Good (3) + 4dF: +1 -1 0 +1 | Great (4)
[Numenera] GM says, "so, TN 3 for 'away from you', then the guard will roll with a +2."
[Numenera] Aledonne exclaims, "I beat a TN 3!"
Guard1 rolls Good (3) + 4dF: -1 +1 -1 +1 | Good (3)
[Numenera] Guard1, with his +2, also manages to avoid the explosion!
Guard1 exclaims, "Aaaaaaah!"
Guard1 stumbles backwards out the door, coughing.
Aledonne hurls the vial into the middle of the room! Glass breaks, and an orange smoke begins to fill the area.
Catrina says, "I know this song."
Catrina stabs the Distracted Guard.
Aledonne covers his face with his sleeve and ventures a look around the driver mechanism.
[Numenera] Molly asks, "Is this initiative?"
[Numenera] GM says, "OK! Surprise attack from Catrina, and then let's do initiative."
Gate_guard turns to the sound of something going on in the village.
Gate_guard says, "What the..."
Catrina rolls Superb (5) + 4dF: +1 +1 0 -1 | Fantastic (6)
Gate_guard rolls Good (3) + 4dF: 0 0 0 -1 | Fair (2)
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "That's a success with style!"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "I'm attacking G2 I think"
[Numenera] GM says, "You're actually a bit further away; sorry."
[Numenera] GM says, "G2 was in the guardhouse a second ago."
[Numenera] GM says, "(as was G)"
[Numenera] GM says, "Maybe I should make a village-level map? Enh, I'll just say 'you're three zones away' for now."
[Numenera] GM says (to Catrina), "So, you can either claim a boost, or inflict 4 stress. You can also tag Distracted Guard, if you want."
[Numenera] GM says, "(er, boost plus some stress)"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "hrm I'm good with laying 4 stress on the target"
[Numenera] GM says, "Right; you can spend one stress to get a boost instead."
[Numenera] GM slowly remembers the rules.
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "but! 4 stress it is!"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "Giving a consequence and some stress to the guard!"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "Everyone roll Notice for initiative!"
[Numenera] GM says, "All the guards/people:"

[Numenera] Aledonne exclaims, "I think so!"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "I don't see Molly now"
[Numenera] Molly says, "oops"
[Numenera] GM says, "Molly is near Catrina, I think."
Gate_guard backs up towards the gate, and attempts to hit a button.
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "That's the one who just got stabbed?"
[Numenera] GM says, "And I think Catrina/Molly are near enough to try to oppose, if you want."
[Numenera] GM says, "Right."
[Numenera] Molly exclaims, "It's nabbin' toime!"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "I am opposed to this sort of thing"

coughing_guard retreats out of the wheelhouse and slams the door, stopping the gas from spreading further!
[Numenera] Catrina says (to Molly), "feel free to use his Stabbed"
[Numenera] Molly exclaims, "If that does damage, I shall!"
[Setting the zoned flag.]
[Numenera] Molly says, "If not, then not."
[Numenera] Molly says, "(I suspect it just stops him from pushing buttons)"
Dainya runs to the tower!
[Numenera] GM says, "Yeah, that was just to stop him."
[Crows-Nest] Molly says, "DIE DAINYA DIE"
[Numenera] GM says, "And I'm gonig to put Closed Wheelhouse Door as an aspect for the guards."
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "And it's your turn!"
Aledonne looks around the driver mechanism to see what else is going on in the wheelhouse.
[Numenera] GM says, "Investigate or Lore:Tech! TN 3 to avoid the gas; everything above that gives you one fact/point."
[Numenera] GM says, "(unless you want to do something like Create Advantage)"
[Numenera] Aledonne exclaims, "Lore: Tech!"

[Crows-Nest] Catrina says, "well that's just Great"
GM says (to Aledonne), "The structure and mechanisms of the hopper are very much like other energy conversion mechanisms you've seen before; like, when someone has electricity but wants heat, or if you have acid and want pressure. It's converting something in the liquid to something else it can transmit down the wire."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Oho! Interesting."
[Numenera] GM asks, "Who wants to go next?"
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Can I use my movement to return to Grav?"
[Numenera] GM says, "Oh! Yeah, basically--one zone will get you underneath the wheelhouse again."
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "Grav/Catrina/Molly!"
Aledonne climbs back down under the wheelhouse and tells Grav what he saw.
[Numenera] Catrina says, "I'll go"

Grav will try to push that guard into the wall with his shields.
[Crows-Nest] Molly says (to GM), "stop shipping our characters lol"
[Numenera] GM asks, "The one near the wheelhouse?"
[Numenera] Grav says, "yes"
[Numenera] GM asks, "Do you want a Create Advantage, or are you going for a different effect?"

[Crows-Nest] Molly exclaims, "So, the gate guard is dead. Time to charge forth and tackle the other guard!"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Except, on this channel."
[Numenera] GM asks (of Molly), "She's a few zones away; are you charging the tower?"
[Numenera] GM asks, "Or using Shoot or something?"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Charging the tower, yup"
[Numenera] GM says, "OK, you can make it to the tower with your action plus your movement."
[Numenera] Molly exclaims, "OK!"
Molly runs like a lumbering elk.
[Crows-Nest] Molly says, "I mean, e'elque"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "And that's the end of the round!"
[Numenera] GM says, "The only other thing that happens is that Aledonne knows that the gas cloud has expanded to fill the entire wheelhouse at this point."
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "And it's their turn!"
GM exclaims, "You hear a rattling from inside the tower, and suddenly a siren goes off: WHOOOOOEET WHOOOOOOEET WHOOOOOOOOEET!"
[Numenera] Catrina asks, "The gatehouse is a gate in a big fence that surrounds the compound (but not pictured), right? Or am I misremembering?"

GM says, "In response to the siren, you hear a *lot* of activity from the surrounding buildings."
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "And now it's your turn again!"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "ach, he cannae take much more"
[Numenera] Aledonne asks (of Grav), "OOC question: are you interested in going into the wheelhouse, or are you just as happy to stay out here?"
[Numenera] GM says, "(the wheelhouse guard stuggles ineffectively against Grav's field)"
[Numenera] Aledonne asks (of GM), "Also, OOC question: can I see if the cable extends out of the wheelhouse and, if so, where it goes?"
[Numenera] GM says, "That sounds like an IC question ;-)"
[Numenera] Grav says, "I will go into the wheelhouse to break stuff"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Hee. I mean that that Aledonne is not shouting this question out to the gods in character."
Aledonne rips pieces off of his sleeve and douses them in chemicals, trying to blend up an 'antidote' to the knockout gas, so that he and Grav can wrap the treated cloth around their faces and breathe through it.
[Numenera] GM says, "Yeah, I think you can see without the aid of a roll that the cable goes from the wheelhouse to the tower."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "If it's too much to create masks for both of us, then I'll just make one for Grav."
[Numenera] GM says, "TN 3 for one mask; success with style will make you two."
[Crows-Nest] Catrina says, "billion years of technology, still can't figure out wireless"

Aledonne also uses his movement to go back in.
[Numenera] GM says, "Let's say that's an overcome."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Yeah."
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "OK! You are back inside, protected from your own knockout gas!"
[Numenera] Aledonne exclaims, "Woo!"
[Numenera] GM asks, "Grav! Movement to go inside; what do you want to do in there?"
Grav will investigate the best way to break it
[Crows-Nest] Molly says, "Grav Bindle, demolition specialist"
[Numenera] GM says, "Let's say this is an Overcome, TN 4."
Grav rolls Great (4) + 4dF: +1 0 0 0 | Superb (5)
[Crows-Nest] Catrina says, "we shall overcome"
[Crows-Nest] Molly says, "He's a Bindle of joy"
[Crows-Nest] Catrina says, "he always seemed kinda lax to me"
GM says (to Grav), "Carefully wearing your mask, you look over the various mechanisms inside. The wheel itself is a very straightforward thing; you could break it easily, but it could be repaired (or rebuilt) easily, too. The hopper seems to have the most sensitive parts that would be the hardest to replace, and when you tip it over to look underneath, you find a panel that you pop open. Inside are three circuit board-like things that seem to be at the heart of the conversion."
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "And we move to Molly!"
[Numenera] GM says, "You are outside the base of the tower at a closed door, with someone shooting you from up above."
[Crows-Nest] Molly says, "I'm going to break down the door and get up to that sniper"
[Numenera] GM says, "You can hear activity inside the tower, too."
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "Smash door! TN 4!"
Molly rolls Great (4) + 4dF: 0 +1 +1 +1 | Epic (7)
Molly pummels down the door!
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "You get a boost!"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Pumped With Adrenaline"
[Crows-Nest] Catrina says, "okay looks like you guys got this one"
[Numenera] Molly asks, "Can I now enter the tower?"
GM says (to Molly), "inside, you see a handful of people, a couple of whom have guns and one of whom has a toolbox. There's a staircase up to the roof."
[Numenera] GM says, "You can use your movement to get up the stairs; it'll be opposed by the gun-weilding people."
[Numenera] Molly says, "OK! Also, I have a question:"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "OK!"
[Numenera] Molly asks, "does it take a whole action to activate a cypher?"
[Numenera] GM says, "Hmm, that's a good question."
[Numenera] GM says, "I think normally a cypher can be used to augment a normal action."
[Numenera] GM says, "(or a movement action, I guess)"
[Numenera] GM says, "Or it can just be the action you're doing, depending on the cypher."
[Numenera] Molly asks, "So, if while running I twist an egg to activate a Harassing Companion that distracts the people shooting at me, would that make sense?"
[Numenera] GM says, "As part of your movement against their opposition? Sure, that sounds fine."
[Numenera] Molly says, "(I guess it only harasses a single target, but that should still make it harder for them to stop me)"
Molly runs forth, intending to go up the staircase! She draws an egg-shaped object from inside her coat and twists it...
[Crows-Nest] Catrina says, "Mostly it humps people's legs"
[Numenera] GM says, "Let's say that this distracts them enough that you made it past unopposed."
[Numenera] Molly exclaims, "Yay!"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "That does seem thematically appropriate."
[Numenera] GM says, "And also, they are now Harassed! Which you can add to the sheet."
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "rp dashing up the stairs, and then Catrina!"
Molly chuckles as the harassing robot thingy buzzes around the heads of her opponents, and effortless makes it up the stairs unhindered while the guards try to swat the thing away.
[Numenera] Molly exclaims, "Catrina's turn!"
Catrina dashes into the gatehouse, shuts and/or locks the door behind her, then dashes into cover towards the tower (to that hut between them.)
[Numenera] GM asks, "That seems like unopposed actions to me, unless you want to make something into a Create Advantage?"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "Not really although my intention is to get over there without Room Full of Gun Goons noticing me, so I could roll something sneakish I guess"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "but they've kind of got enough going on in there probably"
[Numenera] GM says, "If you want to try, then yeah, a Stealth, TN 3. Otherwise, just put yourself near the house."
[Numenera] Catrina says, "I'll just be near house"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "OK! end of round!"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "(afk 5 min)"
[Numenera] GM asks, "And a little OOC thing here. Do you envision yourselves fighting the entire village? Doing some damage and escaping? Getting captured and finding out more information that way?"
[Numenera] GM says, "At this point, I can imagine activating Molly's 'unnecessary risks' and giving her a fate point to be captured, and the rest of you can hide out and follow, for example."
[Numenera] Molly says, "Molly is perfectly willing to fight the whole village, because she's daft that way"
[Numenera] GM says, "But smashnig a thing and leaping to freedom also works."
[Numenera] Grav says, "doing damage then escaping"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "I envision myself trying to figure out their anti-Glissandra weapon to disable it."
[Numenera] Molly says, "I mean, the goal IS to save the babies"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Whatever it takes"
[Numenera] GM says (to Molly), "True! How does Molly interpet that? ;-)"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "At the moment, I'm unsure of whether the wheelhouse/tower business is part of their anti-Glissandra weapon or part of whatever evil scheme they're enacting against the babies."
[Numenera] GM says, "Got it."
[Numenera] GM asks (of Molly), "So, any preferences? Would Molly stay fighting and get captured?"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "(back)"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "OOC my expected plan is to turn off the machine or reverse its polarity, blowing everything up, running away"
[Numenera] Molly says (to GM), "She would definitely keep fighting, yeaj"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "if there's a big dam or something upstream then blowing that up and flooding the entire valley and village is also good with me"
[Numenera] GM says, "Heh."
[Numenera] GM says, "OK! So we'll deal with the guards and Molly in a second; in the meantime, let's turn to Grav and Aledonne."
GM says (to Aledonne), "Grav found the panel with the boards inside."
[Numenera] Catrina asks, "also ooc when's your deadline for today, GM?"
[Numenera] GM says, "2:10 from now."
Aledonne pulls out the circuit board to analyze it, to figure out what exactly this thing is for -- Grav can take care of the rest of the machinery in his own way.
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "I'm thinking, Overcome with Lore:Tech to figure out what this whole wheelhouse/tower mechanism is for, based on the energy conversion being used to feed it?"
[Numenera] GM says (to Aledonne), "Sure. TN 2, since you've already figured other stuff out about this."
Aledonne rolls Great (4) + 4dF: +1 +1 +1 +1 | Legendary (8)
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Sure, I think I can hit that."
[Numenera] Catrina says, "that might just work"
[Numenera] Molly says, "This is an Eur'eka moment"
GM says (to Aledonne), "OK! You look at the circuit boards, and pull out your vial of liquid, examine the connections on the cable, and recall the transmissions you overheard last time, and suddenly, a complete picture forms in your head."
[Numenera] Molly exclaims (at Aledonne), "You reek!"
GM says, "The liquid is biological in nature, and must come from Glissandra herself. It contains the songs she collects over the course of her 17-year circuit, and it sustains and feeds her children (who must be under the hills?) while she's away."
Aledonne exclaims, "It's milk! It's Glissandra's milk! And they've been siphoning it off!"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "(Is there more to the infodump, about what it's being converted to be used as?)"
GM says, "The hopper is designed to filter out the song energy from the liquid, convert it to a different form of energy (one you're somewhat unfamiliar with) and pipes it to the tower. The tower then transmits it up the mountain to the next tower, etc. Based on what you've seen so far and power ratios, etc., you figure that the destination must be at the top of the mountain, where it's being used to power... something."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Is this the signal that we've jammed, for the time being?"
GM says, "As for the weapon, you haven't seen anything here at all that would even be a good place to mount it, based on Grav's description."
GM says, "Meanwhile, Grav:"
[Numenera] GM says, "(who I know has been typing on the other side of the room ;-)"
Grav will pull of the panel, then use his spray on armor inside the machine to create a large cube of the stuff inside the machine and then pull it out taking out bits of the wiring. Then put some button drones inside of the machine and have few on the outside then activate them all cutting machine to ribbens.
Aledonne exclaims, "Whatever they're using the stolen songs for, I think it's at the top of the mountain. That's where we need to go!"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Hee."
GM exclaims (at Grav), "The machine is utterly and totally destroyed!"
GM asks (of Aledonne), "Do you keep the circuit boards, or break them?"
Grav will keep it
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Let's keep them. They could be useful, or could lead to somethinh dramatic if they fall into the wrong hands."
Aledonne exclaims (at Grav), "Nice work!"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "OK!"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Either way, could be interesting."
GM says, "Meanwhile, Catrina watches as the streets fill with people! Many guard-types, but also just a lot of civilians, including some kids of various ages."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Oh, and we still have movement, right?"
[Numenera] GM says, "Yeah, you can slip back under the wheelhouse."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "OK, I'll do that, since I want to alert the others as soon as I can."
GM says, "Molly is a fighting whirlwind inside the tower, despite being completely surrounded by guards."
GM offers Molly a fate point for 'unnecessary risks'.
[Numenera] Molly says, "That's because I have a lot of things up my sleeve... like angry squi'rells :D"
[Numenera] GM says, "Ha."
[Numenera] GM asks, "Do you take the point?"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Yep"
[Numenera] GM asks, "OK! Are you OK with me narrating, or do you want to start it off?"
Molly gives a fate point to Molly.
[Numenera] Molly exclaims, "Former!"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Remember the speech impediment/accent, if you can manage :P"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Or just have me grunting a lot."
[Numenera] Catrina says, "drop you cat on the keyboard a few times"
GM says, "Molly lashes out right and left with her fists, hardly caring whether she is punching a guard or smashing something vaguely important-looking on the tower. The guard that shot her before shoots again and again, bathing her with electrical fields that she keeps shaking off. Finally, with the combined shots from no less than five guards (two of which have picked up weapons from their fallen companions), they finally manage to hit her just as Molly's fist smashes into a circuit board on the tower. The electricity arcs from the weapons to Molly to the Tower and back again, and the entire top of explodes in a shower of sparks, as Molly slumps to the ground, unconscious."
[Numenera] Molly says, "Epic."
[Numenera] GM says, "And the rest of you use the distraction to slip away and keep watch? You figure there are way too many guards out right now to mount an effective rescue, but if you wanted to join her, you could."
Catrina slips away in the confusion to regroup.
GM says, "OK! The village is a swarm of activity for quite some time."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Does that activity mean that they're too distracted to notice Cat, Grav and I joining up and chatting behind a building or somewhere?"
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Or does it mean the opposite, that there are eyes everywhere?"
[Numenera] GM says, "Definitely not *in* the village."
[Numenera] GM says, "Just outside should be OK, though they're on higher alert, since they know there were more than one of you."
[Numenera] GM asks, "How about a Molly scene from when she wakes up? Or do you want to do something outside first?"
Aledonne waves Catrina and Grav to a group of bushes just outside the village, where they can exchange what they've seen and learned.
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "I'm fine with our side just being an off-screen exchange of information."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "So we're all up to speed IC."
[Numenera] Catrina says, "yeah presumably we compare notes"
[Numenera] GM says, "Perfect."
[Numenera] GM says, "OK, Molly's scene, and then we'll figure out what you've been up to."
GM says (to Molly), "You wake up to see an old woman in a grey robe with a green stripe down the center peering at you. You seem to be tied to a chair; tightly, but reasonably comfortably, as these things go."
Molly stirs and awakens with the second-greatest hangover of her life.
Kotrya says (to Molly), "Ah, you wake."
Molly blinks. 'Wha? Who yer be, naoow? Mah heid!'
Kotrya says, "At first, I wondered: why are you here? But you're from Glissandra's village, aren't you? She noticed after all, I guess."
Kotrya says, "I am Kotrya, leader of the Green Nights."
[Numenera] Kotrya says, "(somehow, you finally realize that there's no 'K'.)"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Hee."
[Numenera] GM says, "You also realize that the grey with the green stripe is exactly the same shade of grey and green as the moon, on those nights when it has its green stripe."
Molly exclaims, "Darn reight Glitchy woz all in a huff bout all dis! Yer loonies!"
[Numenera] GM says, "(because in Numenera, the moon has a green stripe now. Sometimes.)"
Kotrya sighs.
[Numenera] Catrina says, "well sure"
Molly glares.
Kotrya asks, "It is Glissandra who fights a losing battle, I fear. These hills house nothing but lumps of flesh. Why should I not use the energy she provides to them, to lead my people back to our home?"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Better than a giant 'CHA...'"
[Numenera] Kotrya exclaims (at Ale), "Ha!"
Kotrya says, "But I knew she would never listen. So I tried to keep her away insted. It would be a shame to have to kill her."
Molly exclaims, "Yer killing her bairns! Ah could talk to her all I loike but thar wouldn't change a thang!"
Kotrya says, "I had hoped to siphon enough energy to allow our migration in a few phases, but you and your friends have stopped that from happening. So we're all going at once. And you're coming with us."
Kotrya exclaims (at Molly), "There are no 'bairns'!"
Kotrya says, "They'd be 'bairns' if there was another male of her kind around, to fertilize the eggs she laid."
Kotrya says, "But she is alone in the world."
Molly stammers, 'B- b- but... Ah cannae believe it...'
Molly says, "'Ow am Ah s'posed ter tell her that?'"
Kotrya peers at you inquisitively. "Hmm. She has a 'bridge', does she not? The bridge could listen, and see."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Plot hook for scenario two: find Glissandra a boyfriend."
Kotrya shrugs. "You can tell her what you like, after we depart. We have no quarrel with her. Just a desire to see her power not go to waste."
[Numenera] Molly sings, 'There's something about Glissandra/That they don't know...'
[Numenera] Kotrya says, "Ha."
Molly looks saddened by the prospect?
[Crows-Nest] Molly says, "Except without the question mark"
[Crows-Nest] Catrina says, "to the Moon, Alice"
Kotrya cocks her head, peering at Molly. "Hmmm..."
Kotrya pulls some powder from a satchel, and sprinkles it on Molly's head.
Kotrya looks again, intently.
[Crows-Nest] Molly asks, "Is this going to cure my speech quirk?"
Kotrya says, "You're the bridge! I thought she hadn't had one for some time."
[Crows-Nest] Aledonne says, "Just your dandruff."
[Crows-Nest] Kotrya exclaims, "Ha!"
Kotrya asks, "Aren't you too old?"
Molly says (to Kotrya), "Well, Ah'm also quoite tough too, yer ken. Ah couldn't let some tiny bairn risk it."
Kotrya says, "I'll assume that makes sense to you. At any rate, listen yourself. If you're the Bridge, you'd be able to hear the children."
[Numenera] Molly says, "wait..."
[Numenera] Molly says, "WAIT"
[Numenera] Kotrya asks, "?"
[Numenera] Molly asks, "What was really going on, then, when I was 'singing' to them?"
[Numenera] Kotrya says, "I...don't remember that scene."
[Numenera] Kotrya asks, "Unless you mean the tentacles?"
[Numenera] Molly says, "oh wait,"
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Was that Glissandra's singing to them that you were hearing?"
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "I.e., the song energy that the Nights were stealing from Glissandra's milk and then transmitting from the tower?"
[Numenera] Molly says, "yeah"
[Numenera] Aledonne (to GM) | GM says, "So! You all huddle around Aledonne's weird conglomeration of tubes and wires, with Catrina hanging out in the trees overhead. Aledonne fiddles with a knob, and suddenly you hear a cacophany of singing. After a second of adjusting, Aledonne realizes he can turn a knob and catch a different signal as well, that seems to consist of a series of beeps. "Oh, as the beeps increase in frequency, the signing speeds up, and when the beeps slow down, the singing slows down too. But after a slight delay," says Grav."
[Numenera] Kotrya says, "Ah: yes, that was it."
[Numenera] Molly says, "I guess I RPd it as if I was singing to them, but the effect was to disrupt the signal."
[Numenera] Molly says, "Oh, well."
[Numenera] Molly says, "For a moment there, I thought I'd caught Katrya lying."
Kotrya nods to some guards, and three of them come over to lift Molly and the chair, and follow Kotrya up the stairs to the outside roof of the tower again. Molly smiles with satisfaction to see the extent of the damage up here.
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Well, in theory she could prove it to you if she brought you directly to the eggs/babies/whatever, right?"
Kotrya gestures to the hills. "There they are. Each hill an unfertilized polyp."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "There must be some kind of feedback from them if Glissandra knew they were in danger."
[Numenera] Molly says, "True"
[Numenera] Molly says, "I need to be sure..."
[Numenera] Molly says, "...even if it means breaking my own mind."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "It's OK if you do. As long as your body is still intact, we can retrofit a new one onto it."
[Numenera] Molly says, "Haha."
[Numenera] Molly asks, "Anyway, shall I roll something to awaken some form of conscious sign of life?"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Or at least *try*"
[Numenera] Kotrya exclaims, "Yes!"
[Numenera] Kotrya says, "Whatever you use for your 'talk with animals' ability."
[Numenera] Kotrya says, "(Lore: bio? I forget.)"
[Crows-Nest] Molly says, "Also, I imagine the chair being on wheels, for the full Professor X experience"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Rapport"
[Numenera] Kotrya says, "Perfect."
Molly channels the power of a mother's love and reaches out with her mind. Surely they must be alive. Surely Katrya is mistaken... or is she?
Molly rolls Good (3) + 4dF: -1 +1 0 -1 | Fair (2)
[Numenera] GM says, "You can hear the basics with that, but this would be a Good Time to either succeed at a cost, or spend a fate point."
[Numenera] Molly says, "Spending a fate point! I'm a Motherly Mutant."
Molly spends a fate point, leaving them with 2.
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "OK!"
[Numenera] Molly says, "I can even spend more if needed. Glissandra's Sense of Self could be relevant."
GM says, "You reach out with your mind, and realize that, indeed, inside each hill is a polyp growing where Glissandra must have laid them. But while you can hear the faint sounds of your songs from the liquid flowing around the hills, the hills themselves are unresponsive. Each seems to be a sort of 'void', absorbing the songs, but not responding in any way."
GM says, "Except, wait..."
lone_voice, in the distance, seems to be humming along to the songs. "Deedle deedle doop doop. Doop deedle deedle. Hmm hmmm hmmmmmmmm doop!"
GM says, "It's late evening at this point, but as you peer out over the hills, the one voice seems to be coming from the hill inexplicably covered with purple and green marbled machinery."
Kotrya says, "You see? They're all silent."
[Crows-Nest] Catrina says, "how would Kotrya know this unless she was..."
[Numenera] GM says, "(It's your turn again, if you want to say something.)"
Molly slowly shakes her head. 'No. No, yer dead wrong. *Mostly* silent... 'cept fer one.'
Kotrya rolls her eyes. "Oh, come on. You're just hearing the echoes of the song itself. Anyway. It's time to go. You're coming with us, as secondary insurance that Glissandra doesn't attack, until we're gone. After that, you're free to go."
GM says (to others), "In the meantime, you've been watching the village and saw Molly being dragged up to the top of the tower. She seems to be OK, if restrained."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Seems or seemed? Are we able to see them right now?"
[Numenera] Molly says, "(You know, I'm sorely tempted to create an earthquake by singing to little Glissie)"
[Numenera] GM says, "You can see them right now, yeah."
Kotrya orders the guards to carry Molly back inside the tower, and turns to descend the stairs again.
Aledonne says, "We need to rescue her somehow."
Catrina says, "She may have important information."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "And there are a ton of guards, IIRC?"
GM says, "As you've been watching, the village seems to be packing up for a journey--there are wheeled carts and hover carts and animals and engines that people are stacking up their stuff on, and everyone's wearing warm clothes."
GM says (to Molly), "You catch a glimpse of something flashing in the bushes, and think it might be your friends."
[Numenera] GM says, "(if you wanted to try to get a message to them somehow before being carried off)"
Aledonne asks, "Should we try to break in now? Or... do you think they're going to take her with them? Maybe we should try to rescue her along the way?"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Hm, how to send a message..."
[Numenera] Molly says, "Oho."
Catrina says, "I'd like to know where everyone is going."
[Numenera] Molly asks, "This is a long shot... but could I order a squirrel to perform a set of *very* specific and harmless actions?"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Or an insect, or whatever"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "You could!"
[Numenera] Molly says, "I'm thinking of getting them to sketch a crude message in the dirt at the feet of my friends, or dancing in a pattern that can be read as a code they'd know"
[Numenera] GM says, "I think that would require a Rapport on your end, and an Empathy on the group's end."
[Numenera] Molly says, "A long shot... but worth it"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "I don't suppose there are ravens in these hills."
[Numenera] GM says, "Sure (or corvids of some sort, at least.)"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Dancing insects is funny but corvids are more practical"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "(I say this because ravens, like parrots, have a certain advantage over most animals...)"
[Numenera] GM says, "Ha."
[Numenera] Molly says, "So, hm. What specifically would make most sense here? (And then I'll roll for rapport)"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "(AFK again.)"
[Numenera] GM says, "OK! rp what you try to do, and Molly rolls a Rapport, and somone in the other group can roll Empathy (with assistance). You'll need a total of 9 between the two rolls."
[Numenera] GM says, "Probably reaching out to a corvid, who could at least say a couple words."
[Numenera] Molly says, "Yeah"
Grav has empathy at 3
[Numenera] GM asks, "Do Aledonne or Catrina have any Empathy they could use to assist?"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "I'm at +2 Empathy"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "I probably have bits of carrion about my person that I could feed it"
[Numenera] GM says, "So that can help, bumping it to a 4."
[Numenera] Molly says, "I like the fact that the people with empathy here are the hardboiled detective and the creepy assassin"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "OK! Molly, rp and roll!"
[Crows-Nest] Catrina says, "psst, hey, hey you -- the one with the nuts"

Grav looks at a bird. This bird proceeds to write a message.
Grav says, "look at the bird"
[Numenera] Molly says, "hehee"
Catrina says, "That's some bird."
Aledonne says, "Huh... is this from Molly? It must be."
Aledonne says, "If she wants us to go there rather than try to rescue her, then I suppose that's what we should do."
[Numenera] GM says, "So! What do you do? Molly is being bundled up into a group that is travelling up the mountain; the purple hill is in the distance, singing quietly to itself."
Catrina asks (of Aledonne), "You don't think it's both the same place?"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "I wanted to go into the mountains to find the other end of this chain of towers, but if Molly is telling us to go to the purple hill, then I think we should do what she said."
Aledonne exclaims, "Good point!"
Aledonne says, "We're a smaller group -- we can probably even get there before them."
Aledonne says, "Which would surely be to our advantage."
Catrina says, "That is a good plan"
Catrina asks, "Could we canoe the creek?"
[Crows-Nest] Molly says, "This is very much in character for Molly: putting the lives of children (jellyfish or otherwise) before her own"
Aledonne says, "Hmm. It shouldn't be too difficult to assemble a simple watercraft..."
[Numenera] GM says, "To be clear, the purple hill is one of the hills right here; the group seems to be travelling up the mountain."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "If the hill is right here, then lets just go straight to it, then."
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "OK!"
Catrina says, "Yes, let's."
GM says, "You head over to the purple hill, which turns out to be covered with purple-and-green marbled machinery over it. It seems to be very weathered, and has what might be a yellow rust on part of it, and blue lichen growing up the sides."
Aledonne surveys the machinery.

[Numenera] GM says, "* You've seen things sort of like this before, in areas where the Iron Wind has been through, transforming the countryside."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Does it seem to be operational? Like, is it doing anything?"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "(Iron Wind is, like, clouds of nanites, right?)"
[Numenera] GM says, "* Overall, the machinery has formed a hard shell over the hill, which you think would be a lot harder to break out of than if it was just dirt."
[Numenera] GM says, "Yeah, that's what the iron wind is. And let's say you can declare what two random functions of parts of the hill are (or we can roll)"
[Numenera] GM says, "And, hmm."
Aledonne starts dismantling the machinery. "Some of this looks like useful tech that we can re-construct into cyphers -- and if Molly sent us here, there's probably something even more valuable hidden inside."
[Numenera] GM says, "* The rust has weakened the joints here and there."
Aledonne says, "Give me a hand with this plate -- the joint here is rusted, and with a few more hands, we could pry it open."
Catrina says, "Sure. The bird said there was a baby Glissandra."
[Numenera] GM says, "OK, let's have Grav do an Investigate."
Catrina asks, "Is this an incubator?"
Aledonne shares his thoughts and observations with Catrina and Grav as they work.

[Numenera] GM says, "* The hill itself is one of Glissandra's children, and seems to be about ready to emerge."
Grav says, "neat"
[Numenera] GM says, "* However, it doesn't have the energy it needs; the pools were depleted. There's still some energy there, but it's being spread throughout all the hills."
[Crows-Nest] Molly says, "Grav Bindle, Midwife For Hire"

[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Ooh, ooh, I have ideas..."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks (of Grav), "Are you relaying all of this to us as well?"
[Numenera] Grav says, "yes"
Aledonne says, "We still have those circuit boards that were being used to convert the energy from Glissandra's milk into that other form of power."
Catrina says, "Oh I see"
Aledonne says, "With all of this equipment, I wonder if I could build something that would go the other way -- transforming some other kind of energy into an ersatz form of jellyfish song, to feed the child."
Aledonne says, "Assuming these circuits can be arrayed in an inverse configuration."
[Crows-Nest] GM says, "Ersatz Form of Jellyfish Song is my favorite Numenera cover band."
[Crows-Nest] Aledonne says, "Yay."
Aledonne says, "But I'm not sure what we would use for the energy source."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Also, are we all working at dismantling this shell while we talk, or just Aledonne?"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "(The physically weakest member of the party, I believe.)"
Catrina says, "All that stolen power went... somewhere."
Aledonne says, "Good point."
Grav says, "we could use my magnetic winch to pull off some of the machinery"
Aledonne exclaims, "Good idea!"
Catrina asks, "Did you want to get this hatch open in any case?"
Grav will wrap one end of the winch around a shield and connect the other side to the hill, then retract the wire.
[Numenera] GM says, "Also: Grav estimates that there'd be enough energy in *all* the liquid around here to feed this one polyp, but right now, the liquid is spread out too much."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Getting the actual liquid here would mean, e.g., rerouting the little streams running all through the area?"
[Numenera] GM says, "Right."
Aledonne says, "They've been shunting all the power into the air -- maybe we can pull some of it back out? There might be enough out there to do it. Maybe."
[Numenera] GM says, "OK: Grav is setting up the winch; someone can try to figure out either how best to attach the other side (investigate) or create something to make the stuff on the hill more coherent (Craft)"

Catrina scootches out of the way.
GM says (to Molly), "In the meantime you hear a faint, "Doot doot dooo... oh! Hunh. Doot doot doodle doodle...""
GM says, "And your caravan begins its trek up the mountain."
Aledonne is on top of part of the machinery at the time, latching the final pieces together, and rides the whole canopy down like a surfboard.
[Numenera] Grav says, "we all hear the tearing of metal as parts break off and fall to the ground as the ground beneath our feet is ripped out from under us. Then with a metallic groan the shell is torn from the hill as starts to skid across the ground."

Glissandra's cry echoes from the distance.
Kotrya shakes her head. "You better keep her away from here if you don't want her shot, girl."
Aledonne tries to build something -- using these spare parts as well as the circuit boards from the wheelhouse -- that will convert the energy that was broadcast into the air back into a form that the little hummer can use.
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Since the alternative would seem to be to somehow collect all the milk into one place, and I don't have a good plan for doing that."
Molly remains grimly silent. But hope is growing.
GM asks, "OK, let's see. That's a challenge, with a Crafts TN 5 for building the thing, and an Investigate TN 4 for figuring out where the broadcast might be echoing around still, and... something else. Any suggestions?"

[Numenera] GM says, "There was a boost from Grav's roll, so for now you're OK..."

Catrina whooshes up yonder tree.
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "That is enough to work! RP what you do!"
Aledonne constructs the conversion elements just fine, but his antenna array is barely functional unless it's pointed in *exactly* the right direction -- but fortunately, Grav is able to pinpoint that direction perfectly!
Grav will hold up an antenna he found and look for a signal.
GM says, "And the best signal seems to be right up that tree...\"
GM says, "And with that, your rig seems to be broadcasting Home Upon's songs right back into the hill. You think you might even hear a response from the hill itself. In the distance, you hear Glissandra's keening."
GM says, "Which, despite your request tha she stay away, seems to be getting closer."
[Numenera] GM says, "s/tha/that"
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Is this something we can leave running by itself, or do we need to be here to monitor it?"
[Numenera] GM says, "You think it should be self-sufficient for now."
Catrina climbs down
Aledonne says, "I think we've done everything we can here -- I wonder how Molly is doing."
Glissandra exclaims (at Molly), "MY CHILDREN CRY OUT! I MUST COME!"
Molly says (to Glissandra), "<Your child's hatching! I promise they'll be safe! Just stay away a little longer!>"
Glissandra says (to Molly), "THEY NEED ME! I MUST BE THERE"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Hm, looks like I'm just going to have to stop that 'weapon' myself."
[Numenera] GM says (to Molly), "If you want to just argue her out of the idea, Rapport seems apropos."
[Numenera] Molly exclaims, "I'll try!"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "OK! TN 7!"

[Numenera] Molly says, "I guess she *does* need to be there..."
[Numenera] Molly says, "Guess I'll have to deploy my Countermeasure to disarm the weapon, if I can get close enough."
[Numenera] Molly says, "(it's hidden in my clothes)"
[Numenera] GM says, "OK, let's see."
Grav says, "let's go break the big gun"
[Numenera] GM says, "In order to deploy the Countermeasure, you'll need to get your hands free somehow first."
Aledonne will follow Grav's lead.
[Numenera] Molly says, "Muscle powaaaah"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "TN 5!"

[Numenera] GM says, "(or fate point)"
[Numenera] Molly says, "I'm happy to take an injury."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "We are pretty consistent, aren't we."
[Numenera] Molly exclaims, "Anything for Glitchy's sake!"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "OK, you take a minor consequence 'sprained wrist', but your hands are free!"
Grav will use his shield under his feet to fly like Magneto
[Numenera] Catrina asks, "Are we working toward a cliffhanger?"
[Numenera] GM says, "I was hoping to actually finish ;-)"
[Numenera] GM says, "Let's see here."
[Numenera] Catrina says, "ok"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "I'm good to keep playing."
[Numenera] Molly says, "We should be able to finish! There's basically just busting the weapon and watching the hatching."
[Numenera] GM says, "I just have another thing in a few minutes."
[Numenera] GM says, "Alrighty. So! The three of you are surfing up the mountain on Grav's shields. It's more than a little tricky, but your athletics manage to keep you mostly balanced, and you pull up the others as you go."
GM says (to Molly), "As the group gets to the top of the mountain, you see what *must* be the gun, mounted on an outcrop of rock, and aimed back down the mountain."
Molly grits her teeth.
[Numenera] Molly says, "Do I RP the rest, or..."
Kotrya is looking down the mountain, peering with some sort of binoculars. "Hmm. I think Glissandra's on her way. Fire up the weapon! Nothing must stop us from our destination!
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "Physique TN 3 to suddenly jump up and run towards the weapon!"
[Numenera] Aledonne exclaims, "You'd bettter do *something* before Glissandra gets here!"
Molly rolls Great (4) + 4dF: 0 -1 +1 0 | Great (4)
Kotrya <general consternation>
GM exclaims, "Molly deploys her countermeasure, and the gun goes on the fritz! For one minute! Which just barely buys the rest of you time to surf into view!"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "And, each of you say what you do!"
[Numenera] Molly exclaims, "60 seconds to save Glissandra!"
Grav will try to incircle it with shields and try to crush it.
[Numenera] GM asks, "It'll take more than just that--probably another 3-part challenge. What do the rest of you try?"
Catrina stabs whoever seems to be operating the gun.
Aledonne throws his flash detonator at the bad guys surrounding the weapon! It emits a flash of light that that blinds everyone in that zone for a minute, so they can't aim it or protect it against Grav's attack!
Molly will try to create as much chaos as possible, ripping out components.
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "(I guess it's not exact a 'throws' kind of thing, since it's a 'wristband projector' form factor, but the principle stands.)"
[Numenera] GM says, "TN 4 for the shield crush; TN 3 for the attack. Either or both of you can tag Aledonne's flash for a +2"

Catrina stabs the person who seems to be loading the thing.
GM says, "And with that, the people working the gun are dispatched, and the gun itself is crushed! At the base of the mountain, you hear Glissandra's cry. Here at the top, the four of you, now reunited, stand on the outcrop with the defunct gun, staring down the Green Nights."
[Numenera] Molly says, "*epic music*"
Kotrya glares. "Fine. She seems to be distracted anyway. Nights! To the Resonator!
GM says, "Guards point guns at you, as the group of people all pile into an oddly-shaped building here at the top. In the sky overhead, the Belted Full Moon rises."
Aledonne asks, "To the what, now?"
Kotrya addresses her people. "Green Nights! Tonight we return to where we were kicked out, to reclaim what is rightfully ours!
[Numenera] Molly says, "Ah. They're literal lunatics."
[Numenera] GM says, "As a numeneran, that's just 'a full moon with the green belt'"
Catrina runs past the guards and into the building.
Catrina asks, "I'm on your side! Remember?"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Oh my."
GM says, "The guards look at Kotrya, who shrugs."
Kotrya exclaims, "Farewell, Bridge of Glissandra! We thank you for your patron's songs. We will sing them in glory at our destination!"
Catrina waves a sombre goodbye.
GM says, "And with that, something is activated in the background, and a rising hum of machinery rumbles from underfoot."
GM says, "Molly can just make out an evensong in the din, and then... everything disappears. The building, the hum, the people, and Catrina."
[Numenera] Molly exclaims, "Scotty!"
Glissandra says (to Molly), "MY CHILD IS BORN. THANK YOU, HUMAN."
Molly says (to Glissandra), "<You're always welcome.>"
Molly says (to Glissandra), "<Just doing the right thing.>"
Aledonne says, "Huh. That's not the path I was expecting Catrina to follow, but I suppose we all have to find our own ways, whatever they may be."
GM says, "And in the distance, you see Glissandra rising, with her child at her side."
Molly wipes away a tear from her grubby face. 'Bewtiful.'
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "And that's it!"
[Numenera] GM exclaims, "Thank you all!"
[Numenera] Catrina exclaims, "so long, suckers!"
[Numenera] Molly says, "YAAAYYY"
[Numenera] Aledonne exclaims, "Yay!"
[Numenera] Molly says, "That was awesome, I loved it"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "and yays all around"
[Numenera] GM says, "Oh, good."
[Numenera] Molly asks, "Also, this must be the third game now where the narrative *somehow* gravitates towards my character. Is this coincidence...?"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Yeah, it was a lot of fun."
[Numenera] Molly asks, "or is it because I'm always happy to help the GM?"
[Numenera] Molly says, "Because I am."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "I'm going to guess it's that, yeah."
[Numenera] Molly says, "Those juicy plodd hokks."
[Numenera] Aledonne exclaims (at lps), "Oh, also: thank you!"
[Numenera] Catrina says, "yes thanks to the GM for putting this together."
[Numenera] Molly says (to lps), "We love you! Thank you so much"
[Numenera] Molly offers a pack of kudos. They're tasty snacks flavoured with gratitude.
[Numenera] Aledonne says (to lps), "Also also, there was some possible talk of a Neighborhood game, if we can get enough people together."
[Numenera] Aledonne asks, "Do you think Quelline (or however you spell it) would be interested?"
[Numenera] Molly says, "It'd be just one session in June."
[Numenera] Molly says, "No god-killing allowed! (that requires at least two sessions)"
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Something to help tide us over through the Abyss of Baby."
[Numenera] Molly says, "When you stare at the baby, the baby also stares at you."
[Numenera] Molly says, "It'd be either June 13th or June 27th, if we do it at all."
[Numenera] Aledonne says, "Tale said he'd need a couple weeks' notice, which would put us at the 27th."
[Numenera] Molly says, "True."
[Numenera] Roger says, "someone can probably turn log off"
