DM says, "hellooooo, fantasy kids"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "In a future book about gritty futuristic fairies, I want to add the detail that since they can't cross running water, they are unable to shower like real people."

Shaborys says, "Hello"

Quarion says, "Greeting, o fair DM"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra asks, "Do they not take baths?"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Ah, good point"

DM says, "It's cool that we found at least one Saturday to play."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "A bath is not running water, so that's a loophole they can exploit"

Quarion exclaims, "Indeed it is!"

DM says, "But I've just checked the schedule and that looks kinda bleak. After August, I'm on vacation the first 2 weeks of September."

Quarion says, "Aw."

Shaborys says, "Me, too."

[Crows-Nest] (from Rashawndra) DM says, "So I hope you don't mind, but I'm just going to take you through the rest of this scenario. It might take 8 hours."

Quarion says, "And I might be in Poland end of September (around 24-26th)"

DM asks, "For work?"

Quarion says, "Yeah, conference"

Quarion says, "If I time it right, I could be back in time for that Saturday"

Rashawndra says, "That's OK. Scheduling is always the most difficult part of these things, but it's fun when we can make it."

[Crows-Nest] Shaborys says, "I'm also out that weekend."

Shaborys says, "Only here, not in channel."

Quarion says (to Shaborys), "28-29th? Oh, dear."

Shaborys says, "Yeah"

Quarion says, "September does look bleak."

DM says, "Looks like we'll be ... gone till November."

Vraklul says, "I guess we can add the September weekends to the wiki for everyone to fill out, and see if there are any weeks that work."

DM says, "(and give a kiss to my mother)"

Quarion asks (of DM), "What about October? Too much Halloween?"

Vraklul asks, "Or is every Saturday and every Sunday already ruled out?"

Rashawndra says (to Vrak), "You have the lock on the schedule page ;-)"

Vraklul exclaims (at Rush), "Yes, so that I can add the dates!"

DM says, "No, I'm just bad with dates, apparently"

Shaborys says, "I can still do the 21st of September. And I'm mostly free October, except the 19th and 20th for a wedding."

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "Judging from my tinder rating, haw haw"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "aw"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra asks, "?"

DM says, "October is indeed mostly free for me"

[Crows-Nest] Shaborys says, ""bad with dates""

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "-> bad with dates, double meaning of dates"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "Oh! Ha."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Maybe all these empty weekends will motivate me to actually try dating."

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "Try carbon dating; it's cheaper."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "haha"

[Crows-Nest] DM says (to Quarion), "You have to indulge your french half"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says (to DM), "the blood of the French aristocracy flows through me like wine! (seriously, my mother nearly got married off to some aristocrat)"

Vraklul unlocks the schedule page.

DM says, "September 21st should work for me as well"

Quarion says (to Vraklul), "Achievement unlocked: Schedule Master"

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "Maybe Jota needs to start dating, too"

[slingergame] Vraklul says (to DM), "Sorry, but you're not really my type."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "(Ilac.)"

Quarion says, "September 21rst is also possible for me"

Vraklul says, "Yay."

Rashawndra exclaims, "And I!"

Quarion imagines everyone raising their weapon of choice/tankard of ale.

Rashawndra *zot*

Quarion?

Vraklul says (to Quarion), "Now I'm imagining a dwarven tavern brawler whose weapon of choice *is* a +1 Tankard of Ale."

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "(Rush's weapon of choice is a spell)"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Aha"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "I don't know what I was imagining that *zot* to be"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "It makes me think of the Usenet Oracle."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "But that is because I am Old."

[Crows-Nest] DM asks, "Isn't the Orb of Zot an item in some roguelike?"

[slingergame] DM asks, "Are there any more pendingb question we need to answer before we start?"

[slingergame] Rashawndra exclaims, "Not from me!"

[slingergame] Shaborys says, "Nope"

[slingergame] Quarion exclaims, "I'm good!"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "A brief reminder of the current situation would be good."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "We walked into a circle."

[slingergame] Shaborys says, "We jumped into th-- yeah."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says (to Vrak), "We're rolling up new characters."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "Which is better than walking into a bar -- BONK"

[slingergame] Vraklul says (to Shaborys), "Well, yes, but the surrounding stuff."

[slingergame] DM says, "So, last time you made your way to the swamp and found a forest of trees that were actually people ... in pain."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "I remember that we're here because the feather led us here, and that M'Arce's team was using the feather to try to find something, but not what they using it for."

[slingergame] DM says, "You fought some M1s and R2 and it was all jolly good fun."

[slingergame] Quarion asks, "Did we fight R2-D2 at the M1M1?"

[slingergame] DM says, "They were trying to find a stone circle, but what they hoped to find beyond it is unclear."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "The source of the corruption, I thought."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "And I don't remember if this is a side quest, or if this is meant to directly help the people of Elf Kingdom and Other Elf Kingdom make up and/or figure out the real murderer."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "The latter"

[slingergame] DM says (to Quarion), "Darmok and Jalad... at Tanagra."

[slingergame] DM says, "also, Bloodfang stayed out of the circle, being the smart one of the bunch."

[slingergame] DM says, "(No offense, Knuckleheads)"

[slingergame] Vraklul asks (of Quarion), "And we know that helping M'Arce will help with the main quest... because NotM'Arce, the orcish mistress of disguise told us?"

[slingergame] Quarion says, "I think so"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "OK! Then I think I'm all caught up again."

[slingergame] DM says, "(Shoullak Heelrender)"

[slingergame] Vraklul exclaims, "Thanks!"

[slingergame] Vraklul says (to DM), "Right, that's what I said."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "AKA 'love interest for someone who will not be named'"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Oh, uh, one more thing:"

[slingergame] DM says, "it's not that I had to look that up myself"

Recapped 100 of 675 lines from games/roleplaying/slingergame, rooms/dtt, and games/roleplaying/Crows-Nest (17m40 to 00m08 ago).

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "I literally just looked up her name, too."

[slingergame] Bert says, "Log on."

[slingergame] DM says (to Vraklul), "Good thing I reminded you to start the transcript."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says (to Bert), "(maybe recap #slingerg for the recap?)"

[slingergame] Vraklul exclaims (at Rush), "Already did!"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Perfect."

DM says, "You step through the portal and there is a certain, familiar sense of ... weightlessness ... and faint, distant sound, like chittering, or scratching ..."

[slingergame] Rashawndra asks, "Familiar as in 'when we were in void' familiar?"

Vraklul looks around for dragons.

[Crows-Nest] Shaborys says, "This portal is infested with squirrels."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "s/infested with/powered by/"

DM says, "But before you fully arrive in the Void, a familiar vision flashes before you yet again:"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says (to Shaborys), "</nobilis>"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "(for those who remember that)"

[Crows-Nest] (from Quarion) Shaborys adds, 'Yummy squirrels.'

[Crows-Nest] Roger says, "now you're thinking with portals"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "(we fought, among other people, the Noble of Squirrels)"

DM says, "In the forest the unicorn runs, strong, but faltering. And something else still hunts it. Black, doglike beasts sniff the air and the forest falls quiet. The unicorn runs, but is growing more tired still."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "I think the only NPC noble I can remember is the guy who was writing a really long, really bad, *really long* novel."

Rashawndra . o O ( It's a literal unicorn? )

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "But I'll never forget the pants."

Quarion wishes he could Fireball those hounds. But it's just a vision.

DM says, "And then you arrive in the void, drifting around helplessly, and you are in some sort of tunnel, or elongated cage. It's an assymetric jumble of lines and seems to be made of bones? And outside the tunnel, white, albino-like, the guardians of the void, in insectoid shapes, trying to get in."

Vraklul says, "Huh, for some reason I thought this portal thing was going to lead us to an actual place."

Quarion says, "Me too"

Rashawndra says, "Well, *I'm* in an actual place."

DM says, "FOR THE LAST TIME, YOU'RE MAKING THE GUARDIANS REALLY AN- oh, it's you guys.""

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "'Outside the tunnel' == at the end of the tunnel? Or are the bone walls like bars, and they're peeking in through them?"

DM says, "A rainbow-shaped dragon lands on Shaborys' shoulder and peers around her head directly into her eyes."

[slingergame] DM says, "The latter"

Shaborys gazes back.

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "Is this our dragon?"

[slingergame] DM exclaims, "Yes!"

Rashawndra exclaims, "Oh, hi!"

Shaborys says, "Hello!"

Rashawndra says, "Aww, this is where I met you guys."

Quarion exclaims, "Why, it's the Voidwalker!"

Voidwander says, "It's you! the guys who died but didn't, and then fought the snot-head bane or something? Did you win?"

Vraklul exclaims, "We've won a bunch of stuff since the last time we saw you!"

Quarion says, "We won, yeah! Now we're trying to save my home forest."

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "Didn't we fight the snot-head bane *before* we met Voidwander?"

DM says, "He elegantly flies over and lands on Vraklul's head, and, louder, to be audible over the noise of the guardians: "Nice work!""

[slingergame] Quarion says, "I think we did"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Possibly sequential time isn't his forte."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "likely"

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "Incidentally, Audible is also the name of today's sponsor"

Vraklul asks, "Thanks! And what have you been up to lately?"

DM flies overf again and lands upside down under the brim of Quarion's hat. "Your forest? Does that have to do with the quick one and his pals?

Rashawndra asks, "Probably?"

Rashawndra asks, "Tell us about the quick on and his pals. Did they build this tunnel?"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "s/on/one/"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "For a moment, I was thinking that he was calling Quarion 'the quick one'."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Well, once Rush casts Haste, *everyone* is potentially the Quick One"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "But let's let the Voidwalker explain the situation"

Voidwander says, "Yes! They had a heard time getting through the Void into the Feywild because I sure as hell wasn't helping them. So they used the bones of a lot of fey to build this tunnel. And they transported some ... some beasts through here."

Vraklul asks, "So this was someone from *our* side, trying to get over there?"

DM flies up again, corkscrews around Rush and lands on her head, looking down into her face. "Hey, did you find my story yet?"

Rashawndra says, "I didn't! I'm sorry. I'll keep looking."

Rashawndra says, "But tell us about this quick one. I bet he's the one we're after now."

Rashawndra says, "We're kind of lost."

Voidwalker, just for a second, loses his happy demeanor, but then shrugs. "That's okay"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "aww"

Rashawndra says, "Man, bones of fey can't be good."

Rashawndra says, "That's nasty."

Quarion mutters, 'What is it with these damnable villains and their bones'

Vraklul asks, "An eye on his eye?"

[slingergame] Rashawndra asks, "Do we know a Korred?"

Vraklul asks, "Is he, like, just one big eyeball? With lots of little eyes sticking out of it?"

[slingergame] DM says, "You fought a Korred last time"

Vraklul exclaims, "Oh, wait!"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Yeah, that."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "It looked kinda like a K, I think."

Vraklul asks, "What about that little evil gnome-like guy?"

[slingergame] Rashawndra asks, "Oh, and there was a small fast thing?"

Vraklul asks, "I think he burrowed under the ground and ran away or something?"

[slingergame] Vraklul | [slingergame] DM asks, "The dwarvish thing seems to be a Korred, some fey connected to Earth and Stone, and the skittish thing is ... some fey?"

[slingergame] Rashawndra asks (of GM), "Did you mean to say 'huge eye on his face'?"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "I remember the 'quickling'..."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "which looked like a Q"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Also, earlier:"

[slingergame] Vraklul | DM says, "Before the tree stand a small, almost dwarven-like figure on a stone slab, laughing at the person in the tree, around him, more Meenlocks shudder in an out of the shadow. And there is someone, something very small and very skittish, near the tree."

[slingergame] Rashawndra asks, "Can we roll Lore or something to see if we know what kind of creature this eye thing is?"

[slingergame] DM says, "That guy has a way with words"

[slingergame] DM says, "You're pretty sure the thing you saw earlier was a quickling."

[slingergame] DM says, "Which is a small, very fast fey with normal eyes"

Vraklul says, "If this quick guy is involved with the korred and the other fey we've been fighthing, then something tells me he's up to no good."

[slingergame] Rashawndra tries Arcana, just in case:

Rashawndra rolls 1 20-sided die: 4 | 4 + 2 = 6

Rashawndra thinks, but can't remember hearing about any such creature before.

[slingergame] DM says (to rush), "You're pretty sure the thing you saw earlier was a quickling."

[slingergame] DM says (to rush), "Which is a small, very fast fey with normal eyes"

Vraklul says (to Volkswagon), "Do you know where it went? We should probably do something about it."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Right, I was wondering about the eye thing."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Yeah, but that's all you get for a six."

[slingergame] DM says (to Vraklul), "ha ha"

[slingergame] DM says, "He's not a beetle"

Rashawndra turns around. Is there an obvious way back through to the stone circle?

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "I feel like the fact that his name is wavering between Voidwanderer, Voidwander and Voidwalker is probably something that's happening entirely IC as reality keeps slightly shifting around him."

Voidwalker says, "Sure! He went through the other end of the tunnel! Into the Feywild."

Vraklul asks (of Rush), "You want to go back?"

[slingergame] DM says (to rush), "There is a shimmering portal behind you"

Rashawndra says, "I want to know if we *could* go back."

Rashawndra says, "But no. We couldn't even rest there."

Vraklul says, "Oh."

Vraklul says, "Enh, I'm sure we'll find some way back."

Rashawndra says, "Which makes me wonder if we should rest now? Or if those other guys are only a couple minutes ahead of us, maybe not."

Vraklul asks (of Voidwalker), "Is this a safe place to sit down and relax for a bit?"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "(meta-game-wise, I am happy to go into the next battle depleted if that was the goal of the GM.)"

[slingergame] Quarion says, "me too"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Ideally, I'd like at least a short rest in order to check out M'Arce's sword."

Voidwanderer says, "I should warn you that everything in the Feywild is supposedly somewhat *off*? time might work different there, and other stuff, too."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "But I won't push it if everyone else wants to move forward."

[Crows-Nest] (from Quarion) Voidwanderer says, 'In the Feywild, scheduling conflicts don't exist.'

[slingergame] Rashawndra asks (of Vrak), "Maybe Voidguy knows something?"

Rashawndra asks, "Good to know. Anything else we should worry about? Like, I vaguely remember that we're not supposed to eat anything. Is that true?"

Vraklul pulls out the sword. "I was thinking I'd like to take some time examining M'Arce's sword -- I think there might be something special about it -- but if we don't have time, then I guess I can just ask M'Arce about it when we rescue him."

Voidwalker says, "Enh, you can eat some things, I guess. But not everything. Also, trust no one, and make no deals. Of course, everyone will want you to make a deal."

Rashawndra says, "On the other hand, if time works differently there anyway, maybe we can take a long rest with no harm."

[slingergame] Vraklul says (to Rush), "There, I've given the DM the opportunity in case he wants to have Voidguy exposit at me."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Yay ;-)"

Voidwalker says, "I'd say it's best to face the Feywild prepared for anything! But what do I know, I'm just a dragon."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "That sounds like the DM wants us to rest."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "And I, for one, will not argue with him :)"

[slingergame] Shaborys says, "That's how I interpretted it, as well"

Rashawndra says, "Let's rest, then! Assuming the other group already made it out of here into the feywild."

Quarion asks (of Voidwalker), "Can we rest here, since there are shadows back in the Forest?"

Voidwalker says, "I would not recommend resting here.""

[slingergame] Shaborys says, "Oh"

Vraklul says, "Oh. OK."

[slingergame] Rashawndra exclaims, "It's mixed signal GM!"

Quarion asks, "What about the Feywild? Are there spots we could camp?"

Voidwalker says, "First off, you're floating in nothingness! Second, I have no idea how long this cage will hold."

Vraklul exclaims, "Good point!"

Vraklul says, "We don't want to have to wade through a bunch more guardians again."

Voidwalker says, "(to Quarion) I think so? I'm stuck here, I just hear things."

Quarion says (to Voidwalker), "Thank you anyway."

Rashawndra asks, "Let's go float by the other exit, then, and we can rest there until the cage collapses?"

[slingergame] Vraklul says (to Rush), "So, as an aside: when we get out of here, I wonder if WOlfwater has a good research library that might mention the Voidwalker, perhaps with some backstory..."

Vraklul asks (of Rush), "You mean, just a short rest, to have lunch and a smoke?"

[slingergame] Rashawndra exclaims, "Indeed!"

Rashawndra says (to Vrak), "We'd be at least slightly better prepared to face whatever's on the other side, then."

[slingergame] Vraklul asks (of DM), "Are we able to move through the void by willing it, or do we need to push/pull ourselves along somehow?"

[slingergame] DM says, "You're always *slightly* drifting. You'd need a DEX(10) check to make it to the exit portal"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "We can pull ourselves along on the bones, though that's somewhat disconcerting."

[slingergame] DM says (to Rashwandra), "That runs a high risk of being stabbed through the gaps, though."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "I hate it when my gaps get stabbed."

Vraklul flaps his arms and tries to drift toward the exit!

[slingergame] DM says, "I got stabbed once while shopping at the Gap."

Vraklul rolls 1 20-sided die: 20 | 20 + 2 = 22

DM says, "(Afk)"

Rashawndra tries envisioning a mountain path, traveling along the tunnel, from when she was a kid.

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "(I don't have Acrobatics, but I wonder if it would apply here if one did.)"

DM says, "sorry, need to help my dad with something real quick)"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "np"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "np^2"

[slingergame] Vraklul has an idea.

DM says, "(ack, this might take a moment)"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "No rush, we have 8 hours."

[slingergame] Vraklul asks (of Rush), "The last time we met Void, did we make any speculations as to what his story might have been?"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Because something just occurred to me that we might have already mentioned, and I just forgot, or which we might not have thought of before."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "I can look it up, but I don't remember."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "Can't hurt to bounce the idea off us"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "So, the Void is where we ended up when we sorta died."

[slingergame] Rashawndra exclaims, "Oh, you think he's The Dragon!"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "The one the bad guy is getting the bones of."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Yeah."

[slingergame] Quarion asks, "Hasn't the bad guy already completed his bone collection?"

[slingergame] Quarion says, "Not that it changes anything."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "He did. And I think he reanimated the dragon, too."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "More like 'puppeteered its corpse'"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, ";Oh, darn."

[slingergame] Vraklul | DM says, "I met Argenschwinge once! Time is kind of funny here, but it's been a while. He was always nice, but a bit old and stuffy. I hope he's doing okay."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "Darn, there goes that theory"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Doesn't mean it couldn't still be true 'from a certain point of view'."

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "The external HD where my dad kept all the family photos from 2014 onwards suddenly stopped working."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Ack."

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "Luckily, just the power supply was botched."

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "I just gave him mine - wait shit"

DM goes home.

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra exclaims, "Backups!"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Oh, no."

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "This *is* the backup, but we're getting a second one."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Backups of backups of backups"

DM says, "So Vrak floats like a dolphin through water towards the exit portal"

Vraklul exclaims, "C'mon, guys, it's easy!"

Shaborys waits for the others to go.

Quarion rolls 1 20-sided die: 2 | 2 + 1 = 3

Quarion flails!

Quarion exclaims, "Ah! Ah!"

DM exclaims, "Quarion crashes into the wall of cage! A guardian stabs at him!"

DM rolls 1 20-sided die: 15 | 15 + 4 = 19

Quarion exclaims, "Argh!"

DM rolls 1 6-sided die: 6 | 6

[slingergame] DM says, "Oops"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Six damage? That's okay"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra asks (of DM), "Anything happen from trying to imagine a path?"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Except here."

[slingergame] DM says, "Well, you're already on a path, but I'd say this gives you advantage"

DM says, "After his misdadventure, and with some help from Vrak, Quarion makes it to the exit portal"

Vraklul exclaims (at Quarion), "No, no, *this* way!"

Quarion exclaims, "Sorry!"

Vraklul throws a rope for everyone else.

Rashawndra tries to walk/float down her path.

Rashawndra rolls 1 20-sided die: 12 | 12 + 2 = 14

Rashawndra rolls 1 20-sided die: 6 | 6 + 2 = 8

DM exclaims, "Rush bounces into the wall!"

DM says, "No wait, nevermind"

Vraklul asks (of Void), "You wanna come with us?"

Voidwalker says, "I can't leave the void. I feel compelled to stay."

Shaborys follows behind

Rashawndra keeps trying to envision the path so that Shaborys has a slightly easier time of it.

Shaborys rolls 1 20-sided die: 15 | 15 + 4 = 19

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Not that you need it ;-)"

Vraklul exclaims (at Void), "Aw. Maybe we'll see you on our way back!"

DM says, "Stabby also does the dolphin thing."

Shaborys does a little roll in the area.

Shaborys s/area/air

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, ", with a fond look, lets the image of the mountain path fade away."

Rashawndra, with a fond look, lets the image of the mountain path fade away.

DM says, "You're all near the green shimmering exit portal."

DM says, "Voidwalker follows elegantly behind you and hovers."

Vraklul says, "Let's get through before we drift away again."

Quarion exclaims, "Here we go! Knights!"

Voidwalker says, "It seems to be my lot in life to be constant while everyone else is moving through. Don't be sad for me ; This feels, right somehow. As if I'm ... making up for something. It was nice to see you again, Knights of Vrak Gijak."

Rashawndra grabs Quarion's hand, thinking of all that's happened since she first met everyone in this place, and hold her hand out for the next person.

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "yay"

Shaborys takes it.

Rashawndra exclaims, "Fareell, Voidwalker!"

Quarion exclaims, "Till next time!"

Vraklul takes Quarion's, and swims through!

Rashawndra says, "I'll keep looking for your story."

Voidwalker takes Stabby's hand for a second. it's tiny, and ver warm.

Shaborys says, "Bye!"

Shaborys aw.

Voidwalker says, "Thank you! Good luck!"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "(Making up for something...)"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "(And many-colored.)"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Oh."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "OH."

DM says, "And you're last image of him is a sommersault while he blinks in all colors of the rainbow, dashing through a void in the gaps, avoiding all angry Guardians with a laugh and a twirl."

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra asks, "?"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says (to Rush), "Dragons are color-coded for your convenience."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Metallic ones are all Good."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Chromatic ones -- red, green, blue, etc. -- are all Evil."

[slingergame] DM | Faerie dragons were extremely small in comparison to their large metallic or chromatic dragon cousinsabout the size of a cat.[2] Each had an iridescent coat of scales that reflected all colors of the rainbow, predominantly reflecting one particular color which changed with age

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Also, we saw a rainbow *thing* escape the Goat when we fought it"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Coincidence, probably."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "The DM appears to be trying to make us thing that Voidwalker *didn't* use to be an evil chromatic dragon in life."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "But I wouldn't trust him."

Quarion exclaims, "Whoo!"

DM says, "As you float into the green portal, another flash, and another vision:"

DM says, "The unicorn runs through the swamp, stumbling, its fluttering hide speckled with mud. Then the hounds are upon it. It does not cry out. Bloody snouts rising in the moonlight."

[slingergame] Shaborys says, "Eek"

Quarion exclaims, "No!"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Whoops, we spent too long in the Void. We lost."

DM says, "And, blinking that away, you find yourself ... in ..."

DM asks, "a clearing?"

Quarion looks up at the sky. Does it look weird?

DM says, "A pretty standard forest clearing. Bird sings in the distant, and it seems to be a lush, summery, pleasent day."

Vraklul says, "Hey, this is a lot nicer than the last forest we were in."

Vraklul says (to Quarion), "No offense intended."

Quarion says, "None taken..."

Rashawndra looks around for the return portal.

DM says, "And you are standing in an a familiar stone circle, surrounded by blooming chrysanthe... crysantemeth... flowes."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says (to DM), "I know, it's a pretty tricky word to remember how to spell."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says (to DM), "The important bit to remember is that there's an 'R' after the 'flowe' part."

Quarion asks, "So this is the Feywild?"

Vraklul asks, "It doesn't look all that wild?"

Shaborys looks around.

Vraklul looks for any signs that a bad guy came through here recently.

[Setting the zoned flag.]

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Bones, dead bodies, cursed items..."

DM says, "Nature/Survival"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "And littering."

DM says, "In fact, it has a certain dreamy quality to it."

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "Like Channing Tatum."

Vraklul rolls 1 20-sided die: 15 | 15 + 0 = 15

DM says (to Vraklul), "That's weird, it looks like nobody has been through here in years. The grass around the circle is knee-high and undisturbed, and the underbrush around the clearing is so thick you'd have to cut your way through."

Rashawndra says, "See? We had plenty of time to rest."

Vraklul says, "Huh. I can't find any tracks."

Rashawndra says, "Alternatively, we have plenty of time to rest *now*."

Rashawndra asks, "Should we?"

Quarion asks, "I think so?"

Vraklul asks, "Hmm. Is this because of some time thing? Has it been years since the quickthing came through, now? Or are we here *before* him?"

Shaborys says, "Hm."

Vraklul says, "Or maybe feywild plants are just *really* good at growing back."

Rashawndra says (to Vrak), "I'm not sure if there's any way to know."

Vraklul treads on some grass and breaks off a few pieces of undergrowth.

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "Wow, totally off-topic, but the notepad I'm using has the notes for one of the first Alex & Paul games in it. Wow."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "(Who?)"

Rashawndra says, "Well, I'm exhausted, and this place seems pleasant enough. I say we rest and if anything attacks us, then we'll know it's not OK to rest."

DM says (to Vraklul), "That works just as you'd think it does, but the grass is very lush and even the underbrush has a certain poetry to it."

[slingergame] Vraklul asks (of DM), "So it doesn't quickly spring/grow back?"

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "Nope"

Shaborys says, "I think we should rest, yes. We'll know if there's danger coming."

Rashawndra stakes out some grass, tramples it down by walking in circles a few times, then curls up to rest.

Vraklul says, "Plus, this will let us keep an eye on the gate in case we got through before it did."

Rashawndra mumbles "Wake me up if you need someone to take a watch...

[Crows-Nest] Quarion asks, "Long rest?"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "I vote for that."

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "If we can."

DM says, "Who stands guard? (In what order, I think the usual thing is 3="

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "Everyone's down on spells/rages/etc."

Shaborys will watch the gate for a bit.

[slingergame] Shaborys says, "i.e. I'm volunteering to be first"

Vraklul will take second shift.

Quarion will take the third.

Rashawndra takes whatever's left, which in this case turns out to be the last.

DM says (to Shaborys), "Stabby! During your watch ... a fox wanders into camp. (Your dagger doesn't react)"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "(also, Q isn't quite *asleep* asleep even when he's resting."

[slingergame] Vraklul asks (of DM), "Can we do short rest-type things during a long rest? E.g., if I sleep with the sword during Shaborys' shift, can I get a sense for any powers it might have?"

[Crows-Nest] Shaborys quietly skins and eats it.

[slingergame] DM says, "You don't need to sleep the full 8 hours, so yes"

[slingergame] DM says (to Shaborys), "Since that was on #crow's-nest ..."

[slingergame] Shaborys says, "Deliberately"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "She was only kidding about doing it quietly."

The fox begins to sniff around Quarion's pack.

Quarion is trancing.

Shaborys watches the fox.

The fox starts to gnaw and tear at it (maybe trying to get to his food?)

Shaborys says, "hey, hey, stop that"

Shaborys says, "Shoo"

The fox whispers, "But it smeels delicous!"

Shaborys asks, "Yes, it.. wait, what?"

The fox whispers, "Shush, you'll wake up your friends."

Shaborys says, "You should leave now."

The fox whispers, "Hmpf, fine. Be that way."

(From DM) The fox slinks off.

[slingergame] DM asks, "Hm, "slink" implies defeat and sneaking, right?"

[slingergame] Shaborys says, "Yeah"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Tail down and everything."

[slingergame] DM says, "Good :-)"

DM says (to Shaborys), "Nothing happens for the rest of your watch."

Shaborys wakes up Vrak and informs him of the talking fox.

Vraklul says, "Huh, neat."

Vraklul asks, "Did it have any useful info?"

Shaborys says, "I think it was hungry."

Vraklul exclaims, "I'll keep an eye out for it!"

DM exclaims, "Vrak!"

[slingergame] Shaborys says, "I like how neither of us are smart enough to be anything other than "hey, cool, a talking fox""

DM asks, "So you try to figure out the sword?"

[slingergame] Vraklul exclaims, "I do!"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "I wish to identify it, as described on page 136 of the DMG."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "(Meanwhile: it seems like I'm the only one who's updated http://slingergame.wikidot.com/schedule ?)"

DM says, "So, you examine it at best you can. It's fascinating - it's a Claymore, and seems improvised at first glance. The blade is made from rough, uneven Obsidian, but is incredibly, incredibly sharp. Like, gently lay a finger on it draw blood sharp. The hilt seems coppled together from fur and bone, but it is incredibly accuaretly fashioned to fit the wearer's hand. (Alas, not your brutish paws, but an elven's hand.) It's not magic per se, but a very personal weapon, and it just has this aura of age about it. Like it has been around for a while."

[slingergame] DM says, "A +1 greatsword, but it gives non-elves disadvantage using it)"

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "Not magic, but +1 due to supernatural levels of craftsmanship put into it?"

[slingergame] DM says, "Yes"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Cool."

DM says, "Later, during your watch, and eagle lands on nearby tree branch and eyes you."

[slingergame] Vraklul exclaims, "Now I feel it's even more important that we rescue M'Arce, so we can get this sword back into the hands where it belongs!"

Vraklul asks (of Eagle), "Hey. How's it going?"

Eagle says, "Hey man, just wanted to say you're doing a good job. We're proud of you.""

DM says, "And he flies off."

Vraklul asks, "Thanks...?"

DM says, "nothing happens for the rest of your watch."

Vraklul wakes up Rush and tells her about the fox and the eagle.

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "I think I see a pattern..."

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "Dang, should've used a bird and some bees"

[Crows-Nest] Shaborys says, "Why, yes. I am a fox."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Hee."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Bet you anything that Rush gets a talking flower."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says (to Shaborys), "Don't think Rush didn't already know that."

Rashawndra stretches and thanks Vrak.

Vraklul falls alseep within about thirty or so seconds of lying down.

DM says, "Rush. After an hour or so into your watch, you sense something stalking around in the forest outside the clearing. Something big, that doesn't try to stay quiet."

Rashawndra eyes Shabory's dagger.

DM says, "Quiet as death."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "(pretend I spelled that correctly.)"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "That sounds both ominous and not ominous ;-)"

[slingergame] DM says, "Enh, I can't get on any high hoarse about spelling"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says (to Quarion), "One of these, I assume: https://sc01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1LZtsdUgQMeJjy0Fjq6yExFXaK/New-Arrival-Design-Giant-Artificial-Flower-Festival.jpg_350x350.jpg"

Rashawndra calls out quietly, "Hello?"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "haha"

Voice says, ""Hello, motherless one.""

Rashawndra swallows.

Rashawndra says, "Do you... do you know anything about my mother? Or my father? Or my people? or... or anything. Anything, really."

Voice says, "You and your friends walk my forest, and deny my envoys food.""

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says (to Shaborys), "Pikachu, I blame you"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Hee."

Rashawndra says, "Did... did the fox want something? The eagle didn't say it wanted anything; it just left."

DM says (to Rashwandra), "For just a second, there is a flash of white, featureless eyes, about the size of a human head."

Rashawndra stumbles back, startled.

Voice says, "So the Mother of Questions has just one question for you. Do you still think ... you're a tiefling?""

DM says, "*slowly fading cackling laughter*"

Rashawndra looks at her blue skin and feels her horns.

Rashawndra asks, "I do?"

DM says, "Silence."

Rashawndra exclaims, "Hey. Hey! Come back here and tell me about my mother!"

Rashawndra says, "I don't..."

Rashawndra says, "I don't know anything about her."

Rashawndra sits down in the grass and stares into the forest.

DM says, "But nothing else happens for the rest of your watch."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "I think you skipped my watch"

[slingergame] DM says, "Vrak woke Rush instead of you"

[slingergame] Quarion exclaims, "ah!"

[slingergame] Quarion says, "I am still trancing"

Rashawndra wakes Quarion, gives him a big hug with no explanation, and tries to go back to sleep.

Quarion asks, "Wuh?"

[slingergame] Vraklul exclaims, "Whoops! I missed the order, sorry!"

Rashawndra says, "I noticed, but Rush didn't ;-)"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "er, except here."

DM says, "Rush has been asleep for half an hour or so, when you see a fox sneak into camp."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "Did Rush tell me what happened, or..."

[slingergame] Shaborys says, "Doesn't sound like it."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "'a big hug with no explanation'"

Quarion looks at the fox.

[slingergame] Shaborys asks, "What does the fox say?"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "If you want to ask her, she would, but no, she didn't."

The fox slowly moves up to Vraklul's pack and sniffs it.

Quarion uses Mage Hand to tap the fox on the back, meaningfully.

The fox jumps a few inches in the air and turns around, startled. "Hey, who's there? Cut it out!"

Quarion says (to Fox), "Oh, so you speak. I apologize for startling you, but I was wondering what you were doing with that."

Quarion says, "I'm somewhat new to this whole Feywild thing."

The fox whispers, "I'm looking for food. It smells delicious here. Can you spare something?"

Quarion whispers back, 'I think I have some leftovers. usually I give them to Bloodfang, but since he's not here, you can have them.'

The fox gobbles down some leftovers hastily. "Thanks man."

Quarion whispers, 'No problem.'

The fox whispers, "In return, I have an answer to a question you don't yet know : They do not come in anger, but in despair."

The fox sneaks off quickly.

Quarion mutters under his breath, 'Riddles.' Then he writes down the 'answer' in his notebook.

DM says, "Nothing happens for the rest of your watch, and then a distant bird greets the morning with a beautiful song."

Quarion asks, "Did anyone meet talking animals last night?"

Shaborys says, "Yes."

Vraklul exclaims, "Yeah!"

[slingergame] DM exclaims, "You all had a long rest!"

Vraklul exclaims, "The eagles say we're doing a great job!"

Rashawndra says, "Not... not quite."

Shaborys asks, "I saw a fox. I guess it was hungry?"

Quarion says (to Shaborys), "I hope you didn't *eat* it"

Shaborys says, "I did not!"

Quarion says, "Good, that must have been the same fox as me."

Quarion says, "I gave it some of my food and it gave me an answer to some unknown riddle."

Shaborys oh.

Shaborys asks, "Well, what's the answer?"

Quarion says, "Apparently 'they' will come in despair rather than in anger."

Shaborys hmmm.

Shaborys asks (of Rush), ""What do you mean, "not quite"?"

Rashawndra says, "It's..."

[slingergame] Vraklul asks (of DM), "Did we ever roleplay meeting my eagle totem when I reached level 3?"

Rashawndra says, "There was... something. Big. I only saw her eyes, but they were huge."

Rashawndra says, "And..."

Vraklul asks, "Like a giant?"

[slingergame] DM says, "Too close to the ground for giant's eyes"

[slingergame] Shaborys says, "A giant on its tummy"

Rashawndra says, "and she called me motherless like she knew me but she wouldn't tell me about my mother and I don't know anything about my mother and I think she did but didn't tell me and I don't know anything and then she asked if I was really a tiefling and like blue skin and horns, duh? and then nothing and she left me and i still don't know anything"

Shaborys says, "Of course you're a tiefling!"

Vraklul says, "Maybe it's another riddle thing."

Rashawndra asks, "I know, right?"

Quarion exclaims, "Riddles!"

Vraklul asks, "When is a tiefling not a tiefling?"

Shaborys asks, "When it's a jar?"

Rashawndra asks, "when I come in despair and not anger?"

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "This song needs some work"

Rashawndra says, "...anyway now I miss my mom. Both of them, i guess."

Shaborys awws and hugs.

Vraklul says, "Aw. I'm sorry."

Rashawndra sniffs a little and hugs Shaborys back.

Quarion exclaims, "I feel like this is a test. But we will prevail!"

Quarion says, "Our finest hour is yet to come."

Rashawndra rouses herself. "Well, I guess we should figure out which way to go?"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "(Ah: the answer to my earlier question is: 'yes, but I didn't see the eagle'.)"

Vraklul tries the feather compass again.

DM says, "The feather floats up at points at the stone circle"

Quarion says, "Of course."

Vraklul says, "Well, at least we can find our way back."

Quarion exclaims, "Indeed!"

Quarion says, "We shall always be able to find the doorway."

Vraklul exclaims, "Since we don't have to worry about getting lost, we can try going in any direction and see what happens!"

Rashawndra stalks around the area looking for a path or a geographical feature to head towards.

Rashawndra rolls 1 20-sided die: 9 | 9 + 6 = 15

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "(survival)"

DM exclaims, "Rush hacks and curses and hops and crawls her way through the underbrush and finds ... a road!"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "If we happen to see or hear any animals along the way, I'm going to try to strike up a conversation with them."

DM says, "A stone road, heading roughling NE and SW."

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "Not sure if you folks are familiar with IF terminology"

Rashawndra looks on the road for signs of passage one way or the other.

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "Hee"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, ">SAVE"

DM says (to Rashwandra), "There is a roadsign. It says "Maytal's Field" in one direction and "Mountains" in the other. In Infernal"

DM exclaims (at Vraklul), "Hey this roadsign is in Oricsh!"

Rashawndra . o O ( Infernal? )

DM exclaims (at Quarion), "They this roadsign is in Elvish!"

Vraklul translates for everyone, since obviously they won't be able to read it.

Rashawndra asks, "Why is this roadsign written in Infernal?"

Quarion reads the roadsign, raising an eyebrow

Shaborys asks, "How did you read that, Vrak?"

Vraklul says (to Shaborys), "Oh, my dad's an orc. I thought you knew."

Quarion exclaims, "Wait!"

Shaborys asks, "It's.. in infernal?"

Quarion says, "Nonsense! It's in Elvish"

Rashawndra says, "Hunh."

Vraklul looks closer.

Rashawndra traces the lines of the letters with her fingers.

DM says (to rush), "Clearly Infernal"

Vraklul says, "Huh, neat."

Rashawndra asks (of Vrak/Quarion), "Was I tracing the letters you see?"

Shaborys says, "Well. You're clearly a tiefling, Rush."

DM says (to Vraklul), "She traces the orcish letters and says it's Infernal"

Shaborys says, "No questions about it."

Rashawndra grins.

Vraklul says (to Rush), "Yeah. There must be some kind of magic spell on it to make you think it's in Infernal."

Rashawndra says, "No doubt."

Rashawndra asks, "Well, as lovely as heading to the mountains sounds, 'Maytal's field' seems like it's probably closer? Should we go there?"

Vraklul says, "It's probably really in some strange Fey language that none of us speak."

Shaborys says, "Sure."

Vraklul exclaims, "So it was awfully nice of whoever made the sign to do that!"

Shaborys says, "Unless it's a trap..."

[slingergame] DM says, "While you discuss that, afk real quick"

Rashawndra whispers "Thanks" to Shaborys as they head out.

Quarion asks (of Shaborys), "You're our trap expert. Is it a trap?"

[slingergame] DM says, "(luckily i hit the keep fresh button on my laundry)"

Shaborys says, "It's not my kind of trap."

Vraklul says, "Fields seem like a good choice to me, too."

Vraklul says, "Last time we climbed a mountain, it was way too cold for me."

Quarion says (to Vraklul), "We had to defrost you"

Rashawndra says, "If we have to go there, I'll just hang out on your shoulders to keep you warm."

Vraklul exclaims (at Rush), "You would have been right at home!"

Rashawndra grins.

Vraklul exclaims, "Good idea!"

Rashawndra exclaims, "I would have!"

[slingergame] DM asks, "So you take the road towards the field?"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Yup."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Yup."

DM says, "You travel for maybe two hours (though strangely, the sun doesn't seem to rise much, and then the road rather suddenly ends, without a trace, in the middle of the forest. But through the trees to the east you can see an open field."

Vraklul keeps going to the field, of course.

[slingergame] Rashawndra asks, "Does this mean that the road disappeared out from under our feet, or that it just ends in the forest?"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "It's a quantum field! You might excite it, and then boom"

DM says, "You arrive at a huge field - in fact, it reaches to the horizon in any direction. It is bordered by a flimsy wooden fence. In the field, also as far as the eye can see, huge, elephantine cows graze peacefully."

[slingergame] DM says, "The latter"

Shaborys looks hungrily at the cows.

[Crows-Nest] Quarion plays Jurassic Park theme on a moo machine.

Vraklul says, "Hey, this must be a farm."

Rashawndra asks (of cows), "Hello! Is this Maytal's field? Is Maytal home?"

Vraklul exclaims (at Cows), "Hello!"

[Crows-Nest] DM asks, "Can you excite a Quantum field early? or has that never happened to it before?"

Shaborys says, "Why are we.. oh. Right. Hello!"

Quarion exclaims (at Cows), "Greetings, Fey natives!"

The nearby cows look at you dully, but not too friendly, and go back to grazing.

[Crows-Nest] Shaborys says, "Spoiler: They're regular old cows."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "*Big* regular old cows."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion exclaims, "Maybe units of distance are different here!"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "And in fact it is we who are tiny"

Vraklul starts quietly chanting the Speak With Animals ritual under his breath.

Rashawndra looks across the field for a building or something.

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "Are the trees and grass normal size?"

[slingergame] DM says, "Indeed"

DM says (to Rashwandra), "It's just a field as far as the eye can see."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Maybe it's a perspective illusion, like in the LOTR movies"

DM says, "...10 minutes later ..."

Vraklul exclaims (at Cows), "Hello!"

Shaborys startles at hearing Vrak MOO.

Cow says, "Strangers. Not like."

Vraklul asks (of Cow), "Sorry -- we'll move along, then. But have there been any other strangers around?"

Cow says, "Strangers. Not questions. Get lost. Don't get too close."

Vraklul says (to Others), "I don't think these cows are going to be very cooperative. They don't seem to like strangers very much."

Vraklul exclaims (at Cow), "OK! Then just point us to where your farmer lives, and we'll go away!"

The cow takes a few steps towards you. "No questions."

DM says, "Other cows around also stop grazing and look in your direction."

Shaborys doesn't understand but senses this isn't going well and puts a hand on her bow.

Vraklul says (to Others), "Unless someone has something that will make cows like us, we should maybe move on."

Shaborys says, "Yeah, let's go. I don't like the looks of that one."

DM says, "You start across the field. And wander. More field, more cows."

DM asks, "Do you avoid the cows in your way?"

Vraklul gives the cows an appropriate berth.

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Oh, we're going across the field? It seemed kind of like a dead end."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "I thought we were going to look for Maytal."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Sure."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "But it's field as far as we can see."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "So I figure we're on the lookout for a farmhouse or something."

DM says, "So you wander. And wander. More field, more cows. Finally, around noon, a sign of life! there is a shed in the distance."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Can we get a bird's eye view somehow? If there's a willing flying creature, I could use Beast Sense."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "(Well, s/creature/animal/)"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Oh, I could polymorph."

[slingergame] Rashawndra exclaims, "But, shed!"

Vraklul exclaims, "Shed!"

Rashawndra walks up to the shed.

Shaborys says, "Wait!"

Rashawndra asks, "Hello?"

Shaborys says, "Don't touch it."

Rashawndra was about to knock, but waits.

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul asks (of Shaborys), "Do you think it might be a gazebo in disguise?"

Shaborys rushes over and checks the area for traps before even letting anyone knock or step too closely.

DM says, "It takes you another hour or two to arrive at the shed. Alas, it seems run down and abadonded."

[Crows-Nest] Shaborys says, "Gazebos are dangerous, man."

DM says, "The door is slightly ajar. (no windows)"

[slingergame] DM exclaims, "Investigation!"

Shaborys rolls 1 20-sided die: 16 | 16 + 6 = 22

Vraklul says, "So far, we've discovered that feywild foxes and eagles and giant eyes can talk, but feywild cows can't."

Vraklul asks, "Do feywild sheds speak?"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Sheddup"

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "It's from feywild cats shedding"

DM says (to Shaborys), "No traps, but, through the cracked door you can see that the shed is mostly empty except for something lying in the middle of it."

Vraklul asks (of Shed), "Hello? Do you speak Common?"

Shaborys peers in through the crack to gauge if the something is breathing or otherwise alive.

[Crows-Nest] DM asks, "What do you think I am, a chicken?"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul exclaims, "Yay!"

DM says (to Shaborys), "The something seems to a an old, dried up ... hand."

Shaborys ew. She pushes the door open.

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "But I guess we're not in Ussura."

DM says, "What's interesting though is that it seems to be wearing a number of gold rings."

Shaborys does not enter.

Vraklul looks over Shaborys' shoulder.

Shaborys wants those rings, but something isn't ok here.

Quarion casts Detect Magic on the hand!

Quarion says, "(with a wave of a wand)"

Vraklul asks, "Didn't we fight a bunch of hands once?"

Rashawndra asks (of Vrak), "Ew. Did you?"

Rashawndra says, "Or did I? I'd think I'd remember that."

DM says (to Quarion), "You sense all the magic items you guys are carrying, and one of the rings is magic. It's the school of ..."

[slingergame] DM says, "looking it up"

Shaborys says, "Yeah. Yeah we did. Ick."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "the school of 'looking it up' is just Divination"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "I'm thinking that in the first arc, there was a baddie who had a row of little evil hands blocking the side of the room he was on."

DM says, "Conjuration."

[slingergame] Shaborys | On the floor is what you take for a mass of spiders, but of course it's a lot of severed hands, turning towards you as you enter."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "There we go."

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "Does this hand remind us at all of those hands?"

Quarion says, "Hmmm... so this 'hand' might be able to conjure up some enemies to attack us."

[slingergame] DM says, "In that it is ... a hand."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "Handy."

Vraklul asks, "Is there any good reason I shouldn't go in and pick that up?"

Vraklul says, "I mean, the shed seems abandoned, so I don't think it'd really be stealing."

Shaborys says, "The sooner we get that ring off it, the better I'd feel."

Quarion says, "If you do, cut off [finger on which magic ring is] first."

Vraklul asks, "So, you want me to cut it up? I can't just take the ring off?"

Rashawndra says, "Hmm."

Quarion says, "I mean, whichever is faster"

Vraklul pulls out a knife, then waltzes into the room, and -- provided nothing happens to intefere -- picks up the hand and pries off the magic ring.

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Now I'm imagining Vraklul literally waltzing."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "And letting the hand lead."

DM says, "Nothing happens until you pick up the hand. Then, as you get ready to cut it up, the ring slips off it and onto your finger."

Shaborys oh. Shit?

Vraklul exclaims (at Quarion), "Got it!"

Rashawndra's eyebrows quirk.

Vraklul attempts to toss the ring over.

DM exclaims (at Vraklul), "It won't come off!"

Vraklul says, "Huh, weird. It's stuck."

Rashawndra says, "Oy."

Vraklul walks out, handing the hand to Shaborys as he walks by, so he can have both hands free to try to pull the ring off.

Shaborys takes the other rings and pockets them.

DM says, "As Vrak moves outside, a small swarm of yellow butterflies slowly assembles and begins to surround him."

Quarion exclaims, "Conjuration!"

Vraklul exclaims (at Butterfly), "Hello!"

Vraklul says, "Maybe it's a ring of butterfly summoning."

[slingergame] DM says (to Vraklul), "Everything that requires concentration (Perception, Investigation etc.) has disadvantage until you find a way to remove the ring."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "Because butterflies land on Vraklul's nose all the time"

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "But not things like attacking, making saves, etc.?"

DM says, "These don't seem to be the talking kind of animals."

[slingergame] DM says, "Generally no, but I'd reserve to apply it situationally."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Fair enough."

Rashawndra watches the butterflies carefully to see if they turn menacing or if they're just... there.

Vraklul holds out a finger to see if one will land on it.

DM says, "They are just there and flutter around Vraklul. They are actually kind of pretty,"

DM exclaims (at Vraklul), "It does!"

Vraklul says (to Butterfly), "I'm naming you Dolores."

[slingergame] Rashawndra asks, "Are the butterflies themselves what are distracting?"

[Crows-Nest] Shaborys says, "Resisting the urge to copy Vrak and then eat the butterfly that lands on my finger :D"

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "hehe"

Vraklul says (to Quarion), "I'm sorry I accidentally got your ring of butterflies stuck on my finger."

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "sends the gif that says "That's so Stabby!""

[Crows-Nest] Shaborys says, "But only because Rush suggested we not eat anything while talking to the voidwalker."

[slingergame] DM says, "Yes. And No, you cannot spin this into a positive thing."

Vraklul says, "But you're free to share the butterflies as much as you like."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "That sounds like a challenge ;-)"

DM asks, "So, what are you and your butterfly buddies are going to do?"

[slingergame] DM -)

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "What do you mean, spin? What could be more positive than having a cloud of beautiful butterflies following you every place you go?"

[Crows-Nest] Shaborys says, "THOUGH.. if I ate one, would a new one appear in its place? Food for thought."

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra exclaims, "Endless source of food!"

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "Butterflies are probably technically considered vermin rather than beasts, I'm guessing?"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "time to spin a curse positively: 1.02 minutes."

[slingergame] DM says, "These especially"

Vraklul asks, "Do we have any way to fly up in the sky and see what's around here?"

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "How nutrious are butterflies from a cursed ring? Let's find out"

Roger goes home.

Roger has disconnected.

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Surely nothing in nature that's brightly colored and unafraid could possibly be poisonous or anything."

Quarion asks, "How high are we thinking here?"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says (to Vrak), "For polymorph? Ha."

Vraklul asks, "High enough to see something other than just more field?"

Rashawndra says, "I could turn into a bird."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul exclaims (at Rush), "I was thinking of Beast Sense and Speak With Animals, but that's also a good one!"

Rashawndra says, "I'd be thinking like a bird when I did it, though."

Vraklul asks, "Could you turn into a smart bird?"

Vraklul asks, "Like one of those talking ones?"

Vraklul asks, "Or are those magical?"

Rashawndra says, "Who knows what would happen in this plane, but in general, it's sort of the level of 'well trained animal'."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Vraklul: Unsure if ravens and parrots count as beasts or as magical creatures."

Rashawndra says, "It'd cost my only level-4 spell slot, but..."

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "he he"

Quarion says, "We need a scout anyway."

Rashawndra asks, "Maybe try your animal-kinship thing first?"

Vraklul says, "If you're worried that you won't be smart enough to pay attention to what you're seeing, I could hitchhike with you."

[slingergame] Shaborys asks, "How tall is this shed?"

[slingergame] Vraklul exclaims, "Timing!"

[slingergame] DM asks, "Uh, quite small actually. 4-5 feet?"

Vraklul exclaims, "That sounds like a complete and well thought out plan!"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "So we could probably fit it on a cow if we had to."

[slingergame] Quarion blinks

Vraklul starts ritual casting Beast Sense.

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Yes. We'll put the shed on a cow and ride it across the field."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul exclaims, "Now lets see how disadvantage on things requiring concentration works when the thing in question doesn't involve making a roll!"

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "That is a good question"

[Crows-Nest] DM asks, "Does it require Concentration?"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "For a before-we-look-it-up answer, the obvious solutions are 'it doesn't affect it' or 'it takes longer than normal'."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Or 'it now requires a roll'."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Like, maybe a Wisdom or Constitution save."

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "The duration is 'concentration'."

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "Since those are DC10 Constitution throws, we can skip them I think."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul asks, "So maybe I just need to make periodic concentration checks?"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra asks, "So maybe you get disadvantage on all your *other* rolls when you're concentrating on it?"

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "Thing is, once he uses Beast Sense, he won't be much distracted, because he isn't using his senses."

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "Heh."

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra exclaims, "OK!"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul exclaims, "Ha!"

[slingergame] DM asks (of Rush), "But wait, what did you turn into?"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul exclaims, "We have accidentally solved the butterfly puzzle!"

[Crows-Nest] Rashawndra says, "Nothing, yet."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Nothing, yet."

[slingergame] Rashawndra asks, "But probably Giant Eagle?"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "(the only things I can turn into are Beasts."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, ")"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Unless there's another bird around here."

[slingergame] DM says, "None that you can see (you heard some songbirds earlier)"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "I am all in favor of eagles, for perhaps obvious reasons."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Sure, let's burn a spell."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "It's a cute use."

Rashawndra waits for Vraklul to finish the ritual, then transforms into a giant eagle!

[slingergame] (from Quarion) Later: amidst the smouldering corpses of the party: 'I knew I should have... kept that spell... for laterrrr...'

[slingergame] Quarion says, "(except on #crows-nest)"

Quarion exclaims, "Wooo!"

[slingergame] Rashawndra | https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Giant%20Eagle#content

Vraklul gently caresses the eagle's headfeathers, transferring his perception into its senses.

DM says (to rush), "Congrats, you are an eagle (giant)"

Quarion exclaims, "Soar, Rush, soar!"

DM says (to Vraklul), "Congrats, you feel like an eagle (giant)"

Rashawndra takes off and spirals up into the air!

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "I imagine it must be a bit odd for me to suddenly be staring at myself."

[slingergame] DM says (to Vraklul), "You need a haircut"

EagleRush looks around the countryside as far as she can see.

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says (to Rush), "I have just one question for you."

DM exclaims, "You soar into the air and it is AWESOME!"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul asks, "Do you still think you're a tiefling?"

[slingergame] EagleRush asks, "Looks like I get a Perception check with advantage?"

[Crows-Nest] EagleRush says, "Hee"

[slingergame] DM says, "Roll it"

[Crows-Nest] EagleRush says, "In my heart, I know I'm a tiefling."

EagleRush rolls 1 20-sided die: 10 | 10 + 6 = 16

EagleRush rolls 1 20-sided die: 15 | 15 + 6 = 21

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "This field is *enormous*. From the ground it seemed to stretch to the horizon, and, as you soar higher and higher, you feel that it does. The only distinguishing feature you can make out is a lone tree, some distance to the east."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul asks, "Is anything visible outside the field?"

[Crows-Nest] EagleRush asks, "Is there still a boundary at the forest/road?"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul asks, "E.g., elsewhere in the forest, along the road? Can we see the mountains?"

[slingergame] DM says, "Where some distance means at least another day's travel away."

[slingergame] DM says, "You cannot see the edges of the field."

[slingergame] EagleRush says, "Oh, that's a lot more distance than I thought ;-)"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Translation: you'll get your spell slot back before we arrive."

[slingergame] DM says, "And, alarmingly, you can't see the forest either. It's field in *any* direction."

[slingergame] EagleRush says, "So, the field edge is completely gone? OK."

EagleRush tries to spy whehter there's any movement around the tree.

[slingergame] DM says, "Field and cows."

EagleRush rolls 1 20-sided die: 13 | 13 + 6 = 19

EagleRush rolls 1 20-sided die: 3 | 3 + 6 = 9

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "Does the horizon look like it normally would, aside from it being field forever?"

DM says (to EagleRush), "You see a tiny wisp of smoke from beneath it. Like from a pipe."

[slingergame] DM asks, "What do you mean?"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "As opposed to, say, it being visiblly curved as if we were somehow magically stuck on the outside of a giant ball."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Or there being a weird unnatural seam where the sky and ground met."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Or anything like that."

[slingergame] DM says, "Ah, nothing like that."

Roger has arrived.

[Crows-Nest] DM exclaims, "And a Roger!"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion exclaims, "Gasp! Initiative!"

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Roger that."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion fireballs Roger off the edge of the horizon.

[Crows-Nest] DM exclaims, "Roll against Canadian damage!"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "heh"

EagleRush takes the full ten minutes just wheeling around in the sky, enjoying the feel of the wind in her feathers, before finally returning to the party.

[Crows-Nest] Quarion asks, "Does she turn into a tieflin just before landing and roll in the grass?"

DM says (to Quarion&Shaborys), "Looks like the eagle is in no rush to return."

[slingergame] EagleRush exclaims, "Wait, no, an hour. Whee!"

Shaborys sits down on the grass.

DM says, "...1 hour later ..."

Vraklul switchs back to his own senses as Rush lands, and is momentarily surprised to be reminded that he's surrounded by butterflies.

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "*Cursed* butterflies."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul asks, "What do you mean?"

EagleRush tucks and rolls, then just lays in the grass, staring up at the sky.

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "They're magical butterflies."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Conjured up by a ring of butterflies."

Rashawndra says, "OK, I needed that."

Rashawndra says, "So, there's a tree to the east! And that's, like, it."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Just because I have thick fingers and we can't seem to get it to come off doesn't mean you should start throwing around words like 'cursed'."

Rashawndra says, "And some smoke from a pipe? It's over a day's journey that way."

Vraklul exclaims (at Rush), "That was great!"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Isnt that the sort of thing a cursed person would say? *points accusing finger*"

Rashawndra grins.

DM asks, "So you journey on?"

Shaborys suppose so.

Vraklul asks, "Do we do it on foot?"

Shaborys asks, "Those cows weren't friendly. You want to RIDE them?"

Vraklul says, "I was just thinking that Rush *could* fly. I don't know if that would be faster."

Quarion says, "I've walked many miles before, and I shall walk many miles more"

Rashawndra asks, "I could transform two of us, and the other two could ride?"

Quarion whistles Elvishly

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "I think? An eagle in particular is Large."

[slingergame] DM says, "Those kinds of eagles only come once you've thrown the cursed ring into the volcano."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "It looks like they fly at 80ft, and we walk at 30ft, so a twelve-hour walk would be a 4.5 hour flight, and the spell only lasts an hour."

Quarion exclaims, "Walking is good for you!"

Vraklul says, "As fast as we were going, I'm sure we could make it there in, like, ten minutes. Tops."

Vraklul exclaims, "But sure, walking works too!"

[slingergame] DM says, "Apparently a giant eagle can carry up to 4 party members, but you need a saddle"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Huh, neat."

[slingergame] Rashawndra asks, "Saddle, talon, talon?"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "A giant eagle can probably tow three party members of Quarion casts levitation on them."

Vraklul walks to the tree!

Shaborys follows.

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "(also, does 'a days travel' == '12 hours'?)"

DM says, "You wander, and wander. More field, more cows."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "I dunno, I just picked an arbitrary number."

[slingergame] DM says, "It's 8 hours"

DM says, "And then the sun sinks, and there is still only field, and only more *stupid* cows."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "So, 3 hours at EagleSpeed."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "'The Travel Pace table assums that characters travel for 8 hours a day. They can push beyond that limit, at the risk of exhaustion.'"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Timing."

DM says, "And you rest for the night in a mostly cow-less part of the field."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "I could theoretically convert other spell slots to level-4 slots, but that's expensive in terms of spell slots."

Vraklul waves at the cows as they pass. Just because *one* cow was rude doesn't mean Vrak should be rude at all the rest of them.

DM says, "The cows stoically ignore any attempts at interaction."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Yeah, it's probably not worth it."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "But good to keep in mind if we ever need to get somewhere in a hurry."

DM asks, "Who takes watch?"

Rashawndra votes for same order as last time.

Shaborys says, "Sure."

Vraklul says, "Alright."

[slingergame] Rashawndra asks, "Nobody in 5e needs 8 hours uninterrupted sleep for a long rest any more, right?"

[slingergame] Quarion says, "Nah"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Right."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Technically, the rules don't strictly require sleep at all."

DM rolls 1 6-sided die: 6 | 6

DM says, "Wait"

DM rolls 1 8-sided die: 6 | 6

[slingergame] Quarion exclaims, "!"

DM says, "ha ha"

DM says (to rush), "During your watch... make a perception check."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "As Maciej says, the dice do not lie"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "(In practice, any reasonable DM will probably make you start taking levels of exhaustion if you don't roleplay regular sleeping, in case you're getting any ideas.)"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "(AFK a moment.)"

[D&D] Roger says, "there's some new rules about sleep in... Xanathar's Guide, I think it is. If you're wondering."

Rashawndra rolls 1 20-sided die: 2 | 2 + 3 = 5

DM says (to rush), "You only notice as the cows near you get restless, and then you hear the, low, thundering sound of many, many hooves, heading in your general direction."

Rashawndra exclaims, "Ack!"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "(Back.)"

Rashawndra exclaims, "Everyone, wake up! Stampede!"

Quarion exclaims, "By the --!"

Vraklul opens his eyes. "Wha...?"

Rashawndra asks, "Do I have spells back yet?"

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "Can we see the stampede?"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "er, ilac"

DM says, "Everyone gets to their feet sleepily. The whole horizon seems to be one big dust cloud."

[slingergame] DM says (to rush), "Yes"

[slingergame] DM says (to Vraklul), "Also yes"

[slingergame] DM says, "You have around 3 rounds before they are upon you."

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "Which direction is the stampede coming from?"

Shaborys oh shit.

[slingergame] DM says, "Northerly"

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "And the tree was... easterly?"

Rashawndra asks, "OK, I can eagle two of us, and they can carry the other two?"

Quarion exclaims, "I volunteer!"

Rashawndra says, "OK! Let's do it, unless anyone has a better idea..."

Vraklul exclaims, "Sounds good. Let's meet at the tree!"

Shaborys says, "Do it do it do oh shit."

Rashawndra twins Polymorph on herself and Quarion, then picks up Shaborys and soars into the air!

Vraklul jumps on Quarion!

Quarion exclaims, "Ooof!"

Quarion exclaims, "Awwwk!"

DM says, "Okay, Strength check for the eagles (eagles have +3)"

EagleRush rolls 1 20-sided die: 11 | 11 + 3 = 14

Vraklul exclaims, "Alight, my feathery steed!"

Quarion rolls 1 20-sided die: 9 | 9 + 3 = 12

[slingergame] EagleRush says, "(I can add to that if I need it)"

Vraklul exclaims, "I mean, arise. Just, fly! Fly!"

Quarion flaps wings!

DM exclaims (at Vraklul), "Quarion can't manage to get a good grip on you. Make a Dex save, as you dange precariously from his talons!"

DM says, "(or dangle, rather)"

Vraklul rolls 1 20-sided die: 20 | 20 + 3 = 23

Vraklul rolls 1 20-sided die: 9 | 9 + 3 = 12

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "(Advantage from Danger Sense.)"

DM exclaims, "Vraklul swings and triple sommersaults onto Quarion's back!"

Quarion exclaims, "Awwwk!"

Vraklul exclaims (at Quarion), "Good job!"

Quarion says, "*flap flap flap*"

DM says, "After about 10 minutes of flying, the stampede begins to thin out, and after a further 10, you see the first cows who graze peacefully, only occasionally looking up at the distant sound of thundering hooves."

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "Does this mean that Quarion is flying now or is still on the ground?"

[slingergame] Vraklul exclaims, "I'll take that as option one!"

Quarion says, "*flappity flappity*"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "The sound design for this episode is super realistic"

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "Is riding on a giant eagle a situation that precludes ritually casting a spell?"

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "It's like I'm there"

[slingergame] DM says, "Does it have a what's the word, manual component? What I mean is, you can't use your hands"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Looks like ys."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "+e"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "I guess I'll never know what Quarion meant by 'Awwwk!'."

[slingergame] DM says, "ha ha"

DM asks, "So do you fly some more, or land?"

Quarion likes flying.

Vraklul points to the tree.

Quarion flies towards tree!

EagleRush keeps flying towards the tree!

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "If nothing else, an hour of flying will save us 2-3 hours of walking."

DM asks, "Okay, so... I guess Rush knows when an hour is up? But does Quarion? Does he have the INT(10) to remember?"

Quarion rolls 1 20-sided die: 11 | 11 + 3 = 14

[Crows-Nest] Quarion asks, "Wait, is it Bird Brain?"

DM exclaims, "He does!"

[slingergame] Vraklul asks (of Quarion), "+3?"

[slingergame] EagleRush says, "Right now he has Eagle intelligence, but happily I can talk to him and tell him when to land."

[slingergame] EagleRush says, "Since we both speak Giant Eagle."

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "I'd have succeeded even with a -1"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "So fortunately the point is moot"

[slingergame] DM exclaims, "Indeed, but it is more dramatic!"

[slingergame] Vraklul asks (of Quarion), "Do you realize that you're basically making the assumption that a generic bird is equally as intelligent as Vraklul?"

[slingergame] DM says, "The giant eagle has an INT of 8"

[slingergame] Vraklul asks (of DM), "Do you realize that you're basically making the assumption that a generic bird is equally as intelligent as Vraklul?"

[slingergame] DM says, "I'd say that's more than fair"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Yeah, OK."

[slingergame] DM says, "To who of the two, however ..."

DM exclaims, "another hour of walking, and you arrive at the tree!"

Vraklul exclaims, "Phew!"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "So that WAS an int mod of -1, and fortunately with a roll of 11 I just passed"

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "coorect"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion coos

Quarion says, "Behold... the tree."

Shaborys looks.

[slingergame] EagleRush asks, "Do we need to finish our Long Rest?"

DM says, "Beneath it sits a small figure, about the size of a human child, clad in a leather coat and wearing a wide-brimmed hat. As you step closer you realize it's a very, very old Goblin."

[slingergame] DM says, "No"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Cool."

Vraklul exclaims, "Hello!"

Quarion exclaims, "Greetings!"

Shaborys waves.

Vraklul . o O ( Can goblins talk in the feywild? )

Rashawndra nods to the Goblin.

The Goblin takes a few puffs on his pipe. "Hey, what are you doing in my field?"

Shaborys says, "Looking for you."

Rashawndra asks, "You're Maytal?"

(From DM) He shoots a glance at Vrak. "Hey, I cut off my hand to get rid off that thing! It's your problem now."

Vraklul asks (of Goblin), "What problem? Is there something wrong with it?"

Vraklul exchange glances with Dolores.

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "I'm suddenly imagining this Goblin as some sort of old Bruce Campbell"

Maytal says, "Eh, if you have no problem with it, I'm fine.""

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Ha ha ha."

[Crows-Nest] DM says, "snrk"

Vraklul asks, "Hey, we were out looking for a quickling with a korred. Have you seen anything like that lately?"

[Crows-Nest] (from Vraklul) Maytal says, "No questions. Not like strangers."

[Crows-Nest] Shaborys says, "ha"

Maytal taps his pipe on his knee and rubs his nose with the stump of his arm. "Hm, I might. You just need to do a small errand for me."

Shaborys asks, "What is it?"

Vraklul says, "Su-- wait."

Vraklul says, "Yeah, what she said."

Rashawndra asks, "If we do an errand for you, you'll see the quickling and the korred?"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "Oh, no, not a sidequest :-D"

Vraklul says (to Rush), "Let's not agree to that."

DM says (to rush), "If you do it, I will tell you if I have."

Vraklul says, "If it's an errand we don't mind doing, we can do it for him."

Shaborys says, "So we might get nothing out of this."

Vraklul says, "Right."

Rashawndra says, "Oh! I thought... Oh, right."

Maytal says, "Okay, fine. I *have* seen them, and know where they are, but I won't tell you unless you do this small errand for me.""

Shaborys asks, "So what's the errand then?"

[Crows-Nest] Quarion says, "We need a telepath"

Maytal says, "I will only tell you once you agree, of course."

[Crows-Nest] Vraklul says, "Ooh."

Vraklul says, "That's not what you said."

Vraklul says, "You said that you would tell us if we did the errand, not that we needed to *agree* to it."

Shaborys says, "We don't agree to things without knowing what they are."

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "I do have Detect Thoughts, but I'll hold off for now."

[slingergame] DM says, "Feel free to roll some Persuasion (Stabby and Vrak)"

Vraklul rolls 1 20-sided die: 8 | 8 + 0 = 8

Shaborys rolls 1 20-sided die: 15 | 15 + 4 = 19

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Actually, I think I will cast Detect Thoughts, for surface thoughts for now."

DM says (to Shaborys), "Okay... fine. You see I have led a long, long life in the Feywild and have seen many things. I will tell you where you friends have gone if you show me the one thing I haven't seen."

Rashawndra exclaims, "Oh, we can open a walnut for you!"

Rashawndra says, "I remember this one."

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Hee."

DM says, "And that is ... a beautiful Formorian."

DM says, "TO BE CONTINUED"

[slingergame] DM says, "Oops, Fomorian"

[slingergame] Shaborys says, "Gosh"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "Nooooooooo! Oh alright fine if the DM thinks he needs to sleep or something."

[slingergame] Quarion says, "Oh."

[slingergame] DM says, "Yeah, sorry, it's been a week of long days and another long day tomorrow and long week afer that."

[slingergame] Vraklul asks, "So we're meeting next on September 21?"

[slingergame] Quarion asks, "Probably?"

[slingergame] DM exclaims, "See you all in 2020!"

[slingergame] Vraklul says, "(Also: http://slingergame.wikidot.com/schedule, for noting who's available when.)"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says, "Don't apologize! This was a nice session."

[slingergame] Roger says, "looked good from the bleachers"

[slingergame] Vraklul says (to Rush), "That's why he's apologizing."

[slingergame] Vraklul says (to Rush), "Because he's ending it."

[peregaming] Quarion says, "In the meanwhile: there are two Saturdays in August for which there is me, 3g and lps available"

[peregaming] Quarion asks, "We can fit something there?"

[peregaming] DM says, "I'm not sure I can do the two Neighborhood sessions :/"

[peregaming] Quarion asks, "Oh no, the next two?"

[peregaming] Quarion asks, "Or just one of them?"

[peregaming] DM says, "I *think* Aug17 will work, but Aug 31st probably not."

[slingergame] Vraklul exclaims (at DM), "And thank you! It was great getting back to Bastafore again!"

[peregaming] Quarion says (to DM), "Then we'll make August 17 work."

[slingergame] Quarion says (to DM), "Thanks! I know things haven't been easy"

[peregaming] Quarion says, "I can either do a new superhero FATE game, or we can do something completely different"

[peregaming] Quarion says, "Or lps can GM, if he wants"

[peregaming] DM says, "Thanks! this was sort of experimental. I tried to do fun stuff that wasn't too dice-heavy"

[slingergame] DM says, "only here"

[slingergame] Rashawndra says (to DM), "I liked it! The thing about my mother was surprisingly affecting for me."

[slingergame] DM says, "Aw, thanks :) I hoped so."

[slingergame] DM says, "I can't really speak for October yet"
